Awesome man!
Hey i don't know but I would love to see both Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen together in person on THIS show The Rule Of Two Please please please please 🙏
He seemed like he roasted you for your chanel..
Can you review the rest of the Kylo Ren comic PLEASE!
Today is my BIRTHDAY! (March 11) And my favorite voice from Sam Witwer is has to be "KENOBIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" LOL.
Theory's reaction is clearly that he is sucking in the wise words Witwer is saying, so he can learn how to make Vader ep 2 right
Remus Lazar I was thinking the same thing lol
Same here bros
"WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!!!!!!!!"
Bruh I literally just made a meme of this same thing right before I saw this comment
He's actually planning on calling Sam after the show.
_"I have a proposition for you..."_
He is so damn correct. The man who played three sith is so wise.
NO! I’M DIRTY DAN!
Joe Mama NO IM DIRTY DAN!
@Joe Mama
Phantomkillerx5 NO I AM DIRTY DAN!
Well, we know who will be playing Plagueis eventually...
Bruh he must be very in tune with the fandom. The nose art controversy is not a big deal at all and it’s impressive that he’s aware of it
Unique Bart voice actors tend to be that way sometimes. Especially someone as involved with Star Wars as he is.
Sam Witwer is known for being extremely in tune with the Star Wars story and fandom.
He's in tune with the fandom because he's part of it. Star Wars as a modern franchise is almost entirely populated with people who grew up during the prequel era, or even during the original era. Star Wars fans making Star Wars content for other Star Wars fans. That's how it should be.
Tell that to geeks and gamers. The removal of the nose art was a sin according to the fandom menace.
El Bearsidente shut up
Are you kiddin me? You managed to get him (Sam Witwer) on the show? Congratulations! That's so awesome!!! I can listen to you guys for days!!
Oh my lord. LaMisto, sooo good to see you here. I didn't know you like The Clone Wars. It's always good to see romanias Star Wars fans. Te pup
@@simp8157 ms mult! sunt mare fan star wars! :)
@@LaMisto Nicio problema. Sunt bucuroasa cand vad ca exista fani romani care stiu de aceste show-uri si alte materiale SW inafara de filme. Din pacate nu prea dai de ei dar si ei exista undeva in fandom.
"Talent isn't people making a youtube video about, 'How Phantom Menace could've been better!'"
Sam Witwer putting youtube clickbaiters on blast.
Hes said exactly what ive been saying. Had we gotten more episodes a one off joke about padme would be fine.
But since we are only getting so many episodes- none of which otherwise feature padme- its necessary to bring the character into the forefront in at least a little way to refocus anakin's motivation going into Revenge of the Sith
Dave Filoni said in an interview last week that he wrote the new Padme scene because it is her only appearance in this entire last season. Let me just also say THANK YOU to SWT for listening and letting Sam talk. It really irritates me when the interviewer doesn't let their guest talk.
I don't get why people are getting pissed off about the nose art scene. Was it funny, yes. Is the new scene way better, yes
What is the nose art scene I'm so confused?
Edit: oh I know of that, I, did not know that the nose of the ship was being referred to XD
It's not because it's not in the new version. it's because Disney/Lucasfilm is doing everything in their power to remove any of the original unfinished versions that has the scene in it.
@@callumtorrance9180 This should have been on the gunship of the Bad Batch. boundingintocomics.com/files/2020/02/2020.02.28-02.21-boundingintocomics-5e5921e4be44d.jpg
@@callumtorrance9180 the Bad Batch ship used to have a sexy pinup on it that Anakin gets mad at. It's funny but doesn't really fit in with the episode anymore
The one scene that shouldn’t have been removed, was the scene where the Techno Union disintegrated one of the natives with Destructo Droid. Kinda important as to why Anakin, Rex, Echo, and the bad batch wanted to quickly leave the lab.
I remember as a kid, when I dreamed about getting in the film or animation or video game industry, my biggest dream was to work with Sam Witwer someday.
Im studying digital cinematography now and I'm still dreaming the same hahaha
Even though he isn't like, top-tier celebrity, that should never be the point of goals imo. I want to work with someone I respect and I know really cares for his work and has talent, like he said haha. Also, he's friggin Starkiller so probably the ten year old in me would shed some tears of joy. But yeah, work ethic too or something.
Hope your dream comes true man
Good luck!!!! I think this guy is super cool. I hoep your dream comes true!
Live your dreams my friend you come way to far to stop now.
I love Theory's concentration/thinking face. We know he's loving this and soaking up every word Sam says 😁
Sam's Dave impression is hilarious. 😂
Finally! I was waiting for this. He is so good at explaining. And hearing him saying that the finale will be epic hypes me up!!!

Sam Witwer is such a huge star wars fan and i'm happy for him that he has gotten to work within the universe
Probably my favorite Segment of the Rule of Two, Sam Witwer really goes in depth about the creative process and what it’s like to be part of it. And I agree that if one scene should be traded, it should be traded out for a more meaningful scene to the plot. As funny as that Padme Nose Art was, the scene we got instead was much better.
You should have Sam on more often if possible, the dudes an amazing person, and a Passionate Fan that knows what he’s talking about. I am curious about his view of the Sequels, I wish that was a question that could’ve been answered, because I’m sure his opinion would be very valuable considering how many Fans admire and trust him as a person.
He’s so good, in literally everything.
I see Starkiller chose the path of wisdom
I love this guy's passion, he's got the understanding on lock. More people like Sam need to be at the helm of Star Wars.
He always be Starkiller in my eyes
Same.
My boi just sitting in the middle chillin’ between the rule of two
He is both Master and Apprentice.
He.... he IS one of the two :/
Commander Shepard I was referencing he’s played Maul and Palpatine.
@@vanguardtrainer924 I wasn't talking to you. And the OP was referring to SWTheory, not Sam.
Oh wow you have Sam Witwer on! That's really cool and you can tell his love for Star Wars.
I hope you can bring him back for a part two. Already saw this podcast twice.😁
I think the highlight of this podcast is that Darth Maul has more lines in this than the Phantom Menace
I am about to go into college for film editing. This video is straight facts sometimes some great moments will get cut to improve pacing, theme, and the tone.
The fandom menace: “culture war?!”
Sam Witwer: “How about no?!”
I think it was the disappointment. And the blaming the fans that Disney has been putting out. They're just that disappointed that they don't want to be patron to it.
His Dave Filoni impression is on point
Damn.... What Witwer's saying, about how everyone knows what's wrong with something when seeing the finished product... I was reflecting on that just a few weeks ago. He's so right. That's not to say we can't critique stuff or state ideas or disagree with actions taken, but writing something from scratch, making those judgement calls when you can't yet see the finished product, is a whole different and much more challenging task than looking at a finished product, with all the hard work done, and saying, "they shoulda done this/that."
Definitely my favorite part of the interview
He’s absolutely right. There’s a subculture of fans who are just looking for things.
The fans haven't been treated very well by the franchise as of the last few years so I cant say I blame them for it. They're expecting to be snubbed basically.
Great Gouda That’s not really a good way of looking at it. Just because movies/shows aren’t exactly what we think they should be, doesn’t mean they’re snubbing us.
I understand and agree with complaining with how Disney ruins stuff but minor things like this and the decimator droid scene were just unnecessary exposition that didn’t do much anyway.
Scarletfire359 I think he’s referring to the directors and Lucasfilm workers who attacked the fans who criticized and didn’t like the new movies.
@@greatgouda4792 That's such bullshit. Yes, I agree that Disney hasn't treated the fans well in regards to the sequel trilogy (I say Disney and not JJ Abrams or Rian Johnson because I truly believe they tried their best and Disney's meddling is what ruined the trilogy) but look at everything else we've gotten the past couple of years. We've gotten amazing comics, amazing games, amazing novels, and pretty good TV shows all from Disney that have shown the love and care the different creators have for the series and the respect they have towards the fans. Yes the sequel trilogy is the biggest thing to come out of Disney's Star Wars, but it does not speak for all of it.
It was really cool listening to Sam Witwer talk about Star Wars, and the art of filmmaking in general. I’ve always liked him as an actor, and he seems like a really nice guy to hang out with.
As a fan I hate to hear what we've lost, but I love what we got.
Really hope we get him on the podcast again after the clone wars finale. Hearing his brief description of it is already cool enough, and I really wanna hear more from him on it after it's release
Loved the podcast man! Just wish that you had more chances to engage with the other two. kind of felt like you were pushed to the side a little bit
He purposely stayed quiet, you could tell he was very interested in what Sam had to say.
@@boatymcboatface45yearsago59 I don't doubt he was interested. I mean, who wouldn't be lol. But you could tell that he was a little overshadowed by the other two. Marc still tried to pull him into the discussion which was nice, however, a majority of what was discussed were things that Theory wasn't involved with. DC, RPG games, etc.
@@young9869 yeah for the rest of the podcast I agree. I was just talking about this particular clip.

Incredible reflection on the filmmaking process. I love Sam's passion for the stories of SW, and his mind is so sharp!
Great! Really excited. Great job guys
The moment on the podcast where they both did the palp impression was such a pure moment lol
Love this guy Sam Mnf Witwer!...and my god he has not aged since Smallville!🔥🐉👊👍
Can never unsee his character and voice for who he is must make him direct an episode film of something Star Wars
Isn't it funny that seeing his face makes me jump right back into childhood when I was 10 years old begging mom and dad to buy me star wars the force unleashed 1 for my Wii. LoL
Wow, this was really deep, loved watching this! Thank you!
Awesome podcast SWT and so cool seeing Sam Witwer on it.
I think it is always great to hear stuff like this Sam Witwer is a very inspirational person and him talking really makes you want to listen to what he has to say!
I understand and agree with complaining with how Disney ruins stuff but minor things like this and the decimator droid scene were just unnecessary exposition that didn’t do much anyway.
I mean to be fair, without the exposition, the decimator just looks like some puny orb with electric tentacles. It definitely needed the demonstration to stay.
Frostburn it had no effect on the story after the two scenes it was in. It was barely in the episode.
Pyro Puffs Ehhhh… the nose art scene I’m okay with, but the decimation scene is a demonstration of power. It adds tension and adds a darker tone to the episode. The episode was also 17 minutes and a 30 second scene extends that. I need as much Star Wars as I can get.
@@Mys10c The thing is later on in the episode, they show a close up of a droid executing one of the natives during the attack on the village, like legit execution style killing. So that is pretty damn dark for a kid's show, so maybe they thought that that scene was enough and would allow them to remove a torture scene. (I will say, I haven't seen the unfinished reels so I don't know if that execution scene in the village was in the original episode)
Is that Starkiller??
He even looks like Galen
Yes
Yep! And the voice of Maul and the Emperor in Clone wars and Rebels
@WillFanofMany true!
Yep
his rant starting around 3:48 was straight up FACTS.
@ EVERY MAINSTREAM MEDIA REVIEWER giving people working on movies/games sooo muchhhh shit and always talking about how they wouldve done things or made things so “much better”
(the quartering & angry joe show are so guilty of that)
Exactly. 3:48 I’m looking at you, red letter media.
Daryll W wasn’t necessarily a Rant... more like the Truth. And a lot of what Sam Witwer speaks about is the Truth.
so basically if anyone complains about anything they're wrong because sam said so.
DarkSpyro707 essentially those who critique movies or games for how they should have been would be ignorant because if they themselves were in the same position they would have no idea what to do.
@@Fi_Sci_ then thats pretty much saying no critic ever is qualified to critique anything because they weren't there making it.
God I love Sam Witwer! He’s such an amazing speaker and gets his points across so well.
I just love and absolutely love how passionate sam is about star wars. And I don't think I'm wrong when saying we all smiled when listening to him cause we could see a little bit of us in him. This is why the Clone wars is and will be amazing. The people working on it fondly care for star wars.
Okay that sums this all up
Sure there are times when Disney Executives screw over the creators and fans, but this wasn’t it.
On the wings of keeradaks D:
IKR Geeks + Gamers are at times exaggerated on what Disney has done to Star Wars and they have good points. But this time they have to realize they are wrong with Clone Wars changes to this last season over Unfinished Episodes from Legacy series.
@@Eohll Jeremy from G+G has stated that scene was a change for the better..... a lot of people are nervous though can you blame them??
@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo true you can't blame them. Ignorance is an bliss.
ST is definitely so focused on what he’s saying about story telling! Lol surprised he isn’t taking notes but I bet he rewatched this video a couple times!
Sam is always so incredible to listen to.
I’d go watch the whole podcast it was great 👍🏻 only wish it was longer tho
Sam Witwer knows more about the business than i thought
Of course he does. I love Sam Witwer lmao
The man couldn’t be more correct.
Sam Witwer. If you can read this or if anyone can get this to him. You can replace Troy Baker in Retro Replay with Uncle Nolan North!!! I mean I love you to bits Troy but since you made the choice to move out of the couch and explore the world, we need someobe to succeed you.
Samuel, please explore this!!! You and Uncle Nolan will mesh really well!!!
Been a fan of Sam since Battlestar Galactica. He is a great guy.
He sounds a fair bit like Nolan North and I can't unhear it now 😂
Need some Theory commentary happening over this convo between Marc and Sam. Hope you and Sam get more one-on-one time in the future!
Sam is quite literally the best. Dave Filoni, Ashley Eckstein, and Sam are my favorite people in Star Wars.
What about the scene where Wat Tambor was being ruthless executing a native? That scene adds so much tension and suspense, no reason to remove it
Sam Witwer is the great actor, he is talented, he knows so much about Star Wars, he has done for it so much, he loves it, we love him, that's why he deserves for big role in the film. His role as Starkiller is not enough, I want to see him more and more in the Star Wars, not only hear his voice as Maul or Emperor (his voice and acting are superb, amazing). I hope that Star Wars developers won't forget him as we won't forget him.
Gawd I loved seeing him again on Supergirl again. I hope I see more of him
George, Dave and Sam.
The Star Wars Holy Trinity
Sam is awesome! I'd love to meet him at a con someday!
Oh my god I love Sam Witwer
Super cool to have him on the show. I loved the Force Unleashed. I wonder if anything will ever happen with Galen Marek. I mean, they brought Thrawn back and threw him around in the timeline, as well as several other characters, including Maul, which Sam is currently voicing. I could see Galen having a totally new identity and them working the story around in a way that's similar to the Force Unleashed, without him necessarily being apprenticed directly to Vader.
I have so much respect for Sam Witwer.
Thank God for Sam Witwer!💜
I love the rule of two
Sam Witwer is a Star Wars God! Love the man... Second only to Mark Hamill.
“One’s gotta go.” It makes sense to have that Padme scene with Anakin and remove the nose art. It’s too bad they couldn’t have it for another scene in a different episode.
1:10 - I can't be the only one who heard Sam say "erection" instead of direction 😂
man, sam witwer's palpatine's voice is very deep as well i was laughing when he suddenly did it. he's awesome.
Sam and his Dave Filoni imitation is so spot on. 😂
Sam is absolutely right when he talks about undercutting scenes. When you consider how playing both scenes back to back would have affected the tone and pacing of the episode (plus the fact that this is apparently the last time that we will see Padme) I think it becomes pretty clear that cutting the nose art scene and replacing it with the hologram scene was a good decision. That being said I think his comments about film criticism not requiring talent as compared to film making comes across as very bitter. I understand that the creative process is very difficult, and I understand that many online critics create very low effort content. But that does not take away from the critics that do work hard to create high quality criticism. Yes they are working with the final product but they still have to meticulously dissect the film they are critiquing, pouring weeks sometimes even months of work into drafting, redrafting, researching, and editing in order to create there content. Just look at redlettermedia for example.
Sam Witwer is an awesome, highly intelligent and competent person. It was actually very interesting listening to what he was saying.
I really really really wish i could meet sam he seems like a laidback dude who knows his star wars
The first time I saw sam witwer was during the podcast. I never realized he was also the face of starkiller as well
Jeremy from Geeks and Gamers will find someway to say this was about him lmao
Noobmaster 69 that Guy will criticize Disney Star Wars as a daily hobby, so his word doesn’t amount for much when all he does is Complain, never truly admitting what the films do successfully.
That right wing dweeeb troll is toxic as the rest of the fandom menace .fucking chode that dude is.
Hans Von Witzland yes, but the only Star Wars G&G ever focus on is the Disney Star Wars movies.
They never cover the Prequels or Originals, all they ever say is that they are better then the sequels _which is not saying much._
Hans Von Witzland Of course it is not. But when you he doesn’t even know what the process and the real reason was for deleting this scene was and immediately blamed it on SJW agenda, it’s not an opinion anymore. It is just misleading and milking on what today is very popular, hating on Disney Star Wars and of course SJWs.
I agree with him on everything with the Disney trilogy
Sam could do a whole other interview on the topics that y'all covered in this chunk. So fascinating. In my time acting, writing, and RPing, my favorite thing is always the creative process, the collaboration between actors and directors or between the GM/DM and other players or between a writer and beta readers/critique partners (I haven't actually worked with any editors yet but I'll get there!). Some scenes are great, but in order to tell a cohesive story you sometimes have to "kill your darlings" for the overall good of the story. That doesn't mean you have to delete them entirely. I have whole documents full of scenes that I've axed at one point or another that I might be able to use later. But yeah. "It's not the intent until it comes out." BOOM. Change is good, my Padawans, especially when it means we get the best possible stories. Thanks for speaking into that, Sam. MTFBWY.
Sam Witwer will always be a hero of film any media he's involved in, what a wise man.
Wouldn't surprise me if this man became a big director name sometime in the future.
I love how intelligent and passionate the next generation of start wars is. There's still hope for quality content.
If it was a full season instead of 12 episodes I’m sure they could’ve fit the nose art scene but they worked with what time they had and made the best decisions
But why they had only 12 episodes, did someone forbid making more?
Андрей Шурочка or they thought 12 was all they wanted or needed. Filoni might want to move on from Clone Wars
Hey Sam Witwer you were really powerful at the Force Unleashed.
Man would make a perfect Star Killer
FluffythePersianCat oh wait 😮
He’s really intelligent with these things it’s good to see
He’s awesome
