  • Real rider review on the fantastic aStars GP Plus Ridenit now in new colourways for 2023. Could this be the answer for the ATGATT (all the gear, all the time) riders who want a full leather suit?

    These are solid reviews! I was going to get the Rev'it! Hyperseed 2 Air but now I am ordering this Alpinestars thanks to your reviews.

    Great reviews, any comparison to the RevIt Hyperspeed 2? I tried this jacket on and found it very comfortable, but I’m also considering the RevIt and possibly the Alpinestars Fusion.

    • @yodomcat
      @yodomcat  Год назад

      Hyperspeed in my opinion looks better and has the AAA rating. That said plenty of AA aStars jackets crashing track and doing just fine.
      The aStars is more comfortable and better at higher temps; BUT if you’re in the UK you might not need that and so you’ll get more flexibility out of the hyperspeed2.
      Both jackets are excellent choices for summer.

      @@yodomcat thanks I guess I need to try both on, the V3 ride knit felt very comfortable in the shop, however bit disappointing to only get level 1 armour at this price point (I understand you can swap to the level 2). I am a fair weather rider, and my body 'runs hot' so I really struggle in the heat, so I'm looking to get out of my Alpinestars Atem jacket, as bulletproof as it feels! Basically I'm looking for a unicorn of good protection and airflow, what draws me to the rev it is the level 2 armour and the thermal liner so I can use early and late season. Be great if you could test ride these things. have you tried the Fusion jacket yet?

      @@nickwhite9319 I would punt more aStars way in that case as the armour definitely flows better 👍🏻

    Just bought one in the fluo orange, seems to fit well, hopefully as im funny with fit ,but so far so good and will stretch i guess. Stuck in the nucleon back that i have in another A Stars. Good review though, can u do one on the missile pants as they are my next purchase. Also looking at the air 5 vest.

    • @yodomcat
      @yodomcat  Год назад +1

      I have the missile V3 trousers. They’re very good and after 20 rides which when they broke in. The venting is good, but not as amazing as you would think for the size of the vents. But I’m very happy regardless.

    I live in Turkey and it gets up to 35-40 degrees Celsius which feels like 45-50 degrees Celsius during some part of summer. Which jacket and trousers would you suggest for this weather conditions?

    • @yodomcat
      @yodomcat  7 месяцев назад

      At that temperature Knox urbane pro all day long! That is if you don’t mind sacrificing a little bit of protection (as nothing beats a leather race suit). Comfort I think should always trump CE rating. There is a review of the Knox on my channel 👍🏻

    This jacket is compatible with their airbag system. Curious if you have the airbag system as well and how it fits? Cause only reason i want a jacket like this is for the airbag feature that I can install

    The sizes offered are very limited. I have a 32" waist and they offer a 31 and 33. The jacket with the 33" waist is too loose and fits someone who is 6' tall and I am 5'9" so it's way too long too. I can't even zip up the one with the 31" waist. Alpinestar makes nothing that even comes to fitting me. Peruse the size chart very carefully.

    • @yodomcat
      @yodomcat  28 дней назад

      Can’t say I’ve ever looked at waist measurements when getting a jacket; normally chest. I’m 5,10” and had a size 52 which would usually be a large; they have quite a bit smaller and larger in the range (and other ranges) and you can tighten the waist with the Velcro straps to the side 👍🏻
