    Should you buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or wait for a 2025?
    The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is a reliable and capable off-road vehicle with a strong reputation for performance and durability. On the other hand, the 2025 Jeep Wrangler is expected to receive several updates and improvements, including a potentially more efficient engine lineup and additional advanced safety features. However, it's important to note that these updates have not yet been confirmed and are simply speculation at this point. Let us know your thoughts!

    So I am 64 years old. I have had 2 YJ's (yes I am Canadian) 1 TJ a JK and now a 2022 JL. They have all been Sahara's till this one. I bought a new Rubicon in March of 22 and I really love this one. The reason I did buy this one was because I got a really good trade for my 2015. I am not going to upgrade this one for a few more years. It will be paid off in march and the cost of this one was high. I think this one will be here for a long time. Now I am not a high level off roader. I drive my jeeps because I feel safe in them, I love the roof off and doors off and they are awesome in the snow. But that is my 2 cents.

    Matt, I have been looking at purchasing my first ever Jeep for over a year now. I have been driving Ford pickups for years before this. I love the offroad capable features of the Wrangler Rubicon. i hesitate to jump in because the new prices are so high. Buying an old beater Jeep and running it into the ground is one thing, but buying a new $70,000 vehicle is another. I'm sold on the Wrangler but i got stuck between the 4XE or the ICE versions. So now I will wait to see what comes in 2025 before making a decision. I would love to see you guys get a 4XE and run it through it's paces and really let us know what you think about that platform. thx
    jerry

    Don’t buy either/any of them until the insanity stops. My wife’s 2022 Rubicon 4XE (which she build and ordered 11/2021 and took delivery late 1/2022), as built was $65K. If you build it today with same options, it’s $73K. This afternoon I did a quick book value check (average trade in), it’s $43K (26,000 miles). Save your dollars, drive your current Jeep and let them and the rest of the manufacturers suffer for a bit.

    Passed up on pretty good deal on a used 2021 392 and ordered 2024 392 anvil sky roof/warn wench. I'm a fan of the upgrades:red powered seats, larger screen, grill and more important new side airbags for safety plus full warranty. I'm afraid to take a chance of them discontinuing the model after this year to wait for 2025. I have a scheduled date but no production yet hopefully not too long of a wait. Love the channel!

    I don’t think they’ve changed enough from my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon 3.6L to the 2024 model. If they come out with the hurricane engine with a minimum of 400hp I’d immediately put a deposit down but for now I’ll keep my supercharged 3.6 and if it blows I’ll figure out a way to put a 6.4 in it.

  • @JEEP-N-DIRT

    Old school guy (comment): I bought my 95 YJ in 97 and was just happy and still happy. Then I bough my 2018JLUR in 2019 and still happy. The interior as per their original design incorporates every previous jeep design in the wrangler and I think moving away from the original design as they did in the 2024 with that rectangle IMAX screen takes away from the interior. As for colors, I'm not hung up on that mess. Color is just a color, not worth it for me to change my jeep because of some special color. As for 4Xe, think it's cool, would like to have one in the future, but for me NO WAY I'm getting rid of my YJ or my nicely build 2018 JLUR. Oh and as for engines, I'm completely happy with the 3.6 and the 8 speed auto. I'm likely to put my money on an LJ instead of a 2025 JL.

      I agree with you on everything. Absolutely everything. I got a 23 gladiator 71k sticker and 18,300 off, thats employee pricing and the 15% off, first responder, and they gave me 500 under employee. No way is he getting 23k off.
      Secondly, I don't like the 12.3 inch dash and getting rid of 2 circle vents for those garbage 2 under the big screen. They should have done a ram screen, more vertical and kept the two circle vents. Has more of a car vibe then jeep vibe now. Including the ugly grille the 24 has now of the mastery of the 18-23' grille. Jeep has really gone backwards on everything. Very sad. Including their crazy pricing.

    I currently own a 09 JKUR. Before this I had a 98 TJ. I love that the new JL in someway resembles that look of a TJ as a 2 door. Though these price hikes and interests rates did make me question if I should even go thru with my order. So far I have been leaning towards getting a TJ again. I am bummed out because I really do want to get that 2024 JLR 2 door.
    Also! I was looking at the MSRP of my 09 JKUR and saw that it was at 31k. This is insane to think that a fully decked out rubicon from then was 31k (Could be wrong and it may have been a bit more) but now a fully decked out rubicon touches 70k to 80k. This is assuming the rubicon x is the ultimate version you can get or the 392 an overly priced Jeep but its pretty neat.
    I am also probably going to stay with my 09 JKUR. I know my 3.8 is a dog but she does good in the rocks at least lol.

    The JK Wrangler was only ever offered with one engine option. The JL has had 4 engine options not counting the e-torque versions. I can't imagine Jeep offering another engine option for the JL platform. It's already going to be a nightmare ordering parts for a JL in the future. Plus there only offering 40k on trades with 23’s and only 50k on 392’s. Yet Rubicons from 23 were sold in the 70’s and 392’s now in , the 90’s. We’re very disappointed now since originally they were supposed to retain a high trade in value. No incentives either unless it’s a 4xe or gladiator. I’d say wait for rates to go down. I’m still battling trading my 22 392 for a 24 and they’re not making it easy at all….🤯

    My $.02…the ‘24 price increases were done on a transition model so that when the newest changes come, they can get a COLA adjustment or next to no increase and look like they’re listening to the market (and their dealers who are sitting on huge inventories).
    Unrelated question-Ryan’s rig looks much taller than a small 1.5” lift. Do I have the figures wrong? Is it actually more than that? Thx

    2024 gladiator configurator still isn't live. I'm wondering about the 2024 Willys. But the MSRP on these trucks is insane. I'd thought about getting a Gladiator Willys but if a new one is gonna be $55k I might just get an F350 instead. 😂

    So very tempted to get a 2024 RubiX. I just really want the extra airbags, that new screen, and the one touch electric top. But my paid off 2019 MOAB with 45k miles feels so nice, love it, and paid off feels gooooood. I keep going down the rabbit hole on RUclips and autotrader searches but then somehow talk myself back off the edge.

    It was really a blow to find a 392 20th in the color I wanted and discounted 7k after I bought a Rubicon just a few months ago, I just couldn't trade for it with the hit I would've taken and I was even taking into consideration the value of the 392 possibly increasing over time, but it was all put to rest when I went back and it was sold, so much for that.

    In Australia with the 2024 jeep we have only 1 engine option.. no 392 no 6 cylinder diesel or petrol not even a rubicon x.. all we get is the 4cyl turbo.. so let’s hope in 2025 they can bring out an engine with more power that can compete with other cars in the Australian market, because right now, jeep are well behind… bring out something fun jeep!!! We need some power behind that pedal in the land down under! Please!!!

    I'm glad I got my 392 this year, 24. The price jump was hard to take (over 23), but the refreshes really helped daily driver ability. Most people are speculating the 392 is gone for 25 - we'll see...

    I'm debating a 24 or a 25 4xe. I am hoping for more range out of a 25... or a gladiator 4xe with decent range. I currently have a 2016 JKU and I'm excited to grab a 4xe. We have a Honda Clarity PHEV. Because of the way we drive, we go 3,500-4,000 miles between tanks of gas. It's great!

    • @dvader3263
      @dvader3263 9 месяцев назад +1

      If you can drive 4,000 miles on electricity with a vehicle that has only 20 miles of electric range with one tank of gasoline, just imagine how far you could travel with an EV that has a 330 mile electric range. Ditch the tank. You haven't been taking any 2,000 mile road trips with the 4xe, or using much gas.

      Yeah, if they offered a Gladiator Rubicon on 35's with a more powerful engine for towing I'd bite the bullet and jump on it even though the costs are insane. However, I don't think I'd want a hybrid (not that I don't think the 4xe is cool) because I'll keep whatever Jeep I buy for pretty much the rest of my life and having a simple drive train makes replacement for failing components much less expensive down the road. That 3.6 doesn't seem like it's well suited to tow a 3000lbs boat up more serious grades (but maybe I'm wrong???)

    • @Gabriel-fh8ms
      @Gabriel-fh8ms 9 месяцев назад

      @dvader3263 I see your point, but I still like being able to use the existing infrastructure of Gas Stations for quick refueling. Usually we will do road trips where we drive up to 16 hours in a day. So, I like to be able to stop at a gas station for 10 minutes and get 300 more miles of range as opposed to having to charge. I'll definitely embrace the full EV as soon as I am comfortable with it. 🙂
