Generally speaking, when you see the videos of the octopus eating in Japan and China that look like they are still alive, they are actually quite dead, but so freshly dead that the central nervous systems are still firing off, giving the illusion that it is being eaten alive. She on the other hand tried to actually eat a LIVE octopus which is just a bad idea. Ethical reasons aside, they are quite strong, almost completely muscle, extremely intelligent escape artists, and they have a razor sharp beak for a mouth. They use them to crush open shells, can strong arm something that is 40 times their own weight, and are known for snapping the spines of predators like sharks!
Please tell me that this was not serious. They 100% eat about 30 different live animals. Not dead animals whose muscles are still moving because of some kind of nerve activity they are actually alive and considered a delicacy in fact the octopus is the most popular live animal that is eaten and if not eaten correctly it can actually start sucking at the throat and cause them to be strangled to death from the inside out. I can't believe you actually tried to say the animals are dead but just moving because of muscle activity. You can look up any information from these countries and it will tell you the animals are alive taken from the fresh water they live in, be it salt or natural and served to the people.
@@patriciazernone-wood5423 Actually, that depends on the location you are speaking about. For instance China and certain regions of Japan do not allow live animal dishes, but all of South Korea does. Contrary to popular belief, we even allow the eating of certain live animals right here in the USA. There are many different ways that it is prepared. Sometimes live sometimes not. It all depends on the dish. I did mention that the person in the video was attempting to eat a live one though, or did you only read half of the first sentence of my entire comment?

@@JMulvy you asked me if I only read the first sentence and if I actually read your entire comment which I read your entire comment and I did research afterward there are about 30 different live fresh from the water seafoods that are served in restaurants alive uncooked and placed on a plate alive and uncooked same as in Japan same as in the US so for you to say that the animals are actually dead on the videos and only giving off muscle activity is disinformation you're not giving actual facts. China does allow for live animals to be eaten as delicacies same with about 40 other countries in this world. But you want people reading your comment to believe that these are actually dead animals that were just immediately cooked as soon as they were caught so they're nervous system still works and no that is not the situation. Do some foods that are cooked like that go to the table?, yes they do but they're also not considered live anymore either.
@@JMulvy I added an actual link to dining in China in Japan but I guess this channel does not allow links and immediately removed it. so if you want to learn that eating differences especially of the elite in Japan and China just look up an amazing article about live food, for fine dining. While in China and Japan. And there's another one that you can find from food and wine magazine that discusses live animal eating in about 40 countries and what delicacies are and what some of the ways to eat the items are
The live-streamer who tried to eat the octopus alive is known for her extreme actions for views, and she has several times abused animals due to her videos, so its freaking KARMA that the octopus gave her a fight..
Devil. Period. Anyone who can hurt an animal deserves a LOT more than that...and yes, when I see things like bull "fighters" get gored, KARMA...other animal abusers suffer, KARMA!

I was pretty annoyed at her because I've been there before, as I'm sure a lot of kids have, a parent trying to force their kid to hang out with them instead of letting them be kids and play video games. So what if you don't like the game? You're not the one playing it!
@@shannonforsberg4118 exactly let the kid be, I have two boys 20 & 9 and I could never do that while my oldest was on a live stream that's so embarrassing, my 9 year old lives on his iPad but it's also his speech tool he has autism and he's non verbal ( for the perfect patty parents don't think I let an ipad raise my son) but my oldest goes to school (university he graduated high school) so if he wants to game I let him. Some parents need to give their children space and let them be. There are worse things they could be doing then gaming
@@heatherboz I think there's a lot of misinformation about video games. Parents tend to think they encourage violence but in reality it can be a healthy form of escapism, it often helps teach team skills and strategy, and what's awesome is you can progress at your own pace. Of course no one should game excessively but like your example, video games/iPad use is not inherently bad. That mom just came off extremely domineering and demanding and incredible rude and disrespectful to her son's space and autonomy
That Chinese streamer, trying to eat the live octopus, was lucky it was a species with the suckers on their tentacles. There are species Octopi that have claws on their tentacles and they are use to rip an tear instead of grip and pull (suckers). The rip and tear variety can cause some serious damage to skin.

If it was a squid she would’ve been messed up.
The suction alone is actually so strong that it cuts her cheek in a couple places, if u watch the whole thing. So I can only imagine the damage claws would make!!!!!!

I always wonder if the guy dropping his dinner isn't mostly upset about the fact that it landed somewhere unfortunate. I mean, I'm sure he's upset about the dinner he's missing, but if that landed on his keyboard...
I was just thinking that. If it lands on the kitchen table, not the worst thing, esp with all the work and cleaning involved in making chicken parm, just clean it up. Hopefully you have more and can just mix that food with the dog's next few meals, esp at pill time. Chicken parm and other messy meals IMO are best made in batches with leftovers frozen properly (use same-size square freezer containers to maximize space). Working with raw chicken involves careful hygiene anyway so do it all at once. Some dishes like Francese don't save well so I rarely make it (by myself anyway). Edit: CLEAN kitchen table, as it should be, with a final swipe with vinegar before dinner (no, not a clean freak but certain things like kitchen and bathrooms are gross, and possibly dangerous

Oh god, that cat gave me flashbacks to one of my pit bulls last week. She comes bounding into the house hopping and humping the air, and sure enough, there's half a turd hanging out her ass by a piece of string (or grass) that's anchored in the other half of the turd that's still inside her. 😱😱😱 Her dad (I'm her godfather) leapt into action and extracted it before she had a chance to smear it across our carpet, thank gods.

Once had a cat get a poo stuck to her tail , and it scared her. She went tearing around the living room smearing poop all over the carpet. It was gross, but also funny.

I did that once, in college, and thankfully only got my laptop and notes. The laptop was under the warranty/protection plan and so I got another one for $25.
My only excuse was it was like 8 am and I was braindead from working till midnight multiple nights in a row. And it's been years but I still think about it.
I was pregnant and on my laptop. I reached down to put my water on the floor (no nightstand) and poured it all over laptop. It’s been 14 years and I’m still very paranoid about any liquid anywhere near laptops/iPads/phones.
I literally did this last night, so don't feel bad! haha the cap wasn't closed all the way ugh
i work in a kitchen and it's happened a few times where im shaking something (like a dressing or sauce) before pouring it and then im covered in who knows what T_T its even worse cos it'll be in a quart container, the lid just wasnt secured correctly lol

The first video of the lady trying to eat the octopus then put the octopus in oil . She (or someone similar ) was called out by Charlie white ( the one who ran away from the wasp after winning his game ) as RUclips filth who tortures and eats live seafood for views . I thank God my 15-year-old and 12-year-old sons are still very affectionate. They hug and kiss me and their father and tell us they love us daily. We're not perfect and we have plenty of problems but this is one thing that we've kept consistent in their lives and our daughter's life is physical and verbal love and affection is important.

I was that mom interrupting the stream the other day. Busted into my 11yo’s room SINGING about how he needed to change his pants and he gave me the most horrified look and was just like “.... MOM...” motioning at the screen where I could see he was in a group call 🤣

One of my cats likes to embarrass me during Zoom groups. I did a six week class through NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to learn how to live with my disabled schizophrenic adult son, along with others who had similar challenges in their families. Serious stuff, and we were sharing some of our most difficult experiences when my psycho cat pounced on the back of my chair and tore a chunk out of it with his teeth. He then jumped in my lap and tried to swat at the people he saw on the screen. I picked him up and put him in my bathroom until the class was over, apologizing profusely. The others told me it was okay, we could all use a little comic relief!
