Considering that Stuart passed away in 2001, it would be best to say Big Country isn't the SAME Big Country without him. As with all things, change happens.
for me I ve always loved this song !since seeing /recording the video for this song , down at corfe castle / swanage ! and its still got so much balls , specialy with bruces , new intro ! PERFECT and long live the legasy of stuart / big country , and the magic it reminds us of / brings in lockdown ! of all those wonderfull gigs / nights .
Still Big Country, Bruce co-founded the band with Stuart and Mark and Tony were brought in later and if Stuart hadn't been so shy Derek Forbes would maybe have been the bass player instead of Tony.
Tony Butler, he preformed with the band up until 2012 when he announced his departure from the band he still releases solo work and tours on his own but he has left Big Country although he never ruled out ever returning to the band if I remember correctly.
@@daddyrabbit835 Yes, Bruce Watson (Guitar) and Mark Brzezicki on Drums. Nicest guys in the world. I met them several years ago, totally down to Earth. Saw them in 1983, best concert of my life. Saw them recently and they killed it! Favorite band of all time!
As much as we love bands with the original lineup, we gotta remember that the guys who are gone aren't the whole band,, i mean one member's dead & another left its these guys' band too
Big Country isn’t big country without Stuart, enough said.
Thanks for your negativity Baz. I bet Christmas is great at your house
I agree and baz is entitled to his opinion.
Yes, but life does go on...

Always loved this song since 1984. Lots of love from Busan ♥️
Captures the Celtic spirit! Excellent.
Superb ! Best I've heard Big Country sound for years.
What a band and what a shame. Too many tears now
Great band and an awesome song

Long live Big Country. For Stuart's memory xx
Great band, great song...
Awesome! Stay Alive Indeed!!
Alway full volume for this song
THANK YOU for uploading this!
4:07 ... They nailed the outro , awesome video

My favourite song I wish Stuart Adamson was still alive
VERY NICE! IN A BIG COUNTRY
Teary-eyed!
If they want to go on let them. Move forward to the future
Where is Tony Butler?
Love!
Just fantastic, guys! Love it!
Am i the only one who thought there were bagpipes in this song?
I always thought there was a bagpipe in the song. Back then I did not know you can have the guitar sound like a bagpipe
I believe that was the whole idea behind the Big Country sound. The guitarists synthesized the bagpipe sound on their guitars.
The effect they used is called an Ebow. You set it on the strings without using a pick and you're only using the fretboard.
Vocals are turned down? Is that how the whole concert sounded?
Would have loved to have been there. Where’s the black dude?

Are there any original members in this lineup?

Tony Butler is playing bass with the Rolling Stones now
Busy.
The heart and soul is gone. The spirit will live on!
Scott Whitley rocking out on Bass, fantastic😃
what happened to the old bassist
Tony Butler retired in 2013
Who can pick out the one band member that is on cocaine lol
They need to fire the sound engineer
sorry cant do it
At what point is this Big Country? Only the guitar player looks familiar
Mark still on drums.
Not the same without Tony the bass player
Don’t sound the same without stuart on lead vocals rip
Where's Tony?
I miss Stuart
Why isn’t the black dude who played thc bass guitar there
Without Stuart and Tony they are NOT Big Country.
@Wid Eye very well said.
Someone’s gotta keep the band alive
As much as we love bands with the original lineup, we gotta remember that the guys who are gone aren't the whole band,, i mean one member's dead & another left its these guys' band too
Apparently it still is.
How exactly is this Big Country? It’s a cover band without the singer/songwriter and half the members
Didnt the lead singer die?
@@helixmoore7636 sadly, yes
Not bad at all!
Sponging off the name... half the band.. move on
Please,’please … don’t play it anymore…not the same without Stuart… respect his memory 😢
