So far one of my favourite videos series , my mom always wanted a Porsche . I for years tried to get her a 944 and she passed in July before I could make that dream come true . The Porsche content gives me that few minutes of dreaming of what I’d do with a Porsche for my ma ❤
A feature video of each individual car would be sick. You don't see too many people showing where the car came from to where it's at now. Those roller shots were on point.
I'm a VW guy at heart, that's why this is one of my favourite cars that you own. The look of it is amazing it just needs that Jimmy O flavour, and it's already getting that.
That road you were on when you said it was surprising you, is what that car was built for. Back-road barn-stormer.. Don't need the big power to have fun... If anything, more than 350 hp will spoil it for the drive it hard experience.. More power means silly speed to have some fun pushing it on down the road. It works, looks good, sounds good and is really fun to drive. Really hope you spend more time driving it than modding it. /edit, just saw your end goal bit.. I love that your plan is to keep it reasonably powered(and at 350 matches my earlier comment 😁).. It's so good to see someone do something that makes sense for a daily fun car rather than the crazy power many go for.
i think the interior looks amazing as is. should just take it to get everything reupholstered and swap the switch panel with one of those tiny digital panels for the link and keep the original cluster, just get it wired up to work.
Got a 1991 3.3 Turbo had it for 22years still get a buzz every time I drive it . Has a very distinct smell on entry warm oil smell mixed with petrol fumes interior smell .. Yes I can relate head whipping from passer byes ..

This was great! What you're experiencing is the joy of a (mostly) analog car. There is NOTHING like driving classic cars that don't have all the nannies, babysitters, and computers. Just you and the car! I'd almost not paint it. When a car has wear, you drive and enjoy it more. I LOVE this car!
Uses to work on classic VW's and porsche's for a living, and I can honestly say these era porsche's are the best cars I've ever had the pleasure of driving!

Can verify the attention! I have a 67 Mustang that sounds pretty sweet and everybody loves it! You drive it and you get necks being broken a lot of the time. It's awesome seeing the positive reactions, but as someone that has crippling anxiety at times, you wish like you could drive it without the attention at times lol. Weird feeling.

That porsche might be a legendary MidNight Club race car. MidNight Club is a small group of people who raced the wangans all over Japan. And they drove cars like the Nissan 300zx, gtr, SA22-FD3S Mazda Rx7, Lamborghinni Contach, Diablo, Miura, Julia, Toyota supra MA70-GA70-A80, and Ferrari F40.
I occasionally do the school run in my 964. At first my son would complain, saying that everyone looks at us. Now he's a bit older, he begs me to take him to school in it.
You should do this review style video for all your cars. Nice change of pace from regular content and it lets us see you actually driving some of your cars.
This sounds very similar to why I love my E30. It is slow and doesn't snap your head back. But the drive is SO FUN and it snaps necks WAY more then I ever thought it would.
I LOVE OLD PORSCHES its something about them that puts a smile on your face can't wait till its done if you wanna try a chassis that roughly the same to me its the mk1 Audi TT lovely cars. can't wait to see the finish interior of your Porsche
You should make this a series with every car in the shop, make a playlist and each car gets its own video just like this. Would be so cool to be able to see all the ‘finished’ cars!
I read somewhere there is a certain level of interaction between man and a machine where if it the connection is proper, the machine and man become one and the machine/car is an extension of the person. Also DPT banner with the Porsche would be sick.
As a big VW guy, naturally my absolute ALL-TIME dream car has always been a 930 or 964 911. With skyrocketing prices though, I’ll have to get lucky and find a good deal on one that needs a lot of work, otherwise I’ll likely never be able to afford a clean one. If only I would have found a way to buy one 10-15+ years ago when they could be found for $12k all day long.
I found similar thoughts with the 964. With that much tyre and wide body it really needs more power. Try one with that power and with less rubber, it feels way more alive. The value is kinda out there for mapping in your head but the other side is, porkers kinda always hold their value, they are less susceptible to market fluctuations so it doesn't matter if you drive it hard, people expect it of them.

My uncle had an 88 carrera and it made me fall in love with old air cooled Porsches. I’d definitely love to own one sooner or later

I may have seen this car on the pages of Option Magazine and other jdm car magazine years ago.
That’s why I love my 91 civic EF hatchback 5 speed. Although it only has 100hp maybe. It’s so fun to rip on it an cruise around.
