    Another good review. Thanks. You referenced the Legato a couple of times for comparison and makes me wonder if Legato is maybe the new standard. Or is it Sugar or Vice or something else? Does Sugar still have top spot?

      I won't know more until I redo the list later this year. I will say that all three of these golf balls have a chance of being in the top 10. They've all impressed me so much so far

    "only an apron" 😂
    For $6/ball it would have to have GPS tracking and in flight auto correct. That would make any working man spasm with water, forest, or fescue anywhere in sight. Voted least likely ball to ever make a forced carry... with hardly any attempts.
    Zstars are a little over $1 on LostBalls in bulk... excellent results with 4&5A. Complete opposite end of premium value spectrum... cooks, does the dishes, and doesn't even ask you to take out the trash. 😍

      LOL good take. Honestly I just went back and rewatched this video with a couple of guys from work and their reactions were exactly the same. I think most people when they see the price tag are just immediately turned off

    Have you ever seen the Sumbonum golf ball? Its like $20 for a dozen and would LOVE to get some kind of official review. And you do a great job from the few videos I've wtched (newer sub).

    There are too many good DTC and other balls out there to pay that much. Does the dozen come with a share of stock, lol? If I find one on the course I will try it lol! Interesting though! Thanks for the review Nick

    Enjoyed your review but would never play a ball this expensive. Just not that exciting for the price. Have a couple value DTC balls for you to try, Trust golf balls and Saintnine (Upro Tour, in particular). I've been impressed with the Saintnine for the price. 2 for one deals frequently on both brands.

      Can do sir. I actually have both golf balls ready to be tested and are in line for the next few. So stay tuned and we'll find out how good they are

    I will also never play this golf ball because of the price. I think they are just trying to rip people off and get attention by pricing their ball so ridiculously. Well, they got people’s attention, but I hope they don’t get anyone’s money. If they succeed with this price, everyone else will raise their prices somewhat as well, because they figure they can get away with it. Boycott any ball charging more than the Pro V1. This company is just phishing for “marks” and they won’t have to sucker in too many consumers to make a profit at that insulting price. Nick, I liked your intro a lot, it made me laugh, and yes, I get your drift.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  3 месяца назад +1

      Appreciate it Scott. Someone commented that the reason the price is so high is because they spent $100 million dollars on some kind of balancing technology.
      Which my reaction was.. cool I guess. But I don't care that much about every single golf ball being perfect that I'd be willing to spend that kind of money.

    Same as Malbon. Price is part of the marketing strategy. I live in LA, so I get what they are doing. You would play that ball for the same reason your girlfriend carries a $2K purse. I don't think that it will work outside of a very limited market.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  3 месяца назад +1

      I definitely buy that. Makes complete sense. But for the same reason I refuse to buy a $2,000 purse, I also refuse to buy a $70 golf ball lol

    To justify me playing the price for the LA Golf ball, It would have to be pure magic for my game. There are better options for me at a better price point.

  • @ronaldwexler8570

    Pro Vs at $62 a doz but LA at 70 is ridiculous. Golf is expensive enough without pricing normal people out. Not really what i would like to see if they want to increase play.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  Месяц назад +1

      Some companies I guess are fine being boutique models. Limited market and they are fine with that.
      However from my standpoint, if you ever want to grow I imagine it'll be a tough sell to the measure of the market. No one wants to pay that much.

  • @seegarsmkr

    Considering how much Titleist spends on marketing, tour pro contracts, and their manufacturing is second to none as is their QC, there is NO WAY another ball should be as expensive (and I am not even a fan of their balls). Considering durability, I can get over 250 shots with a Vice Pro Plus (3 rounds easy) unless I have a bunker or tree fest.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  3 месяца назад +1

      That was my overall feelings too. It's one of the main reasons I just don't understand the price. I've had people tell me it's a designer brand lifestyle kind of thing. But I guess that's out of my realm

  • @zwaager
    @zwaager 3 месяца назад +1

    At $95.55 a dozen CAD, not a chance. I'll go with any other premium ball over that. That's insane. Even tha ProV1 isn't worth that.

    I really dont understand the market they are shooting for. I guess the people that like to flex and maybe tour guys if it works for there swing. Idk how they can sell enough to keep making them with that price.

      I have come to find that there are a lot of people in this world with more money than sense. There's also just people with a freaking ton of money.
      After working at Cabot for a few months, I was shocked how many people I met that thought $1,000 was pocket change. Two totally different lifestyles LOL
