      Love all your videos. 90% of what i know about tattooing and equipment i got from you! It would help a lot if you could show us a few tattoo stencils where you would use each of the liners/shaders. I understand art style will always vary and line-weights are subjective to preference, but im sure it would help a lot of people decide what equipment they’ll need for each tattoo.
      Also have you considered doing tattoo reviews? I’d love to get feed back from you!

    Thanks for this i noticed my flat mag was showing streaks and after 2 hours of working with a curved mag ive noticed that packing black is a whole lot easier, i mean like a night and day difference. It really is like a paint brush compared to the more unforgiving flat magnums and my skin can take twice as many pass overs with the curved mags!

    Nice, first video that mentions the difference in angel of the needles on liners and shaders. Thank you. Also the first one I’ve seen who mentions that a bugpin liner will make smaller lines than standards of the same number (had kind of figured that out, but still, that made this description very clear). Also, thanks for the breakdown of possible uses in a clearer way than I’ve seen anywhere else.

    Huge thanks for the very thorough explanation. Seems I had more to learn than I realized. I'm just starting out and I'm using Stigma brand cartridges. They actually don't include taper length at all so I've contacted them to find out. I'm glad to have come across this before adding any more types and sizes of needle cartridges to my collection. Now I can make a more informed decision rather than just adding to my collection and spending unnecessarily on more. You have a fantastic knack for explaining at the brand spanking new beginner level without being condescending. It's very welcoming for those of us exploring our tattoo curiosities.

    I've asked this question before but couldn't find it again to see if you answered it. I've been searching online and can't find an answer. When learning how to tattoo and working on fake skin, we go through lots of needle cartridges. I'm trying to find ways to re-use my needle cartridges that have lots of life left in them, but the ink gets stuck in them and I can never seem to get all of the ink out. Have you had this issue when you were learning and how did you clean your cartridges in order to use them again? (on fake skin of course) I've tried everything but boiling water but i'm going to try the boiling water tonight to see if that helps and will update if it does. But I figured i'd ask if you had any tips

    This might be a stupid question but going to ask it anyway. Can you use a single needle in a tattoo pen? Or do you have to buy the needles that are already in the cartridges.

    • @ArtSomething
      @ArtSomething  2 года назад +1

      You have to buy the tattoo cartridges to use with the tattoo pen.

      I like 9 and 5 round liners. I use many more then that but those are my most commonly used needles.

    ty for the video. this is reeealy intersting. i wonder if healing and evolution in time of the tatoo is afected by neddle type or barely. if i think quick i would say that bugpin long taper would be better for healing (and less painfull) but maybe not at all... i'm curious if you have some insight on that .

    your gudiance has been a blessing thank you very much for taking your time to really educate the masses because beginners like me getting ready for my apprenticeship is key tp not feeling completely lost entering formal structure.
