@@paigehall4830 I believe it, and the worst part is it brings out all the bees, flies, and mosquitos too. When in Tennessee keep a can of insect spray in your car you will need it.
Super cute. Some helpful tips: 1) apply primer to umbrella first, then paint orange. This goes for any projects you are overlapping to cover up previous patterns. 2) when working with stretch fabrics for swimwear, use a pattern smaller than your regular pattern meant for (non-stretch) wovens. If smaller in measurements, the stretch fabric will form to your body snuggly as a swimsuit is supposed to. Hope this helps for future projects!

you are an inspiration to those of us who jump feet first into a project with no idea how to do it. I aspire to come as close to the idea as you do. what a joy to watch
I remember those book socks. My kids had them. They never lasted as long as the paper grocery bags I used in school.
I LOVED the brown paper bag covers ! Pleased my doodling heart ❤ !
I had a few book socks but they honestly suck. They don't fit on all books, softcovers get bended by them, you can't put labels on them, and your books are so slippery. I mostly just used book wrapping paper after trying it, which is more sturdy and more customizable!
"sometimes we just need some spooky content to get us through" agreed
I love how creative Rachel is, and the energy she brings. I love the projects and the æsthetic. Most of all I love the references and the puns. 🎃
Ok first of all I would buy that bathing suit in a HEARTBEAT!! Second of all, spooky content gives me life so this was so refreshing in the midst of the horror that is summer
Rachel is a delight! I can't wait for her next episodes. Never boring, always unconventional and FUNNY, and i learn a lot, too.
My 6 year old loved this episode sooooo much. We had many a belly laugh at the extreme painting.
"I know what you're thinking..."
Why are you using the worlds smallest brush?
"Why didn't I order an orange umbrella online?"
Oh. Yes. That's prob a better question.
😂 yeah, I was thinking why didn’t she fully extend the umbrella from the beginning, but ordering an orange one would have worked too😂
I kept thinking BUT! NEXT. DAY. DELIVERY!!
I had the same exact thought 😂
My question was: why not spray paint? Why not a primer layer first? 😅
That brush was killing me. So smol.
Everyone else: You're thinking about Halloween in July?!?
Me: */IRL just finished crocheting a spoopy cute Halloween ghost doily* ...who are you and what the hell are you doing in my apartment. >:|
I’ve already begun the sly psychological “programming” of what my three year old granddaughter wants to be for Halloween … I want to make sure she gets fixated on being something I’ll love to sew! 😂🎃
We require the pattern for your ghost doily
I would like the instructions on this, please and thank you
That Halloween doily sounds great. I am crocheting bees and flowers for a hanging decoration.
@@venteuse Hmm, I thought I responded with the link, but now it's not showing I did... it's on Ravelry, just search "Halloween doily", and it's called, "Boo!" By Marsha Glassner. It's freeeee!
Oh thanks 😊 love fall spooky. Can't with summer 😁❤️
Ohhh what a nice display of knees. I was catching up with Girl Genius and then this popped up in my feed.
Thanks for lighting up our weekend here
The filming on the beach is like an hysterically funny silent movie 🎥.
My husband always says I’m biologically designed for a bog in northern Germany. 🤣 Vermont is good for me most of the year, but that hot spell was yucky!
I’m in NH and I’ve been screaming for a week now that “I live here for a reason” and “give me winter” 😂😭🥵
Ok this made me lol and scared my cat in the process.
Greetings from northern Germany! It's hot as hell right now but you could/should still come around some day lol
@@sallyr8384 Moin! Sorry to hear about the hot spell there! I guess Rachel complaining about the weather is what we all need. ☺️
Your basement is starting to look like a theatrical costumer's lair, so I'm gonna call that a win.
Your videos brought me back to my creative mind after a heart hurting week. Thank you to you and Mr. Frodo ❤️🙏
I sunburn in Ireland in March so I'm right there with you.
Merch alert: "It's always spooky season..." t-shirts.
I literally gasped and clutched my pearls at 5:18 thinking you had broken those saucy sunglasses. The pumpkin umbrella turned out shockingly well! (I had my doubts) AMAZING work on that spiderweb bathing suit!!! Success!!!
I gasped out loud too lol
"But make it spooky" a new video series idea? That would be awesome!
And in today's installment of Rachel being the most relatable RUclipsr I watch, we have this. The comments on Massachusetts summers and Job Lot were SPOT ON 😂😂😂😂💚💚💚💚
When my eldest wanted a black cape, I sewed on half a bag of small, glow in the dark spiders all over it. Instead of ribbon ties, I used large safety pins to attach the cape to her, t-shirt's shoulders. My mommy brain was worried she would get runned over or strangled during the one hour she would be trick or treating (at 3 pm). 🍄🍄
Those bat wing sun glasses look so good on your head.
Stop kidding yourself, we all know Bob Ross would love this channel.
You know I think he really would.
Rachel: owns light, flowy dresses
Also Rachel: wears wool shorts in summer
From Australian to you, please no.
Maybe a video idea: make linen/cotton shorts?
Also a "Honey...just no to the wool shorts" from this South Carolinian /South Louisianan.
I looked up 90°f in °c and was laughing in Australian...
Rachel I know its pretty on the ads but don't ever visit Queensland- the heat/humidity may kill you.
The swimsuit came out SO GOOD! imitating the little girl from despicable me: It's so cute and SPOOKY!!!!!
The entire look is amazing!
The recording in the beach is the best thing I have seen in my entire life with all honesty
You are so creative. I love how you
made it your beach day. So unique. Thank you for your videos.
You’ve heard of Christmas in July, but are you ready for Halloween in July? 🕷🕷🕷
"the air feels like soup" is the best way to describe east coast summers
I live in Tennessee and I detest spring and summer with every fiber of my being. It's too hot and humid. If it's cold you can always add as many layers of clothing as you like to compensate for it but if it's 80 degrees there's only so much clothing you can remove before being burnt like a rotisserie chicken by the sun's unyielding hell-rays.
100 % uvb protection girl. And a hat, umbrella, ...
I drove through TN and it was horrendously humid
@@paigehall4830 I believe it, and the worst part is it brings out all the bees, flies, and mosquitos too. When in Tennessee keep a can of insect spray in your car you will need it.
Where in Tennessee are you that 80 is hot? In Knoxville, that's practically sweater weather.
@@HarryLovesRuth Obviously I DON'T live in Knoxville but I have 0 tolerance physically for the sun so YES 80 IS hot.
You’re such a babe, but especially in your whiskey grandpa outfit. You look so good!
Me, approximately half way through the video: "where's Frodo?" 🥺
Rachel at 22:46 "I feel like we haven't seen enough Frodo in this video..."
Me: 🥺
New drinking challenge: take a shot every time Rachel complains about the weather, compares the weather to drinkable liquids, or talks about how sweaty she is in fun euphemisms or song/dance form. Good luck and God speed
I wanna try this except “take a hit” version until I transcend into another dimension.
Alternate idea, drink water and get hydrated, because I think Rachel would want that to be her legacy
@@mythandmayhem1134 alternate alternate idea, switch between alcohol shots and water shots. Half responsible, half chaos, just like Rachel
@@rachael02126 that's just drinking responsibly and the way to no hangover in the morning
"Welcome to my channel, 90% of it is me complaining about the weather." There's that British DNA!
lived in the UK for a while and then moved to northern michigan where the weather is quite comparable! as a former british resident, i’m pleased with these weather patterns haha
“May result in mediocrity.” I need that on a T-shirt.
I'd buy that...
Your bathing suit turned out super cute....love it.
