I don’t know, I’m constantly stunned at how expensive Thred Up is - each time Rachel holds up an item I guess the price based on what it’d normally be in a local charity shop (I’m in Britain), so, for example I’ll say “£5” and she says “$27”. I have a beaded silk Laura Ashley blouse that cost me £7, for example.
Have you tried micolet? Works from Italy and it is cheaper than thread up... The big downside is about the pictures, you often don't get the exact idea of what the item is going to be because the pics are kinda bad

I usually only look through 2 pages of each brand so I don'tgo overboard on spending. But I've bought some really nice brands from ThredUp for cheap. I bought a Zara dress for $12 & lots of Abercrombie, AE and Free People for $10 & less. Depends what you're willing to spend and how good the quality is.
Cardigans are the best!! 🥰 Like scarves, they're an easy add/remove of layers in changeable weather, or when inside & outside temps don't match...? I have an ever-growing collection of cardies, mostly hand-knitted by myself (all in cotton due to wool allergy). They've been an interesting adventure in learning to do the fancy stuff like cabling or shaping... & repeated unraveling when that learning hasn't been successful, sigh! 🤭)

I’ve always loved them to be honest, but I never really had the confidence or the money to pull them off. I recently went thrifting and realized there’s a lot of things I can do with thrifted clothing, and I have some sewing experience so it’s very helpful when somethings not quite there and needs some modifications. Slowly but surely, I’m getting used to wearing classy vintage attire I’ve always wanted to try and you’ve been very helpful in the process! a good vintage jacket is always great to fin! i thrifted an old 80's bomber jacket almost a decade ago and i wear it every autumn/winter. Its super warm and will easily last me a long time
That's because all the stuff from the 80's were made better than all the stuff that coming from China. American Union workers' pride. This is why so many young people are now into vintage fashion. Besides it much more interesting than a pair of yoga tights.

Today’s random thought is that ‘Puffy Sleeves & Elastic Breasts’ sounds like a song that’s a weird fusion of punk and baroque style folk music. Also, for sentimental reasons, the Blankie Outfit was my favourite one. I’ve got a current favourite blanket that’s on my bed right now, so I understand the attachment.

She brought it 2nd hand, so it doesn't help the company. I just bought a Lularoe skirt that is really nice and classic looking. When it arrived, I was shocked at the robust fabric. It is not skimpy or cheap looking. Really nice. And I paid 2nd hand price for it.
I'm guessing Rachel hasn't seen the docuseries on Amazon. At least buying second hand doesn't put money into that cult.

I love ThredUp. I'm big and also poor. Even Walmart shirts are like $30 a pop in my size. Thank you Rachel for my summer wardrobe. I'll have to go back in the next few days and get some winter stuff. I don't even care about brand names but just being able to get cute shirts for $15 or less is amazing. Plus it's better for the environment!
