Cheers for the update, Flex! I hope you'll be able to get your hands on one of those Cosworth's! I have a fond memory of my father bringing a Cosworth home from work when they were released to the market, and he took me and a friend of mine out for a spin. My father worked for many years at an authorized Ford repair/sales store here in Sweden as the workshop manager, and always had access to all the latest models.
Great to see an update on this I remember being amazed at the time when these pics came up on passion Ford years ago
Been trying to get it done for a while, I got these pictures a while ago, but waited incase I got more information. But this seems like the last now.
I wouldn't part with my 2 Cosworths for ANYTHING!!! Iv had them a long time and I will say goodbye to the wife before I say goodbye to them...

Most rally cars are LHD
We’re really close to the European mainland here so in a way it’s weird that we are right hand drive. Obviously there’s far more LHD examples than RHD.
I bought a couple of Sierra and sapphire cosworths from Italy around 99’ and registered and used them in the U.K. never caused me any much of a problem being lhd you just get used to it. At that time these cars were so cheap in Europe and being from a warm part of Italy my ones had no rust . I remember I missed out on a one owner 3 door in moonstone done 25,000 km for £6k - how prices have changed over 20+ years !
@@rallycrosscraig absolutely! I had a used LHD Golf GTI back in the 70s (in the U.K.) before we had kids, kept it for a year and then sold it to a French couple for almost three times what I’d paid for it and they were over the moon with it!😎

They're light by these days standards, even a 300hp tune feels quick.
