Been using the 5200 for 5 years... im sticking to these until plantronics/poly comes out with something new and better. Im a sales rep on the go and many deals made while using it. My on the field techs also love it... we all communicate to each other loud and clear. But when Im at home in front of the computer... im using the Jabra mono evolve 65. I prefer that as im having more lengthy in depth conversations and it gives me confidence having the mic closer to my mouth. Not to say that the 5200 wouldnt be good for that... I just like to keep em fresh for when Im out and about...

The 5200 really has set the standard for this form factor of a headset. If you like the 5200, give the new Yealink BH71 a look. You'll notice a similar design but some nice improvements to be aware of. ruclips.net/video/I9Jcyv08fLc/видео.html

Just a heads up the “Newer” 5200’s don’t work in cold climates, the mics will cut out within seconds and won’t work until the headset it warm again. The only response me and my colleagues get is that the unit is faulty and we get a replacement that is exactly the same.. I’m on my 5th unit with the same issue, so I’m gonna give the Jabra a shot
My 5 year old 5200 worked great until I ran it over with a truck!

I'm looking for a headset (mono) able to block other near people talking whom currently trigger my speech recognition app ☹. Any recommanded model among this two or others in same budget range?

I used own poly 5200. Since beginning I had trouble with it, noise cancelation would often cause problems like ppl would hear me so bad that they could not hear or understand what I been talking. Other things which I hated the most was disconnecting my calls without my knowledge and that charging box yeah it looks cool but it was more just a case than charger 😉. So now I'm testing Jabra 65 and it's more simple so far but too soon to give good 👍

    Great video Ixchel ! 😊
I own the Poly 5200 (the model with the wind guard) and a couple of extra things I like about it are:
    - It has a high definition setting that can be switched on in the plantronics app! It makes a big difference in sound whether your listening to someone speak or listening to an audio book or RUclips etc!
    - Another super important point is that lots of people where AirPods for phone conversations which for the person wearing them, they can cancel out noise around them to hear the person they’re speaking with better and that’s great however, the AirPods do not have noise cancellation for the microphones so the person on the other end of the phone call is hearing all of that background noise, which is just terrible, especially wind, which brings me to my fourth thing that I like.
    - The Poly voyager 5200 to me literally has the best wind reduction I’ve ever experienced or should I say the person listening on the other end has ever experienced. I could be walking through a super windy day outside and on a phone call and I fire ask the person I’m speaking to, “can you hear all that wind”? Almost 10 times out of 10 they say, “I can’t hear any wind, you sound totally clear”.
To me, that is a huge, huge deal!
There is only one thing that I wish could be improved is the way it fits in your ear. That said, it is not at all a big enough deal to not purchase it and love it because it works awesome, and I have tested on purpose like a total nerd so many Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth earbuds to see which one sound great during phone calls until I’ve been blue in the face and I can honestly say the 5200 is the best that I’ve ever used thus far!
And so, I carry both my AirPods Pros as well as my Poly 5200.
One thing important to mention is there’s a 5200 that has the wind guard and a 5200 I believe that doesn’t and they look the same so you have to make sure that the one you purchase has the Wyngarde which is probably 20 or $30 more than the other one, but unbelievably worth it! 👍🏼😊
