    I was gonna make masks this week. Suddenly there's a dress shirt with pins in it on my table. I feel there may be a binge tailoring in my future. Great video as always. Appreciate the content, sir! It gives me something to aspire to and something to do with my kids. Now I just gotta get rid of this beach ball some body stuffed inside my shirt.

    You are incredible, SD. I’ve been following since the early days, and I’m so happy to see how much your channel has grown, man. As a guy that is between 5’6 and 5’7, its basically IMPOSSIBLE to find even a simple t-shirt that fits me, lengthwise, without spending astronomical amounts of money on niche “short guy” brands.
    Can you please do a few more videos on how to shorten the length and/or sleeves of tees, casuals, and dress shirts? Hope you are safe in these trying times, my man. Thank you for all that you do.

    For the straight stitch width: in some machines this dial can move the needle left and right subtlety. You can shift the needle to have very accurate top stitching. It makes it easy to use the same “landmark” when sewing. It’s very difficult to sew the same line 1 or 2 mm away from the last, so this feature makes it a no brainer. I hope that makes sense, just see how the needle shifts as you turn the dial

    The question I have is how to sew at the hem of a button down shirt? Usually I find the original hem isn't the same shape on the front and back of the shirt, so if you narrow the width at all it looks misaligned and silly and even if you try to angle exactly into the corner you still end up with the same issue just less. I'm talking about shirts that you're not going to tuck in.

    Zigzag stitch? Really? You've curled the edge too. The single row of straight lockstitch is the only thing holding that sholirt together. Why didn't you unstitch the hem and resew a flat felled seam?

    • @StylishDTailors
      @StylishDTailors  2 года назад

      Because a flat felled seam is difficult for beginners and I wanted to make this as easy as possible to do for people.
