Man, this is so challenging. I did like this a few times in Asia where I live. Many non-photography lovers don't understand how happy we were when we do streets photography especially me as only a hobbyist, it means a lot. You took many good photos. Thanks for the video. 👍

And I love the focus also while the background is blurred in the DSLR, on a smartphone it's fake blur lol, some people might not know about this. I remember the sales person who was telling me to buy a smartphone as they are presumably better. Glad I didn't listen, the best decision I made in buying the D3400.

great pics. i am thinking that 200mm or 300mm would be better if possible. those are the focal lengths i use for this type of street photography so that i can get people from the front, instead of the back, plus i can blur out the background and still retain the context. thanks. 85mm might be better suited for train station or crowd , where you can go straight on the front of person a bit easier, plus closer.

I really enjoy your vlog. One question what you think about shooting through the screen only. New Z30 has no evf. So will it be good for street photography?
I personally shoot 90% through my screen with my Zfc. I mostly use the viewfinder to check exposure in harsh sunlight. I'd be fine with a camera without a viewfinder especially for street photography

hello frm malaysia brother, have u ever tried shooting in Jpeg n transferring to snapbridge app via bluetooth, eventhough its crop body sensor, but its weird it shows 35mm for example, if i tried 3rd party lens it shows the exact mm im shooting at wt crop sensor
I have noticed this on my D5300. It multiplies by 1.5 and shows the focal length on my phone. But same image shows the correct focal length on my Desktop. So I guess it's the phone which is doing the multiplication
It's amazing for outdoors. For indoors it depends on the situation. The room needs to be big and as I can't tell you if you need a flash or not. This always depends on your lighting conditions no matter what lens you use 🙏
Make a video of how you have edited these photos on lightroom. Do you keep putting the clarity parameter on the negative side like you did in night photography?
I prefer the look on the 85mm personally. You can always buy it in used condition and if you don't like it you can sell it on the exact price you got it. That way you don't lose money on lenses

@@Matthew-v6z Man dont even worry about lenses. I use the Nikon zfc nowdays , i have 10+ lenses but i use the 16-50mm kit lens for 90% of my street and travel photography. Its all about composition and lighting.
This lens is bit of weak when shooting up straight to sun, big chromatic aberration , specially on 1.8. This photo what You made under the shade, are much cleaner then this on open scenario.

@@planetjupiter1628 you cannot zoom with prime lenses. They only have one Focal length. But the 85mm becomes a 127mm on the d3400 because its a crop camera
@@planetjupiter1628 it's a great all around zoom lens. Perfect for traveling but it's not as sharp as prime lenses and it's a little bit weak for night photography.

Nothing beats the quality of a DSLR camera, I have a Nikon D3400 too, and it takes far superior photos than my 60MP smartphone camera.

Hey mate try out Af-s and move your focus point in the middle of the viewfinder or the screen. Hope it helps you!

That's a good idea! The clarity in these pictures is around -10 to +5. Im not playing with clarity a lot during daylight 🙏

For nikon crop dslrs i would suggest the sigma 17-50mm 2.5 , nikon 35mm 1.8 DX and the Nikon 85mm 1.8 for portraits
