I believe the warped and distorted faces of twigs describe a way in which she feels after she's gone through the process of being in love with another, and then having her heart completely broken. The skewed faces represent twigs as an individual feeling mixtures of self-hate, ugliness, loneliness, and all other symptoms of loving another who simply does not love you back.
"Pendulum"speak high volumes to me. I listen to it so many times because I know how to feels to love somebody who doesn't love you much as you do. How it feel that you would give or do everything to be with that person. Its hurts a lot and is so time consuming, but in the end its not worth it. You have no choice but to move on. The heart felt and pain in her vocals in this song is so compelling because she means it from the heart. The pictures are really perfect examples of her emotions and what others may have felt too. I abosoloutly love this. I am still trying to figure out the deeper meaning but this is what i think. The definition of Pendulum is "A pendulum is a weight suspended from a pivot so that it can swing freely." And i think that the song is about how she was in a relationship with a abusive partner (hint the pictures) and then she overcomes him and breaks up with him, by the end she goes back to normal (the pictures suggest) where she becomes well again (where the title pendulum came from) and now she can "swing freely"

The production on this is awesome, this is a great Pop song. So far I like everything she's made, its very layered and dynamic, a lot of her songs has all these little sounds going off everywhere that makes it almost like glitch, and they all have their own things going on as well.
