Anchoring the City with the Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (K-AIST) is great planning. This investment from the Koreans to Kenyans will never be forgotten. Get the best tech schools on boarded from other science parks and development partners. Africa's tech future begins here 🎉🎉🎉
I am South African and i love kenya. dont be discouraged about problems in kenya. all countries in the world have their own issues and challenges including rich countries. some countries have more problems than yours.
What a beautiful and alluring sight to behold. I enjoyed watching the Konza Technopolis Smart City, Kenya's futuristic Wonderland. The developers are doing a magnificent and excellent job. Kenyans sure have a good eye and sense for aesthetics in urban planning. Well done, my people. Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬💯🥂.
The location of Konza city was perfect! Away from the Hustle and Bustle of Nairobi, Beautiful City, these are the technologies we see when we travel to Developed countries, all the way from the waste disposals, Underground electricity cables, the orderliness of the roads! I must admit Kenya is on the right track, let our leadership not fail us.❤
I longed for something like this in Kenya, just to prove it’s doable and it’s possible… new upcoming towns shouldn’t make the same mistakes our big towns and cities made.
Thumbs up for the fore sightedness. Nakasongola all the way to the shore of Lake Kyoga, is the best site for this in Uganda. If only the government would fore see the benefit in such, sustainability for the next 200 years ahead, then this would be the best to ever implement in Uganda. Our leaders really need to borrow a leaf and think outside the box.

I hope the Land grabbers and Scrape metal vendors will not corrupt that City .................. From the Look of things the City will change some ways Kenya are used to living .. dropping litter any where in Town and messing with things............... Beautiful City there.
U broke all the traffic rules! Thanks 🙏 u showed as details will kenyans have a class G or c driving licence for konza cause the kenya drivers don’t know how to read signs and usually don’t obey them!
@dolphine254 Yes, my concern is common mwananchi, investors should have initiatives that promotes local content. Also do not forget to capture buffer zones, and its risks for tge neigbouring community, We have wananchi that cannot afford a property from inside but can manage something land from the outside within the proximity, are they safe to own lands around Ko za City. Ama after 10 20 years ita turn kuwa scheme na conflicts. Serikali inaaminika but watu waserikali hawaaminiki
Very good presentation of the progress made so far. Please share the contacts of the Konza City authority. We have a few institutional investments in education and vocational training we want to seek space for at the city.
@@Firestarter001 kumbaff sana. All the infrastructure (from scratch/first trench) was built under Uhuru. Everything you are seeing now was done under Uhuru. There's a lot of infra underground than what you are seeing now. RUclips /google is your friend. You can see the development from day one to what we have now!. Actually all the roads, horizontal infra, sewer, and main building were done long before Uhuru left
In all honesty, TATU CITY is 10 years ahead of KONZA CITY, Kenyans also need to understand KONZA is not for everyone to go there, its a controlled city meant for ICT research and development, so its more of a campus than a city, TATU is more inclusive hence a proper city in making.
@@vivianaviy345 You dont know what you are talking about, both KONZA and TATU are located on 5,000 acres pieces of land, TATU recently acquired extra 2,000 acres from OAKLANDS coffee estate to cater for its rapid growth. @dolphine254 Sounds good. I hope we will soon find a buyer for our plot in Ruiru. It's been on the market for a year now. If successful we might be investing in Konza City.
Roundabouts are the root cause of traffic jams,, Developed cities don't have them,, Traffic lights are enough,, The US uses lights and their roads are more safer than ours,, it's a matter of road discipline.
@Donjesse1694 assuming when driving and there are no cars on the road you still have to stop at intersections as opposed to roundabouts. This causes more traffic jams.
Hi @Dolphine, I am planning to go to Konza to do a documentary there as well. My name is Halligan a digital journalist from CGTN-Africa, would you kindly share some contacts that I can use.
please I ask developers to build beautiful buildings with good appearance and good architecture in neoclassical and industrial style... prohibit building ugly buildings in Konza.. also build a good public park and a square with an uninterrupted water fountain
But we should have highrised buildings to avoid land wastage,we have small land as a country, our country isnt bigger like congo,so they should stop building short storey buildings
Why cnt they build big road once like more lanes on each side for future ..sasa one way traffic ni ya nini?..can anything be done right in this country?
Wait until they arrive_ they will sell onions, clothes, mayai pasua, smocha, some will even wash shoes, mkokoteni, I know how they do things. Usikojoe hapa, they will kojoa hata kwa hizo miti zote hadi zikufe
You have a very bad mentality, do you think they will allow that, konza will be a controlled city with rules like they have in tatu city, actually once completed very few vehicles will be allowed in. It will be a city that attracts the rich, wealthy and civilized people, no offence but the poor people are the ones chaotic with no manners
The roads are good but there are no shoulders. Whoever is designing this should have accounted for that we have light poles righ on the edge of the roads. When this place opens to the public it will have constant jams from blocked lanes and stalled vehicles all roads in a master planed city should have shoulders for emergencies. Other than that looks good progress painfully slow . But it's progress
