Thanks Joe. Another great video and deck. I have been wanting a good tempo deck and I think I might build something from the base you built. I was thinking wouldn't it be great if we still had divine smite to exile those black cards while also protecting your own cards when spellthief is in play. Sadly it rotated out after a year of never really finding a deck to call home.
Thank you! I definitely think Divine smite has more of a place in this current standard than it did before rotation. Mono black midrange is becoming quite popular. Who knows! We may get something like it or even better coming soon. 😀
Hey Cobane! I value honesty so I’ll let you know how I feel. DMU I think is partially a filler set. I think it has many great cards that are going to be amazing combo pieces as we see more sets released, but there isn’t as much initial value that I am seeing. With new introductions as far as tribal goes, I think it’s only going to get better over time. Domain and Legendary Tribal is crushing the standard right now! We will have to wait and see it all unfold. That being said, I’m a magic player and can’t help but to be excited to see old faces with different mechanics. We are going to have tons of fun with this new Standard! Thanks for the comment 😁
I’m currently working on Bantments. Sythis, and Season of Growth work as a great engine. I tried making it work with Runes, but I don’t think it has enough punch. I did forget about Hinata’s multi target clause, and I can’t actively think of a work around.
Sheoldred is a tough one to beat when you’re drawing cards all the time! Its going to happen in Magic. You lose games, but a super fun combo is just around the corner. That’s partially why I love it! Thanks for being a big support my friend. Lots more decks to come! 😄
Exactly. Leaning a build hard into a combo like that means you’ve got to go light on interaction.. otherwise sheoldred would’ve been dust. Unfortunate matchup but still a wild slaughter 😜 so fun to watch ✌️

I definitely concur! Catgeist also has disturb which goes perfect with what we are trying to do. 👌🏻👌🏻👊🏻
