This Dreamer's Procession is wonderful on it's own But finally being able to hear it in context at the end of Ardenweald is probably my favorite moment so far in Shadowlands
Yeah that whole precession into the revival was fucking magic. It's rare that things in wow have much meaning to me these days. This, the Runas questline in legion.... My God.
I have been playing a night elf druid since 2008 and, as a fan of the whole Druidic lore, Ysera's death really hit me during Legion. The whole Ardenweald questline had me in tears and shivers, but the moment we found out the seed was Ysera's, getting to play her as she lost herself to the Nightmare.. It was like putting salt on an open wound. When she was "dying" again, it was like reliving that moment from Legion that had my heart hurting so bad. And honestly when I saw the cinematic where she was saved by the Winter Queen, I couldn't stop crying, tears of joy! And the music, ohh ♪ The mix of Ardenweald music and Nightsong is so full of hope! I love it so much
I'm the type of guy that just grinds through the quests on autopilot basically, but man when this piece started playing, along with beauty of Ardenweald and the fairies walking beside, just felt something different. Brought me back completely and just had to take in the magical moment. It was really beautiful.
All the sylvars and faeries appearing from the forest and joining the procession when this soundtrack played just gave me chills. It felt like part of a cinematic without being one.
It gave me chills as well. I had to stay behind and observe the entire march. With this music on I rly needed to process what was happening. Beautiful.
Words can barely describe the beauty and power of the Night Fae and their eternal forest of Ardenweald. I was literally speechless when I did the final part of Ardenweald's story arc. Not to mention that I teared up from the sheer beauty of that moment, which Is extremely rare for me. Well done Blizzard you have officially created a masterpiece that will last through the ages.

My experience in the quest chain for Ardenweald was pure joy. The funny thing is I got a little muddle at the start of the quest chain when you were sent to meet with Dreamweaver which I mistook as another name for Ysera and thought OMG Ysera is back!! only to be disappointed that it was a nightfae. The only thing is I had no idea I was entering a quest chain to bring back Ysera's spirit. I'm a grown middle-aged man, with strong control over my emotions. I'm an Undertaker as a job and very used to keeping in my emotions but I lost it during the dreamer's procession and could feel my eyes tearing up.
This made me bawl so much. This is what ensnared me to become a Druid of the Emerald Dream in 2006 with the original score. This blew everything up in a stir of emotions ive not felt in years.
May you explain me where this is located in the entire OST? You uploaded a video over a month ago that contained nearly 12 hours of music from shadowlands yet I may still not have located these pieces in such video. I've also noticed that in the previous videos such as Revendreath complete for example, I was finding plenty of pieces that were not included in the complete 12 hours video. What order do you follow when publishing? How is this happening exactly ( beta soundtrack complete and then all the additions are of the release complete one for example)? I merely ask this question as it is something I've been wondering for a while, also with previous expansions' music uploads. Most grateful to you for your outstanding work uploading all of this. As a Tauren, I was always envious of the strenght the alliance had, and I always cried when anything happened to Druids, Nature or Elves. The music and cinematics still shake me to this day. May the eternal sun shine upon you, and may you find salvation in vengeance, if needed.
Nightsong is one of the best pieces of music to come from WoW, and seeing it so perfectly tangled within Ardenweald and Ysera’s rebirth was absolutely amazing.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Had tears going when we first had to do *the thing* (for the sake of spoilers) in Legion, and I definitely felt it here in Ardenweald, too. Not to mention that the zone itself embodies everything that I love, aesthetically.
I couldn't play much over the last few years due to uni and also terrible wifi, so I missed everything between the end of Warlords and last november when I rejoined. As a result, I more or less binged Legion content for three weeks straight - just in time for Shadowlands to come out! (I skipped most of BfA and the rest of Warlords, it was confusing and weird.) So when I hit Ardenweald... Ysera's death was still Really Fresh. It's a good thing I chose a class that worked well with night fae, I needed more of the story! 💚💙
Well, I can disagree because I have been a priest/shaman main since WotLK and it is still making me wanna cry, especially after Legion where we had to put our beloved Ysera to the sleep which WE get her out of. It's just beautiful and priceless.
The downvotes didn't like Ardenweald as a location. :l This legit made me cry my first run-through. I had to repeat it on other toons because its just so beautiful! Thank you for pulling this!
I loved this redux of Nightsong, though. It hearkens back to the original as to emotionally pull at the heart, while also introducing new themes and becoming it's own beautiful piece. It's interesting that in no part of The Dreamer or Procession do the singer(s) actually say the name of Elune. It either fades away as it's about to be said, fades in just after it would have been said, or is completely skipped over. It really makes me think that Elune, while having a connection to Ardenweald, and possibly the Winter Queen herself, may not be well regarded there as to have the utterance of Her very name suppressed like this.
Or, that she has no power in the Shadowlands, or at least in Ardenweald, and Blizzard's devs are hinting at that. The mysteries about Elune have been piling up since Ysera's death and the burning of Teldrassil, and are approaching critical mass. I'm deathly curious to see what we find out about her in Shadowlands.
WoW is filled with incredible music. However, few songs hit you as hard as The Nightsong and this more-ore-less encore of it. I still have it playing on my Garrison Jukebox. The only songs that hit me as hard as The Nightsong are the cinematic music from WoTLK "Arthas, My Son" and the post-Wrathgate Music when Alekstraza burns everything with the flames of the life binder.
This music is beautiful and all, but it's not her rebirth music, it's the procession music. I'm sorry it's just really frustrating cuz there are now several videos with similar titles but they're all the same thing. Her ACTUAL rebirth music is really awesome/epic but I can't find it anywhere.
That’s so wrong way to play the game. You can pick your favourite covenant with whatever class you want. Why you make things complicated? I’m sure you are not hardcore mythic raider and those 0.1-0.2% margins in dps shouldn’t bother you at all

Exactly the same thing has been said by Blizzard several times - choose whatever covenant you want, there is no bis, there abilities that good or bad for certain content, in general it shouldnt affect your gameplay dramatically and bother you. You should choose your covenant based on your personal tastes, feelings and preferences. You dont have to force yourself picking least favourite covenant because someone in guide told you to do so.
Druid's Night Fae covenant ability is slightly too OP but I doubt most players have a problem with that. Choosing any other covenant as Druid would just feel wrong.
Nightsong is the song in the cinematic Ysera died in in Legion, this is a different arrangement of Nightsong for when she comes back. Seems fitting to me!
I am a huge fan of Nightsong and Neal Acree as a composer - but I find Nightsong to be overused in the game. They use it whenever something nelf related comes up. That is just lazy. As a nelf fan, I want something new and fresh, not the same old same old over and over. I used to look forward to every new xpacs fresh music - not anymore. Too much of it is just recycled old stuff. A pity.

This is why choosing Night Elf Druid is the best choice I’ve ever made. Night elven music is just on a whole different level.

Can you point me to where it's used lazily? I have access to all of the string locations for Nightsong related vignettes and I don't see it overused.
It got used when Ysera died and in the Darkshore warfront trailer. "Overused".
