Academy sells 3/4” boat storage clips. I screwed them with stainless screws into the kayak. You can see where the rod was used in the video. I used a 3/4 solid aluminum rod. I lined up the rod to the frame of the seat, drilled both and screwed them together using 1/4”/20 nuts and bolts stainless. The rod rides on the 3/4 boat storage clips. Use an old backpack strap to fasten it to the kayak on the back. Good luck 👍

Hello, that kayak seat was a perfect fit. It was the seat for an Ascend FS12. Bass pro used to sell it. It was called the Ascend Elite Kayak Seat for FS12 Sit In Kayak. But, that fs10 might work just as well. Just compare the dimensions.

Yeah. Still holding up. I’ve got an extra set of 3/4 clips and a solid 3/4 aluminum bar. Just needs to be drilled to fit the seat. J Acsend seat or Jackson elite seat will work

They sell these ascend seats new at bass pro just make sure you measure the place where the old seat was and make sure it’ll fit before you spend $60

Nah, no problem at all. The modification pretty much done over the original seating position. Very stable.
