oooh yes , im on my second Robin Hood now, love them
I've come back.!!! Let's hope this produces some fab footage !!!!
I’m excited to see where this project takes us
Very much looking forward to this project!
You and me both, although I’m a little apprehensive after seeing the condition of it in that salty air garage 😅
great project! looking forward to a full YB rebuild and a decent modern turbo being slapped on this thing!
Thank you. Looking forward to seeing where this project goes. Next video we shall see what the kit needs, then the engines condition etc
A lot of fun in a small package. Worth it for the smiles it's going to give you. Just having Cosworth in the titles of the coming videos will bring plenty more to the channel. Nice work Dom.
Nice to work on something different although a bit daunting, be interesting to see what work it needs, and if it is salvageable
Bloody awesome project!
Definitely content I’d be interested to follow.
Here’s hoping the bores aren’t totally rusted and pitted.
I do love the cosworth 2.0L turbo engines. They have mega power potential. I think here in Australia the cosworth Sierras in qualifying tune ran 850hp. I have a full spec T9 in my mk1 escort.
Really excited and also nervous to delve into it, next couple videos we will go over condition of the kit. Then next video see if the engine is salvageable 😅
They are a super iconic engine & can make some serious power with the right hardware hence why I hopped in the van and made the 11 hour round trip to go and collect it sharpish 😂
Very nice- what a fantastic project
Thanks mate, certainly the biggest project I’ve undertaken, this is gonna be harder than building one from scratch 😅
Spent my honeymoon there back in 89..I know it well!!! Good God, that will be fast. I thought for a second it was a Dutton Phaeton! Worth rebuilding that engine Dom
Unfortunately i didn't have much time to take a walk and grab some food ( as much as id liked to ) plus the weather was very typical of such a place haha
Nice new project Dom!!! Love a Cosworth 😍😍😍
Thanks buddy, gonna be an interesting one for sure
Brilliant 👌🏻
Thats going to be fast and loud n
Mate ❤
Needed something with a similar power to weight as yours ;)
Mate that's way faster than mine😂
@@paulknight7535 not atm it’s not 😂😂
Registered as Robin Hood 7.
Hi Dom, I have a 97 Robin Hood and a 225 TT. If you have any questions I’d be happy to help. Darren
That’s good to know 👌🏻
Looking at that car confirms why I went with an MK SX, but what fun running gear.
100% mate, specially after I’ve spent the last 2 years building our kit then looking how this goes together. Coupled with the fact it’s got a 200+ hp motor in 😅😅
That looks like a proper fun project!
Fun, yeah let’s call it that 😂. I reckon in depth and time consuming more 😂
@@TheParrottBros hahaha, not sure any of your projects have been anything less have they? 😆
@@benofthenorthuk 😂😂😂 Touchè
Barum Engines have a channel on RUclips and do a lot of the cosworth engines , give them a look Dom.
Thanks I’ll check them out 👌🏻
Looking trim mate
Why thank you sir, had a bad week but drawing a line and back on 100% tomorrow.
Belle vidéo 👌 😉
Thank you sir 🫶🏻
@@TheParrottBros 👍 😉
M8 the engine & gearbox is worth whatever you're paid for it 👏 now get a MK chassis to accept the cossie 😎💥💥
It’s been considered 😂
@@TheParrottBros m8 a indy classic RR chassis which will take a cossie, your looking at 2k, u will spend more than that on that Robin and end up with something that will not handle like a MK, got to be done m8 and until Rob sticks his snale on his build, u will kick his arse with that cossie in a MK 😎💥💥
Sell the cozie stuff and replace with mx5 running gear and change?
Not a 2B, it's S7 I think, 2B has a tubular chassis, I have one.
Thank you, the more I look into it the more information I find, I reckon it’s an S7 mark 2 based on front suspension
How much was the test guys?
For our mk Iva? It’s just under £500
shit a member from ZZ Top speaks English lol, only joking mate 👍👍
Haha your not the first person to mention that 😂
MONEY PIT!!!
Anything with tyres is 😅😅
@TheParrottBros lol fair point mate.
@@djjk4486 I’ve realised this recently even when you buy something that’s all done, it’s still not done 😂
@TheParrottBros I'd say the worse money pit with tyres is a pram 🤣
Where the feck did you find that....
Hence the road trip to north Wales 😂😂
@@TheParrottBros well yes, I know WHERE you got it from but its a bit left field..
Did the immortal words "I've got a bit of a deal for you" get uttered? :D
Something like that, you know how i get haha
sell the Cosworth engine and replace it with a VW 1.8 turbo or a VW VR6 engine.
While that’s crossed my mind if we can get it going and it’s salvageable it would be criminal to remove the cosworth engine
@@TheParrottBros the Cosworth engine is awesome, but it's worth a lot of money, the VW 1.8 T with match it on performance and they are incredibly cheap to buy and tune, the VR6 will annihilate a Cosworth engine on the way it sounds, plus you are a VAG man, less risk, cheaper to tune and a lot of money in your pocket.
