Hello Jay. I’m one of your American subscribers. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your wonderful videos. I must confess I envy you in a way. The country you live in is so beautiful. The fish you catch and forage is so interesting and the cook ups look delicious. But the most important aspect of your videos is the fact that you respect the environment. Something that is desperately needed. Keep up the good work
You don't know just how lucky you guys are. It would be amazing to just be able to go put out crab traps and catch crab or go fishing in the ocean. Where I live in the United States of America the ocean is days away. And it cost an arm and a leg to have the permits to do what you guys do.. so many people just take it for granted. One of the reasons why I love watching your guys's videos. Keep making them cuz your fans will keep watching. Smash fishing!!!!!
I live in Long Island, NY, about 2 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. There was a time when you could go crabbing and clamming in the Great South Bay with no fear of polluted water or need for permits. I did it all through my childhood +. I love watching these videos, too.

You have a new fan.. I have watched every single video you have produced. Now I have to watch a whole bunch of them multiple times because my grandson has decided you're the thing he wants to watch the most on RUclips now. He loves to forage in creaks and the lakes with us for crayfish and muscles and stuff. He will be turning six here not too long...tells his mom He wants to sit down and have a crab dinner with you lol...
We've got this crab seasoning called "Old Bay" over here on the Chesapeake Bay, & I think I found the recipe: "Old Bay : Ingredients: * 2 tablespoons celery salt * 1/4 teaspoon paprika * 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper * 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper * 1 pinch dry mustard * 1 pinch ground nutmeg * 1 pinch ground cinnamon * 1 pinch ground cardamom * 1 pinch ground allspice * 1 pinch ground cloves * 1 pinch ground ginger Instructions: 1. Whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl. Store in an airtight container, and enjoy!" ^it's *worth a try* 😈
we love watching Smash Fishing while we have dinner. wondering if you have ever tried to make some curry with those crab legs? good catch, we learn a lot by the content you post here. Thanks
Always a good night when you get to be picky about what you are keeping. Nice catch m8(thanks for not using the sweet chili sauce. It’s spicy sugar in a bottle, lol)
You've just reminded me of how long it's been since I lived on the coast and had a good mud crab... or any truly fresh seafood. The crab roll looked great. I used to be able to buy prawn and avocado rolls for lunch in Far North Queensland. I miss them too, lol, along with the Tropical climate.
Once again, my mouth is watering from the time you pulled that monster from the sea to the time you placed the meat on that roll! Simple salt, pepper and malt vinegar...so basic but I'm sure it was absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us all!
Great catch, Jay! Was that a ferry that passed you? It looked lovely in the dark with its lights shining. When we would crab for the blue claws, we didn't use fish for bait. We used raw hot dogs and pieces of bologna. Needless to say we didn't catch very much, but did we have fun!
Hi Jay, new follower from Maryland, USA. Very nice haul. What is your method of cooking crabs? We steam our Chesapeake Bay Blue crabs live, in a mixture of beer, water and apple cider vinegar. With a simple coating of "Old Bay" or similar seasoning. Then more seasoning once the crabs are done before presenting the crabs for eating. We also make a fantastic crab cake. a little more involved than you sweet crab roll. And worth the effort for sure. Yeah, I have that same problem with eating more than I set aside for crab cakes or soup. So, you are not alone young man.
Hey guys, excellent footage and greatly appreciate the regular new videos, I’ve been following for a couple of years now and probably not missed a vid, if I had one wish it would be to see you doing more beach based rod fishing but I’m happy to wait, keep up the great work and love from Berlin
Another smashing video and what a size of crab, so lucky to have such a fantastic fishery on your doorstep. Hope to visit Guernsey sometime in the future with a fishing rod or two. A video on how you make your fishing wheels would be a good watch I’m sure. Keep them coming and thanks for sharing.

Ever think about throwing back ur biggest also cus it would be doing so much breeding then when the season is slowing down then u can harvest the big daddies
Hey bud how about making a lobster hotel at low tide, by putting big rocks in a circle and making lobster sized holes under them then go back when the next tide is. (preferably at night before anyone else finds it?) Would that work?

Do brown edibles hang around at the same time as spiders ? If so which do you prefer ? M

I’m assuming when you throw them back in from that height all the legs shatter on impact 😂😂
