I'm 35 now & fell in love with this game when I was around 13. Very nostalgic for me, im sure my love and appreciation for anime came from the old final fantasy's with VII & IX been my favourites! (have to admire the work of the Japanese) 🥰❤
This soundtrack is perfect. It captures the essence of the previous games while being its own unforgettable masterpiece. It feels like a love letter to the Final Fantasy series.
The whole game does. The use of the classic RPG characters like mages, sorcerers etc when the previous games had moved away from that a bit was brilliant
Just hearing the OST and I got instant flashbacks of the game background, characters and things I did in the game. Takes me right back to my teenage years... Nostalgia. Nostalgia everywhere.

@@creed22solar123 I agree, I think I am one of few that enjoyed FF15 in its entirety. The story was fun and epic, the combat was well created and I loved being able to switch between characters with ease. In FF16 sadly, the "story" is predictable and so daman boring, the combat is so easy I could give the controller to my 6 year old brother who plays Minecraft and he would easily play this game. All you need is to do one combo to stun lock most enemies. There are no curatives, no Phoenix Downs, or really anything special as far as consumables. There is just High potions, and normal potions and tonics (which I have never used because the game is so damn easy.) The visuals look like a late PS3 or early PS4 game at the best of times, which are far and few, and the color palette is just a mix of blacks, grey and dark hues of brown and reds. There is not much of that Final Fantasy color palette we all love. Most of the characters are horrible people, and the main "hero's" are bland and don't stand out. The villains are cartoonish, nothing is a surprise. All in all no one waste you're money or time buying Final Fantasy 16.

Best game ever. Wonderfull music, characters, SUPER great art! Nice story I understand people that couldn't play it cause of the very slow combat system, at first it was slow even for me but the game was too epic to not continue through.
For music appreciation class, we had to memorize instruments. I aced it by finding people playing memorable Nobuo Uematsu themes on the instruments. Played them moments before the class started, me and a couple other people were stressing. A few people really felt the music. The Professor clutched his heart and went "Ohh that is true work of art."
Definitely, it is my go-to music when I need a bit of motivation at work. The only problem is that it makes me want to play every time haha. I have a switch and I can buy it on it for pennies, might just do that :D.

So many occurrences of chills listening to this whole thing today. What an amazing experience the game is. at first it was slow even for me but the game was too epic to not continue through.
Best of all Time!!!!!
How could a game be so good
Am I the only one who listens to this while working? So good to focus
Me too, regards from
Chile
I'm here while studying for college right now lmao
Definitely, it is my go-to music when I need a bit of motivation at work. The only problem is that it makes me want to play every time haha. I have a switch and I can buy it on it for pennies, might just do that :D.
i try to listen to this but i just cry because life will never be as simple as the day i first played this ever again
I think it's time for a REPLAY AYYYY
Still one of my favorite battle themes. Thanks for uploading.
"how far would u go to rescue a princess?" was the motto in the tv commercial...
FF9 best FF of all times pls square when u see this I want more references to this masterpiece in FF14 ❤
This comment aged well. :) Have fun will all the FF9 references in FF14 Dawntrail!
I would KILL for a playable burmecian race in FFXIV. I don’t think square will add another race after hrothgals for a while though. But if they do add burmecians it’ll be the quickest fantasia purchase of my life
@@Arcanum-t2r Yeah, Yoshida said ff14 won't be getting any more new races.
@@ryokophreak true, but at the same time they said that exact thing after they added the au ra so you never know
thank you for uploading this :)
So glad i was a kid when i played these
For me personally, its better the lofi.. helped me to study for my finals with a smile on my face. THX!!
it's funny how many of these songs are ingrained in me. i'll be walking around the house whistling something i thought i made up and turns out it's one of these songs that I haven't heard in 15 years =)
As a kid, my copy of ff9 came with two disc 3s and no disc 2, and best buy refused to refund my brother. I ended up playing through the first disc a couple times I think. Very fond memories of this game! Luckily, I do own the second disc now. Ended up beating it back in I think 2019 or 2020. This game needs a remaster!
The best Final Fantasy songs in IX...
Recently got into the final fantasy series. One thing they ALWAYS get right is the music, so damn good
2:22:25 - the audio cuts out, comes back, and then cuts out again for this song in particular for some reason, just FYI. Love this game so much, thank you for uploading this :).
I can't believe this is 5 hours long, unbelievable classic
3:54:23 Still gives me goosebumps thinking of that scene
chya
Its so goooood, right? BEST FF EVER :)
4 hours 50 minutes sounds about right, I mean it's a phenomenally expansive soundtrack
This game was so much fun when I played thru it! So much to do and side games to play.
I adore You’re Not Alone, Freya’s theme, and Unforgettable Silhouette out of all the FFIX songs and am partial to Vivi’s theme as well
incredible.....
what are the odds .... those 3 titles are my favourite too
Went into a south gate at the border theme slump but couldn’t remember the name. Thanks!
Literally the best times of my life this game
Seeing russian gameplay represented in this OST video warmed my heart cuz Im russian myself,,, ff9 was such a fundamental game for me in my childhood,,, thank u
Vivi's Theme FTW
one of my best game ever
The best game of the history, I have played it tones of times, my first cd was scratched sadly and I always had to start the game from the memory card game saved on the second cd 🥺
So many occurrences of chills listening to this whole thing today. What an amazing experience the game is. The creators knew exactly what they were doing in each aspect, and put all of their experience into this last main FF title on PSX. While there have been good titles in the following eras, FF and otherwise, I haven't enjoyed a game so much since.
Found that I still remember most of them after years
Thank you very much!
Cool! I arranged some of FFIX tracks for church organ: 'Dark Messenger', 'You're not Alone' and 'The Place I'll return to someday' in case you guys are interested ;)
Cool idea with the vid in vid. Looking forward to see more of you.
A musical marvel to give an atmosphere to my role-playing games. :)
when i must die, i want to listening to a Place of Memory.
I've got it for ps1, steam and android, i would instantly preorder a remake version... pls squarenix give me life, give me Vivi.
Im only 14 but i Remember playing It with my older cousin and my sister. We didint even finished the story but man i Remember all the good time we spent😢😢😢
It's odd that I HATED this game when I first played it! Now that I'm older I can appreciate it so much more! Its now one of my top 10 favourite games of all time.
Same for me, I wasn't very fond of it back in the day when the game released, but the older I got the more I learned to appreciate this masterpiece.
El mejor final fantasy del mundo mundial
You're a legend. 😊😊😊
wtf happened at 3:31:45?
Edit: Nevermind, there's all kinds of weird shit in this video.
Were you scared too?
This is a Russian review of this game, all videos from it.
Beautiful nostalgia memories
Obra Maestra
My 1st and still my favorite
i remeber getting this game back then, the case itself was bad ass, and when i saw their was 4 disc i was like hell yea! this game is going to be long as hell
Racchiude quei paio d'anni d'infanzia e ricordi.
