They definitely counted as killed LMAO. There are 14 mandatory KOs in this mission, and he just had 8 KOs

You're a legend! How you do every Splinter Cell with a 100 percent stealth is beyond me. I can't understand how you do each one without getting detected. I have done this mission over and over, and I have only been able to 52 percent stealth on Hard, and all the bodies have been thrown over the ship. I just don't understand....
I was playing this mission just now. Took me 58min, on the first part i just took out the 3 genirators out and could blow the mountian side... didnt know out the two guys there there were looking for me but never saw me they came over to the tent of the first gen... i got the captain and in the end they said i killed 9 people coz of that i got 84% i just knocked everyone out like you did. i think coz its the first pc game it might have a glitch. i know noone ever saw me... Thanks for your videos.... Keep up the good work... P.S its the best i have ever done sofar...

This is definitely one of the top 5 toughest missions ever in SC. It ranks up there with kalinatek from SC 1, nuclear power plant from SC 1, kundang camp from Pandora tomorrow, and battery from chaos theory.
Kalitanek is not as hard as Abaittoir but rest, I agree.
Battery is only hard if you're doing 100%
@@RobertEdwinHouse9 I was always a 100% guy, so yeah. You're right though, battery isn't too bad otherwise. I just remember it being unreasonably difficult to get 100% on

I figured it out, I wasn't waiting for the guard at 17:16 to finish talking, it was the only thing that I did different and I got the 100% !! Thanks again Centerstrain01 !!

Leaving a like for that opening text in the corner. Personally, I find the second area with the detonator controls and tents to be the most challenging.
Great guide as usual dude, just a heads up I was able to do this with 0 casualties period although it's very risky. I'm unable to show this as this was a lot of trial and error and will be nowhere as consistently successful ascenterstrains walkthrough but imma just try and explain for people who really want no guards to die period.
1.With the two knockouts and then in the body, instead you can lure them away from the wall before hacking the computer and blowing it up. This was very hard to pull off and it won't consistently work but it is possible preventing any injuries or deaths.
2. With the guy who falls into the ice, you can get past that section without breaking that part of the ice but rather break the first part seen in the video, wait till the guy who investigates turns his back and then exit through that whole and go in the other side (again risky).
3. When throwing dudes off of the boat. Instead put them over on the left hand side of the boat (where the container is placed). There should be a large stockpile or crate under the railway where you can put the bodies by. Putting the bodies here will prevent the captain from seeing the bodies later and will not be seen by roaming guards.
4. With the crewdeck, I was able to grab the first guy and pull him outside before knocking him out, then gas grenades the other 2. (heads up I don't know if putting gas in ventilation killed them or not but I tried this method to be safe).
This mission is such a pain in the ass to 100% stealth... but thanks for the help I got it! 😅

You can kill guys in this without it impacting your stealth rating.I think it's the same for the last JBA mission too.
Funny, I got 100% on this mission, and detonated the bomb with one of those two jokers next to the ice wall. If I had to guess, it's because the corpse fell into the waterway that was created, hiding it from patrolling guard #2. Yes, I'm playing this game in 2018. Just trying to 100% the game on hard, since it is a good game.
Also, on my playthrough, I did not dump the bodies off the ship. I just picked my targets carefully. I started with the guy on the far left (third guy you took out) and worked my way around. Prioritize the people elevated, as they have a wider field of vision. Once you've KO'd everyone, nobody should be going around there looking for them. Though like I think you mentioned, there is some luck involved with this given how the game runs.

So the only thing you could say about it would be that at the end with the captain of the ship....
Whether there was no other option to hide him somewhere else.
But ... On the whole, you manage to do every mission 100%.
It doesn't really matter what happens to the captain. Since he won't be discovered anyway and you're long gone ...

I find it weird that they decided to design a mission with almost no shadows in a game series literally designed around the idea of light and shadow as it's prime game mechanic. But oh well, guess it's a way to artificially increase difficulty of a section.
Glad I'm not the only one that can never be the bad guy. Especially in bioshock 1 I just gotta be the good guy
I usually go good first, but I like to see both sides of the spectrum. However in RDR2 I went Evil first for some reason.

I spent so many hours trying to ace this and failed miserably eheh, you made it look so easy, great work!
Yesterday I finally got 100% on this mission, on Normal. It's not on Hard, but I'm getting there. The controls are frustrating to keep up with. But nonetheless, if I can 100% Chaos Theory on all difficulties I can too on this one. Also, this missions is notorious for clipping issues. Sometimes, Sam can get stuck. When you get to the Rublev and take out a few guards their rag doll physics will clip into the environment, causing them to shake erratically. One of the guards nearby the bridge is stuck in place. You can distract him with a whistle, but Sam moves too slow in this game for a close quarter knockout. I recommend finding a whiskey bottle nearby the two guards standing next to each other and knocking him out on the head. If that doesn't work, have a Ring Airfoil Round or Sticky Shocker equipped and shoot his head. You should be close enough to do it without being seen, but save here just in case you get spotted, or you miss.
There is almost no shadows to be found. You will have to do things the old, Metal Gear Solid PS1 fashioned way and rely on objects and walls to conceal yourself. If you can't do what Centerstrain does when you get to the watchtower, don't be afraid to use a Smoke Grenade. It's what I did. I took out the watchtower guard first in fact, sneaking past the other two guards on the ground first. Then I took out the guard that patrolled below the watchtower (acted fast here too before he turns his back) then moved on to the second and last guard.
I knocked out everyone in Okhotsk Part 1 except for a guard sleeping in a tent, and the two guards at the beginning of the level. I sneaked past the two guards you encounter on Part 2, and climbed the rappel rather than bring the Zodiac down. In fact, I also didn't release the Zodiac too. I stayed as silent as I could. I opted not to use the vents to take out the bridge crew believe it or not. In fact, get this: the three men on the bridge were stuck together, so I used a Sticky Cam real quick to knock them out. They were glitched in position, that's how bugged the game is.
Hard to do stealthy. I always get caught a few times whenever I play that mission. I hate it. I like missions where you just avoid most guards.

No, he's carrying it because it's this level "flashlight".

welcome, same situations here, i am playing whole saga from beginning for the first time, and since in chaos theory i only needed his videos in 2 missions in DA i have problems, game seems to be worse than chaos theory for me
This mission is such b.s. I knocked everyone out like I was supposed to. No alerts or anything and yet 2 bodies are still found bringing my stealth score to 20%. None of the patrolling guards found any of the bodies. Trust me. I was doing a 100% stealth run on this game on hard, but after that I'm over it. This level sums up this game perfectly.

Second... I followed this video step by step but for some reason I can only get a 60% stealth because one body gets found. Can anyone help me or have any ideas as to which body is being discovered ? I've played through this level four times now with the same result.... 60% !!!

i would pay 200$ for a full splinter cell game only in arctic enviorment with alot of diving. this is just insane. the suit is so badass i dont even have any words
Strain, the reason they drop the shocker seperated from you is because the guards could detect it on their radar.

I detonated the C4 and didn't kill them. I made them catch a glimpse of me and come to check it out. While they were checking that out, I went to screw the generator so those guys near the PC with the codes would go away and check that out. Didn't use smokes, didn't knock out anyone. It's a Hitman Absolution XP :)

I just did this mission and got a -6%. lol I basically got so used to Blacklist where you don't necessarily have to hide the bodies.
Bought this game about a week ago. So frustrating to get through it. I sure hope it gets easier as the game goes on.

haha the guy at 17:20 didn't see me when i came up next to him on his left (your right) it's a good walkthrough some of the controls are a little hard to get used to though that's probably because i spent most of my time on Tenchu Z before playing this game
I agree with Centerstarin01 on this one too, what i dont understand is in the beginning of the mission in the cutscene where sam kicks the equipment box from the plane, why doesnt he just equip it all before he jumps from the plane. lol BTW BIG FAN of your videos man. You don't have to throw all the bodies off the ship because on the hard difficulty, Rockman showed me how to get 100% in this mission by hiding the bodies somewhere on the ship.
Agreed. What's the point of the iconic night-vision goggles on a mission like this?
I've done this mission in 35 minutes by not throwing anyone into the water on a 100% but I made a big pile of bodies when I did that :D

I'm on xbox man, and there is sometimes a spys vs mercs up. Pretty dead but the single player is so fun to play after a long time.

Gravity is such a useful tool.
Its almost no different from the first Splinter Cell. You always had to find a large, shadowy area to hide a huge pile of bodies on certain levels.
I was f**king raging over this mission when i played this game. Took me i don't know how many hours to finally get 100%

On the PC version, you throw them off the ship, and you are penalized for bodies found.
