  • RECIPE BELOW: This is a delicious vegetarian dish with oyster sauce braised fresh shitake mushrooms and broccoli. It's both savory and tasty!
    Serves 4
    Ingredients:
    • 1 lg broccoli crown, cut into florets
    • 12 fresh shitake mushrooms, cut in half diagonally
    • 5 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 Tsp seasoning salt -Watch video-S1Ep76- • S1Ep76-YuCanCook Seaso...
    • Cornstarch slurry (2 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with 4 Tbsp water ) more if needed
    • 1 C chicken broth
    • 2 Tsp sesame oil
    • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
    • 2 Tsp Shaoxing wine
    • Pinch sugar
    • Oil for cooking
    Broccoli seasonings:
    • 1 Tsp seasoning salt (5:3:2 ratio of salt:sugar:msg*optional)
    • 1 Tsp sesame oil
    • 1 Tsp Shaoxing wine
    Mushroom seasonings:
    • 1 Tsp soy sauce
    • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
    • 1 Tsp seasoning salt (5:3:2 ratio of salt:sugar:msg*optional)
    • 1 Tsp Shaoxing wine
    • Pinch of sugar

    Fresh shitake is not everyime available. Can we use dried shitake instead?

    Shitake is japanese term

    Why don’t you use the stalks? Do they taste terrible are they harmful?

      nubia, the short stalks from the broccoli crowns were cut off for presentation purposes, they're actually very sweet and tasty. i saved and used them to make soup stock. thanks for watching!
