If you want to know the truth you look at actual money allocation vs what has been built. The truth is the government hasnt allocated much to this project which in my opinion is a good thing since it lacks any economical merit.

The total amount of money spent in Konza is just a few billion shillings, projects are funded from government's consolidated funds and its easy to see how much by looking at national budget, like in this year budget the allocation is only 5.2 billion to expand the data center.

If you were to ask me I’d say we’d rather abandon Konza city and instead direct all resources towards Special Economic Zones like Dongo Kundu, Naivasha and the rest coz they’ll be the biggest and fastest catalysts in ensuring Kenya rises to become an industrial and manufacturing hub and as a result increasing our exports tenfold! And that means more jobs for Kenyans, and an accelerated economic growth too! As for technology, Kenya is already known as a tech and innovation powerhouse in the continent! We can instead use upper hill as the tech hub and continue innovating from there! Plus the 100,000 km of fiber optic being built together with over 1400 ICT hubs in the country should be enough to ensure we remain at the forefront of technology and innovation in Africa!
