There's a reason far more men than women go the "use public bathrooms" route. When it's the middle of the night, they just go outside. That's a lot more difficult for women.
When I had my minivan I always had a bucket with a tight fitting lid, and a trash compactor bag with kitty litter inside for emergency use in the middle of the night (or in the middle of town).
I think it’s brilliant only thing I would do is install hidden cameras all around the van so I could monitor outside activity which you can’t see at the moment.

This design and layout is absolutely perfect for him! Genius idea to have the louvered window cover outside. It's built like a tank and should last forever. Great job!

Lol we have the same iron ladder to the bed! And we used to have a hanging rack for our clothes... but we had to make room for a crate for our pup 🐶 Good to see you enjoy your home so much! 😄

That is a sweet rig, I live in a 20ft container tiny home, which when loaded up weighs a ton, not practical for on the move living, this rig how ever is a gem, you can live pretty much anywhere very nice!
The original tour is how I found this channel, though I only saw it a few months ago. And now this pops up lol I can't wait to see the third owner do an updated tour in three more years! lol
Seen hundreds of layouts, but this is definitely at top 3. Greatest kitchen i have seen. One tip for the next kitchen though is that you could build something under the kitchen as drawer there you could put the stove and pans, but other then that. Excellent design.
Very cool van. I wouldn't like only having one window and would probably install one over the kitchen counter. You could have a door on the outside that lifts up like the other window. Other than that I loved it. So creative!
This is an excellent idea. Saves money on the cost of rent. I'm guessing that your power inside is coming from solar, but the video didn't really show that. Very minimalist life, but comfortable. Small space would save time on cleaning as well.very nice.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.
Amazing! Love the bathroom inside! Indeed, you wouldn't expect someone to live in there. Personally I need to be able to look through a large window, but if you don't need that: this is IT.
One of the things I consistently think about is having as much DC power as possible throughout the house, for the sake of not losing power during conversion. But this is super clean!
I enjoyed this tour a lot. The thought of being in your own space, choosing where you want to go and who you want to be around is the best feeling in the world. You don't allow negativity to take space, in your mind. The size is amazing however, I would use the desk area for a proper staircase. Also, having a skylight, over the bed, would have been amazing because it felt claustrophobic. Lastly, the studio area could have been an added bonus living space for eating. Outside of that, this young man, has it made. I loved that his life included his dog.❤
But why don't you speak up about his tattoos? Why am I always the ONLY one to speak up about these things? I saw all those tattoos at the beginning of the video and it makes me not even want to watch the rest of it. And what's so infuriating is that nobody else here says anything. Are you all that used to tattoos these days that you don't even notice?? How sad is that??
I saw the original video 2 or 3 years ago. And here it is again, but with a different owner. Will we see it again for a third owner? It remains to be seen.
That A/C sounds interesting. I just looked it up. It's a Dura and it does indeed have no condensation port on it. It is only rated for 150 - 300 Sq ft but for the 125 sq ft here it really seems like the perfect solution. It's really cheap, too. I wonder how it works.
Once I have the funds, this is exactly the kind of thing I want. I too remember seeing the original video from the first owner, especially the climbing rocks to the bed. To me, this is the optimum solution, something that looks completely stealth from the outside to minimize the hassle of finding places to park. I want the biggest thing I can get that doesn't require a CDL.
I think Box Trucks are the best conversions. Besides the stealth, you also automatically get the height and width that is more than adequate. An electronic bed lift is usually a must have on my list, but with a bed over the cab in a box truck, it's not necessary. I would love to see a box truck conversion with a layout modeled after The Concrete Oasis.

There are a lot of videos on why people give up van life. Toilet issues are a big one. The best solution I've seen was a guy who bought a tiny RV who rents a parking space from someone in Brooklyn. It seems to me that there is no escape from the costs of modern living.
Love your build. I have a similar build, but it’s 14ft. Your layout is different than mine. I really wanted the attic too, but I’ve only found the 4ft Rockford box on a Ford chassis. I prefer Chevy to Ford. I’m planning on buying a new truck next year. New year, new build. Thanks for sharing!

If you don't mind my asking, what's that air conditioner? I haven't yet found any which neither require water to be dumped nor require a vent to the exterior (or a spot to sit in the window). The mini-splits are the closest I've ever found, and they need to be attached to a piece on the outside. I would love to know of a type of a/c that just sits in the house, plugs in, and you don't need to worry about anything else!
Well I do have to put the exhaust out the back into the storage area but yes it doesn’t need to drained which is super nice. It’s by Dura Comfort. I don’t have the model number but when I pull it out I’ll check it and let you know

I wish that the people that do these videos would explain some of the more practical issues of van living. He has to have insurance to drive this and insurance requires a physical address and so does a driver license. Does he have a bank account/credit cards, they also require physical addresses. Does he pay taxes?

Yeah, outside camera feeding a big thin screen on the blank wall would be a huge one-way window to your surroundings.
You can see one of the camera's in the cab by the drivers side seat belt.
I can't imagine trying to relax and having every inch outside monitored. Hear someone walk by and have to check it out.
