Haven’t played this game for about 20 years, but the tunes from the soundtrack still play in my head when I’m doing an “epic task” like painting a room or taking my dog on a really long walk with no headphones 😂 Crazy how games of this era had better scores than most movies ever made. Love it.

im from argentina, i played this since i was 7 years old, still playing it once in a while, really love this game, the story, the levels, it was so hard that i just ended the game like 10 years ago, took me like 8 to figure out how to win this game, love this music!

Ff9’s battle boss theme is an homage to ff4’s battle boss theme.

One of the few games where when I launched it, I stopped to listen to the menu music, it's so good! Only other game where I've stopped playing just to listen to the music was Farcry 5, the visuals and music in some scenes in that game gave me goosebumps (Oh the bliss track for instance)

For anyone worrying that they don't want to play this cuz it's old: don't worry. I played it for the first time last year and it's STILL a masterpiece all these years later. Ff7 is great too

I'm 36, played this when I was a kid on PS1. I always though FF IX was the best in the series. I didn't have to force myself to finish it. No ADHD squirrel wizard conjuring demons of distraction. I enjoyed the play through. The characters and dialogue was enjoyable. Great soundtrack. Better than 7,8, or 10. The most epic.
