Should the programs be versions of the same year? There was a problem while opening in revit (revit2018 and navisworks2019)

Do you know a method to make a hole in the coordination model?
I am studying Civil Engineer and for a project a need to make a underground station.
I think my Revit model would be nicer if you can see the project from upstairs.
