Being a life long NYC resident, I've seen a few of my childhood friends go to prison for actually defending themselves with an illegal firearm. When it comes down to it, the Police can't protect you from someone that is closer to you than they are.
Some lawyers needs to come out and take care of this woman, figure out the details and do what you guys do! She was obviously in the right.

I was taught in firearm training not to fire warning shots. Someone in my city fired a warning shot in the air at a fight in a park, the bullet struck a girl and now he's in jail.

Warning shots are dangerous and illegal the bullets will come down. There's a higher likelihood of dying from warning shots because when and if they do hit people it's on the top of their head. She shouldn't have shot those women either because she didn't have the legal justification to do so (great bodily harm or imminent threat of death). When you don't know self defense laws you're risking jail time from improper use of your firearm. Just like this lady here

Everyone has a God given right to Life. Bring back the original laws in regards where everyone could purchase a firearm whenever they wanted or need one. In most states you can't discharge a weapon into the air, plus her protection was illegal. Now if she had purchased a legal weapon and actually shot them after they entered her home, she'd be clear.
