- Ja’Kerian Rhodes-Ewing, 17, is facing two charges after police say he brought a Pink Lady Handgun 38-revolver handgun to school last Friday, according to an arrest affidavit.

@schrutefarmbeets4448 that was very different situation. Mass murdering strangers, and Ethans intentions were clear but parents still provided him firearms. Parents were complicit in that situation. This incident was probably a personal beef and delinquents can easily buy firearms on black market, doubt parents were directly complicit. Mom/grandma obviously didn't do a good job raising this baby though

If I were a single parent, having kids could potentially be a jail sentence. We better start building more prisons if parents become responsible for their kids behaviors.

Ted Cruz tried to get the Congress to approve spending left over money from the COVID thing to give to schools for metal detectors, improved perimeter security and security guards. The (then Democrat) Congress flatly refused without giving a reason. Later they said they would not approve it "because it would not work". Inner cities have been doing this for decades with 100% success....

Why does a child even believe he has close to a right to pick up a handgun and take it to a school? answer that you nothing parents who are actually the better of the parents because you will show up to the PTA meeting. We surely need to examine how this young person got his hands on the gun as suggested.
But perhaps, even more important, we should do an attitude check on these young people.
Look at his mugshot. What do you see? Clearly, he's got an attitude problem ... one he learned from his environment.
It's time to quit ignoring this element of the problem just because the problem leads back to uncomfortable discussions and solutions.
Remember, the gun didn't fire itself. The crime required someone willing to attemp to kill another young person.
Perhaps a better place to direct our attention is on what's causing all this aggressive anger in the first place.
Something is happening in our culture that is taking innocent young children and turning them into potential killers.
There are hundreds of millions of guns out there, not wounding and killing people.
You don't fix problems by ignoring the true cause.
