Good video. If the MAP is oily, then most likely the throttle body is also oily. May also want to check the PCV valve and/or the EGR valve is working properly.

due to excess oil from the engine. its normal for the Direct injection engines.
Okay, so I have pretty much done everything you've done in your videos to my car. Are there any other sensors I can clean? Any other maintenance things I can do to my Mazda? I really like working on my car, but I can't think of anything else to do... Appreciate the videos btw, hope you put more out!
Other than the ones ive perform. Theres one more sensor. O2 sensor. But its very sensitive . i recommend not to clean it until it wear out by itself. Ive got one more thing to do which to replace serpentine belt and pump belt i just havent got time to do it for us as right now . I am pretty flat out with other jobs. But i promise i will do it once i can get some free time. :) thank you for your time tunin in and all the support are very much appreciated.

@@FelixDanGarasiAuto saw a lot of videos about cleaning the O2 sensor, but using the contact cleaner spray, which specifically made for electronic stuff, what did u think about it?
@@shhhdontshout O2 sensors are very sensitive sensors. I wouldnt clean it , if there are no issue with it. If yours are bad id suggest just replacing the brand new O2 sensor. Saves you time taking it off and putting it back again. :)

Thanks for the video. We have a 2015 CX3 1.5D which is showing a code of P026A - charge air cooler efficiency below threshold. From what I can gather this is due to high difference between the charge air cooler temperature and ambient temperature. Do you know if our MAP sensor would also incorporate a temperature sensor? Is there a way of telling (perhaps a four pin connector rather than three)? Ambient temp readings seem fine. There doesn't seem to be a separate charge air cooler temp sensor. I've already replaced the Intake Air Temperature sensor - no change. Cheers.
im not quiet sure bcause we dont get diesel engines here, but if its from charge air cooler side maybe check the intercooler piping / intake piping if theres any dirty sensors or leaks founds within that area.
Hi sir I have cx5 2016 rpm some times on 600 and some time on 700 on n which number should be can u tell me the reasons plz by the why they change throttle body for me stell
it should be steady at around 700rpm while idle. Check your intake inlet piping if there's anything that is not tighten properly.
I'm wondering if the PCV actually does anything on skyactiv engine considering the condition of your throttle body and intake valve as your previous videos shows. Do you think it'll be worthwhile to install a catch can? I'm still unsure whether an oil catch can actually works, but if you think it does and you are consider to install it, I'll be looking forward to the vid. Great vid as always btw!
Thank you FIlbert. I have seen some people have installed the catch can on these skyactiv engines and seen some good results as it catches all the unwanted blow by oil within the intake manifold . Again having catch can does not mean you wont get carbon build up though just to slows down the process of that carbon build up issues. But yeah for sure i will keep you posted on this , i might consider doing the mod to this CX 5 . Stay tune.

My MAP sensor was also very oily at only 15k miles odo reading. Is that bad?
Also, after cleaning all of it, I got a check engine amber light on my dash. I followed everything as instructed on your videos, so I’m wondering what might have caused this? I did drove my car after for about an hour but the check engine light is still there. Any thoughts on this?
Did you disconnect the battery before cleaning ?. Please check all the electrical connection. Make sure they are fully seated (clicked) all the way in. And disconnect negative terminal and reconnect the battery again for 5 mins to reset the ecu. but if the problem still persist you will have to get the car scanned via OBD port to see the exact error code .
Felix Dan But if I reset the ECU I wouldn’t know what the code is and the reason for the warning light? Is it okay to reset straight away without diagnosing what’s causing the engine light?
@@aaronjamesguevarra just wondering if you did disconnect the battery before proceed the service ?.if you follow my steps all correctly it is completely fine to reset the ecu after the service.
Felix Dan It’s okay now, I think it was just the ECU trying to relearn. After 5 restarts, the light was gone.

@@aaronjamesguevarraPerfecto !! Hopefully the car runs smoother now and gain some milage out of it. Dont miss and forget to change your motor oil regularly at every service intervals. This skyactiv engines require extra care.

Noob question: What gets reset in the car every time I remove the battery terminal? Do I need to reprogram everything, like my infotainment settings, etc?
Also, is it required to only use CRC electronic cleaner when cleaning MAP sensor? Can I use CRC Mass Airflow Sensor Cleaner instead?

Gday Sir. Awsome ride you have there !. After disconnecting the battery you will have re initiate auto power window , radio settings , time , memory seat setting. You could use MAF sensor CRC cleaner for this service is no problems.
That's a lot. My guess is that it might reset EVERYTHING back to factory settings, right? Then I have to input all my personal settings all over again. Quite troublesome, but more beneficial than having to replace a broken ECU from short circuit.

Hallo Mr, one question. I have CX 5, 2.2 diesel AWD, 2017. When I drive a little aggressively, a triangle pops up on my dashboard : ⚠️ Vehicle system malfunction. Only when i press the gass pedal or when i use kick down.After 5 seconds a warning appears. Do you know maybe what could that possibly be? Thank you very much.
need to scan with obd scanner for this type of error msg. So we dont waste time guessing. Maybe get bluetooth obd scanner for your car. You can get iCar VGate brand or similar obd scanner online they cost about $40 to $50.
Vehicle System Malfunction will probably be the vacuum pump, it'll give the code 258b when scanning

Hello, a couple of days ago on my Mazda cx5 2.2 150hp appeared a check engine light with the codes P2262(boost pressure not detected) and P0471(exhaust pressure sensor).
The car didn.t have power at all. After investigation the mechanic concluded that there is a problem with the MAP sensor and when we extracted it, it was full with black smoke(sunk). We tried to clean it and the error is gone, but there is now a very strange noise coming from the engine and the fuel consumption has doubled. Tommorow we will change this sensor, could there be something else to cause these problems? Thanks!
I am not sure what causes it by giving a strange noise. It could be something loose probably get the mechanic to double check his work. And using mazda OBD scanner to detect any errors made by vehicle ecu .

Hi. I have problem with my m2. after i release gas paddle suddenly rpm will drop and engine will jerk. I have done my throttle body cleaning but after a month the problem comes again. Is it relate with the sensors?
Maybe clean MAF sensor & check spark plugs and the throttle body connection.
I have a 2013 CX -5 with 115,000 miles (~185,000 km) and I'm getting the P0171 code. I replaced my MAF sensor. That worked for a little bit but when I turn on my AC I start having the tachometer rise. The other day during idle it went to sound 3,000 rpm. Any idea what I can look at?
Possible vacuum leak (Air intake tube) / MAF Sensor or sensor connection unplugged / O2 sensor error/ fuel pump unit / Injector unit.
@@FelixDanGarasiAuto I found my problem... Last time I replaced the air filter, I missed one of the tabs to secure the air box into. This caused the surging issue and P0171 code.

@@benfloyd1461 There's 3 on the backside. One to the left, one to the left in the middle and one on the right. The middle one is the one that gets missed because the wiring for the Mass Airflow sensor hides it.
I have a Mazda 6 2014 and I have te code P0171 and I don’t know what I have to do ,I already cleaned the air mass flow sensor but the code come out 30 min later
check air box filter make sure its close sealed properly, check intake hose make sure its tighted properly.
Any idea with the code P0401

Can I spray intake cleaner through the throttlebody or air intake without removing the map sensor?

@@FelixDanGarasiAuto It’s not my car, I have a sonata and I don’t have to remove the map sensor. Why on this particular Mazda will it not clean the valves as well if I don’t take the map sensor out?

@@FelixDanGarasiAuto i’m not trying to sound rude for someone who’s giving me advice but why would a little plastic sensor that doesn’t impede the flow of air, moisture etc. have an effect on how the solvent works? That sensor is only a measurement device. In fact I know it won’t have an effect on how good it cleans the valves whether it’s in or out I just wanted to know if the CRC would damage the sensor like it would a mass airflow sensor. @@6atlantis crc cleaner wouldnt hurt the sensors but if you want to be safe theres a special cleaner for the sensors also maf sensor cleaner. otherwise use any generic cleaner you like should be okay.
Damn....why can't I find any info on the MAP sensor for the Mazda CX7? Does anyone know if it's in the same location?
yes should be at the intake manifold if i recall the cx 7 map sensor located opposite side of the throttle body.
Cleaned mine today and the following day it has the same amount of oil on it,is that normal?
yeap it is normal. just have to get them clean every time you change oil will get the sensor to last.

mobil sy kmrin secara tdk sengaja sensor itu terendam air (saat lepas intake utk di bersihkan) saat dipasang kembali lampu cek enggine menyala dan mesin tdk bisa hidup. harus ganti sensor baru atau bisa dgn dibersihkan saja menggunakan contact cleaner?
hmm coba bersihkan dengan contact cleaner dulu & lepaskan battery selama 10 menit untuk reset ecu.

Halo, saya punya cx 5 2014 2500. Yg mas felix punya 2000/2509 ya? Saya mau tanya untuk konsumsi bahan bakarnya diberapa untuk dalam kota? Dan apakah kompresor AC bermasalah bisa bikin boros? Semenjak ada suara di kompresor Ac terasa drive range cepat sekali berkurangnya. Bensin selalu 92/95 BP. Dan apakah ada saran lainnya untuk bisa bikin lebih irit? Terima kasih banyak waktunya 🙏🏽
halo . punya sy 2000cc. Konsumsi bbm nya di 1:12 punya saya full to empty ini city driving. kalo AC kompresor biasa si gk ad ngaruh bbm. Untuk Oli mesin masih pakai 0w20 ? Untuk hemat bbm biasa nya si harus tune up yah. Seperti bersihkan Throttle body , Busi , seluruh intake sensors , o2 sensors nya , yang terakhir carbon clean untuk intake valves nya. Itu aja si tips nya.

The manifold absolute pressure sensor provides instantaneous manifold pressure information to the engine (ECU).
What to do if I don't have CRC Electronic cleaner?
get brake cleaner will do the job.

What are symptoms that made you do this service?
just bad fuel milage. thats all. Plus u can see the oil sludge covering the sensor for quiet sometime.
@@FelixDanGarasiAuto aaa okay thank you. Do you have an advice for me, i have a Mazda 2 2021 and my bottom heater hose is cold after driving, and car takes for ever to get warm. Mazda shop said i need a new electronic heater vavle, price 2000.- euro

Mazda cx9 saya setelah dibersihkan catalyc converter nya luar biasa perbedaannya, kecepatan 120km/jam cukup di RPM 2800 kurang dari 3000 RPM

mungkin butuh scan ecu dulu dhe supaya lebih akurat. soalnya gk bs di tebak tebak. banyak aliran listrik soalnya mazda skyactiv.
tp smntara bisa cek koneksi kabel busi, Busi , MAF sensor , filter udara kotor dan battere.
Ini yang non skyactive bang,,tadi sih saya ama orang bengkel mazdanya coba kanibal dulu sama orang lain yang MAF,sama idle up lancar,,cuma mati sekali..terus di starter bisa lagi,,cuman masih penasannya yang mati sekali itu bang
@@ervantw oh itu bisa jadi karna ecu baca pertama kali belum stabil . seharusnya bisa cek kembali koneksi api dan badan battere dan kabel maf nya uda ketat atau belum.
