It was great working with you on these videos! We were able to come up with some really cool stuff that I don't think either of us would been able to find separately and turned into a really neat challenge!
I actually died like 5 times to it because I didn't know where to go. If SA2 wasn't so easy and I hadn't so many lives, I might have game-overed. Kind of annoying lol.
It's actually quite useful in Crazy Gadget for a couple sections. Final Rush sometimes I use it against an Artificial Chaos there too. And if you mod the gam to give Shadow the ability, it can be somewhat useful in Sky Rail (against invincible enemies) or Final Chase (against Artificial Chaos) sometimes
The hero side according to the last video took 46 jumps, the dark story 25 jumps and last story took 5 jumps jumps in total 76 jumps are required to win.
Magic Hands, heck yeah! If you cheat Sonic into Eternal Engine, it's really useful in the zero-gravity sections where you just bounce up and down! Well, it's not really useful, but it IS fun to spam it since there's a lot of enemies! The throwing animation ends early due to the flailing taking priority, so you can just spam Magic Hands!
This was a really fun video to watch loved it although a few thing I wanted u guys to take note of. Sand oceans first gap can actually be ran across if u build up enough speed and go at the right moment. The second one is in lost colony u actually can get damage boosted onto onto the block and than use a pause jump hover to get onto the top platform in just 1 jump, u guys did a great job in weapons bed even better than I did. With shadows first boss there's some weird thing where u can do where if u spindash up to it and it's up against the wall and u r too u can get pushed up without being in ball form and still somehow damage it somehow, although I was only able to get this to work once and not replicate it again.
Very cool to see this completed. I'm sure green hill zone doesn't warrant its own video at all but I'm feeling somewhat inspired to check it out myself at some point.
15:19 Never tried it so can't really say, but can't you just light speed attack your way across them? 16:54 Couldn't you have used the superbounce glitch to save a jump here? Or does that glitch count as a jump?
Ayo DPad! I absolutely NEED you to find glitches in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I know this has nothing to do with this video, but come on man! Please, do it for the fans. Do it for me. >:)
In Cosmic Wall, do you gain height if you walk off the platforms and then activate your jet booster? And if so, do you gain enough to make it to the next platform?
Unfortunately you do not. I think the only reason that level lets you get so high while hovering is because it increases the distance of the hover's upwards moment. No upwards momentum (like after falling or getting hit) and you hover like normal.
@@DPadGamer So out of curiosity, I started my own run of Team Sonic’s story and I’ve made some observations: -Fly characters’ thunder shoot move will elevate them a bit, allowing you to enter flight without jumping. This trivializes most of the jumps. -It’s optimal to have speed characters at Level 3 as soon as possible so you can simply rocket accel into spin poles to use them without jumping. This means that you REALLY can’t die without having to start the whole level from scratch. -The first time I found that a jump was required was in Power Plant, where you need to jump from a pillar to a doorway high off the ground. The distance is too short to fly to without jumping for maximum distance. This is all I’ve gotten through so far, I’ll update this once I finish the Team Sonic run
Sand Ocean only needs 1 jump. You can in fact damage boost on those boxes in Lost Colony, it's just precise. Speaking of Lost Colony, do you have the raw footage from the damage boost you got onto the goal ring? Based on my knowledge about the A button challenge, that damage boost is 100% impossible to achieve because the robot will always be looking towards the door when it releases the homing shots, and based on your footage you ran back towards it to activate the robot and then back to the goal ring, implying that the robot had not been activated before which is impossible, so that damage boost was achieved through reloading a save state is my theory, thus it's not a valid save. Weapons Bed is possible in 3 jumps. Cosmic Wall is possible in 11 jumps. CC Tails is 1 (the weight does indeed clip you up, you gotta be against the wall) CC Knuckles is 0 Very nice work with the solution for the beginning of Sonic's section. It's not good for the ABC but for jumps it's nice. The artificial chaos enemy can be destroyed by just using magic hands on it lol, but the omochao slingshot is much cooler indeed. Sonic is 0, just stop time forever and use light attack to go up the ledge you used a jump.
I do still have the raw footage of Lost Colony so I will double check it real quick but it is very possible I made mistake because I was using save states in that level. Edit: Yup looks like you're spot on. Didn't expect loading a save to make such a difference there with the enemy.
You can do sand ocean with just one jump by hovering onto a small barrier and then very quickly hovering onto the spinning platform and use a single jump to get off of it.
It really soes suck that Shadow had to jump for his first boss and then both Knuckles and Sonics no jumps Records had to get a point each making Rouge the only fully jumpers character in the game.
Can you kill the first mech boss with Shadow by throwing Omachao? You'd have to suicide, to make him appear. Not sure you could throw him high enough without jumping.
@@DPadGamer Actually now i'm curious if it's possible to kill bosses with Omachao? and if so, which if or if all, probably not Final Hazard though, as it's in space with no toy chao to speak of.
Just wanted to finish up on that "Horror fox" as you call it Just letting you know That's not a fox but a guy in a suit that writes messed up manga/anime that is not welcome on youtube Sorry making it so akward last time Great video like always, always look forward to your video's
It is really fun that characters that can canonically fly (Eggman in his Eggmobile and Tails) have the most jumps needed in their levels
It's also crazy that Rouge's levels are jumpless!

@@blakeskit sonic 06? I would watch that

I always use the Magic Hand to kill that artificial Chaos in Cannon's Core. It's the ONLY time that upgrade is actually useful.
That's how I did it the first time I played that level. Only later learned that jumping to hit him is possible.
Honestly it's fairly handy for those things, cause it's safer and you can even out range them.
I actually died like 5 times to it because I didn't know where to go. If SA2 wasn't so easy and I hadn't so many lives, I might have game-overed. Kind of annoying lol.

2:25 My man predicted Hayden Christensen as Shadow 🔥🔥

The fact that I got to this video through a notification as I was watching the Hero Story video.
I guess you could say I “Jumped” videos- wait.
How dare you :)
You monsters
You could have obtained the Magic Hands and easily used them to destroy that Artificial Chaos.
That's what I was going to say
I find the Magic Hands to be of some use in Crazy Gadget. And Final Chase if you use the code to give Shadow Magic Hands
Magic Hands, heck yeah! If you cheat Sonic into Eternal Engine, it's really useful in the zero-gravity sections where you just bounce up and down!

Take a shot every time DPad plays Heroes music instead of actual Adventure 2 tunes
Edit: THE CHAO ARE DROWNING AGAIN
For Rogue's Cannon Core section, if you mash 'A' at the very start, you can initiate a glide, saving a few jumps.
Wait it can have _less_ than 0 jumps?
Very cool to see this completed.
I'm sure green hill zone doesn't warrant its own video at all but I'm feeling somewhat inspired to check it out myself at some point.
A few seconds in and I love that intro of shadow
Live and learn, hanging on the edge of tomorrow, live and learn, barely any jumps today-ay-ey-ey!
While Rouge is the pride of the profession, Tails is the most disappointing one.
Speeding up the sandwalk was hilarious. Thanks for that laugh :)
LESS GOOO
waited for this since the first part
cant wait to see this part
15:20 Why not use ancient light? You might die a few times cause it spits you around weird, but it would have been easier.
Neat analysis & run video! Thanks for uploading!

Legitimately just went on an hour-long search to find the song at 8:50. Anyone know it?
I forget the exact name but it's the spooky level theme from Sonic Heroes
Taking out Shadow's jump from the beginning, the rest is Eggman's
How many jumps does cosmic wall take normally.
Wait, how can you save state on pc version of this game?!
I just noticed that the security hall music reproduces with the super Boost ability in Team Sonic Racing
At the part with sonic and the artificial chaos you should of used magic hands

Wait a minute are there jiggle effects for for Rouge?, because when she picked up that ability I saw something.
Yea she has boob physics. Its what made tails get a mech stage instead of on his own feet. Too much data shoved into them
So is sonic heroes or shadow the hedgehog next?
