I think the black rubber gasket for the single hole installation right above the counter top and it goes below the neck of the faucet as single hole! Since you were using 3 hole-plate installation, the rubber gasket might not be required!
Thanks, but you did not explain where the Black line (the 3rd) came from, and what's for? Also, the faucet comes with 4 lines. What's the 4th line for?
Hi! The black line is the extension line for the shower head (you can extend the shower head for reaching into hard places). The 2 black lines connect to each other (refer to minute 11:14). The other 2 lines are your hot and cold water lines. Hope this helps!
@@handyneasy Thank you for prompt response. Your faucet has 4 lines. Understand the top black line. Where the bottom black line (connecting to the top black line) came from? Is it the 4th (black) line in your faucet? I just got a Kholer 30471-VS. It has 4 lines. It does not have shower head. The 3rd line connects to hand sprayer. Don't understand what the 4th slim black plastic tube for? Kholer's Installation Guide is terrible. It does not list all the parts in the box and explain what is each part for, nor has adequate diagrams. My problem now is not how to install the new faucet. My problem now is how to unscrew a long strange nut underneath in a very narrow & deep spaceI guess plumbing has not changed much in the last 150 years.
In my case the 2 black lines connect to each other and both of them work as part of the shower head system. If your faucet comes with a hand sprayer, could this be related to the quick connect valve? You have to join both black lines in order for you to extend the hand sprayer. This is just a guess as I am not very familiar with that system. If you keep having issues, I would recommend that you call/email Kohler, I believe they could provide you more info.
@@handyneasy I tore apart the old faucet. I searched RUclips and the so-called "uninstallation" was either drilled or simply cut the old faucet😉I figured out where the two black lines should go and the commission has accomplished. It was the hardest DIY job😅Thank you💯🌹🌹🌹
I did my installation with this video, everything was good explained, mine comes with 4 hoses and shower. Thank you so much ! 😃👍🏼
Hi Ron! I’m glad that the video helped you! Hope it lasts you for a long time!
Thank you for this clear and understandable explanation! It was very helpful
