I don't have a relationship with alcohol at all, I don't like how it makes me feel, i don't like the taste, can't stand the smell 😅 love social occasions and have fun going out, but Don't teally feel the need to have alcohol in my life.
❤
Same ❤
I totallyyy respect and understand this!
@@SanneVloetI would get Tea, Hot Chocolate, or Milk in the flight before landing.
Who wants to have a relationship with actual poison.
Here in Germany there has been a really great change when it comes to beer, many breweries have developed non alcoholic beer that actually tastes so good that you don’t even miss the „real“ thing. Now it’s super easy to go out and pretty much every bar and restaurant will have multiple options of non alcoholic beers
That’s so interesting! I love that they are offering more alternatives
@@SanneVloetin St Petersburg Florida we have several kava bars where they serve kratom and kava and botanical drinks 💗 as alternatives/medicine
I’m 26 and have never tried alcohol. When I learnt how it affects the brain in 6th grade chemistry class, I decided then and there I was never going to drink, and have stuck with that.
I feel the same way as you when it comes to alcohol and I have thought about not drinking it, but in my opinion, life is all about moderation and knowing your limits. Like you, I lead a very healthy lifestyle but I really enjoy a good glass of wine or dirty martini when out at a restaurant. I grew up in Montreal, where the legal drinking age is 18 and when I moved to the US for university, I noticed that there was significantly more emphasis put on drinking since it was prohibited.
Thank you for talking about this! I stopped drinking for the most part 15 years ago after having breast cancer. I used to spend all day at the country club playing tennis with my friends and that started to involve more and more drinking. Now I maybe drink 5 to 10 alcoholic drinks per YEAR, usually saved for special occasion and no more than one per occasion. But you’re asking if this is a trend in other parts of the country, and here in Dallas, Texas, no it is not. Waiters give you the eye roll when you don’t order alcohol (my husband doesn’t drink either), you don’t get invited to a lot of things because you don’t drink, so it’s been an adjustment. Also, when you tell people you don’t drink, they always think maybe you have an alcoholic past or something and if I tell them it’s just for health they think that’s even worse, lol. Thank you for being a great role model in this area!
I have similar hair to you and getting extensions (just 6 pairs of tape extensions for thickness, that need redoing every 6 weeks) have honestly made me feel a lot more confident about my hair. I get compliments on my hair all the time now but the extensions look so natural that no one has ever guessed that i have them, even my closest friends.
If you trust your stylist and that the extensions will be good quality, I would go for it. I would definitely recommend the tape extensions as they lie flat against your head/aren’t noticeable (as long as the colour matching is right of course).
It took a few appointments (each at the 6 week stage) before the placement of the extensions was “perfect” for how I style my hair but again if you trust your stylist you’ll get there!
My hair looking thicker has made it look longer too, which is a bonus ☺️
Thanks for sharing another coffee talk with us & addressing this topic!
Like many others in my younger days I could easily enjoy a bottle of wine and the next day just bounce back, but these days I have one glass and I feel it the next day. My partner doesn`t like to drink either as it is acidic to the body and we both really health conscious.
Every now & then we still enjoy a glass whilst dining out or when having a little barbeque at home. Definitely see the effects it has on my appearance the following day as my skin feels dehydrated not to mention feeling low on energy.. I then overcompensate by drinking plenty of water. Water that is high in alkalinity, saves the day! (Ph10)
That being said alcohol is no ones`s friend as acidity is the main culprit and cause of illnesses, and if wanting to enjoy it from time to time then taking on a moderate approach is vital to health & wellbeing!
On a different note Sanne.. please tell me which makeup eyeshadow you were using on your eyelids here?? You always look so radiant! 🤗🌸
Yeah I stopped drinking alcohol a few years ago! After partying and binge drinking for 10 years. My health took a toll and it just no longer served a purpose. After stopping drinking, I see how much people around me in my life abuse it in ways which saddens me. Alcohol culture is definitely interesting 😅 and I wish I started to question it sooner
I've had tapes for two years for fullness on a short bob. 1000 per cent a game changer. Its made my hair thicker because I'm not washing and styling and stressing about it anymore.
My OCD is kicking in. Girl you forgot the right side of your face to blend the bronzer on the temple and jaw lol still look gorgeous as always :) I've had extensions before the down side is you can't run your fingers through your hair and they feel a bit heavy. Maybe just a few would feel ok but I made the mistake of doing a full set. Also if you don't style it every day it doesn't blend in with your hair so you get that detached sort of look.
I saw that too of the bronzer on the right side of the face. 😊
Being British, I was raised in a drinking culture. I do have a glass wine most days with dinner but I am going to make a concerted effort to stop that. It has become an almost mindless act, habit. Time for it to go, or at least be much more mindful of it. Thank you Sanne, great coffee talk
I don’t drink at all because I take a lot of medicine because of epilepsy and I’m SO tired of contantly having to “defend” myself when out in public when there’s alcohol involved. Like ppl don’t understand you CAN have a great time without it!
Ugh! I’m so sorry you have to defend yourself like that… I agree, you can totally have an amazing time without alcohol being involved!
This video is so good you are so honest,i wish you all the best ❤
I have fine hair too. I put liquid biotin on my scalp when I get out of the shower and brush it through my hair. It makes my hair look really full.
Thank you Sanne for your thoughts on alcohol. I would love aa video about your evening routine. As it is something I have been trying to implement in my life recently

Loved this video! Such a great topic to talk about!
Off topic: What's your nail polish colour and brand in the video? Your nails look stunning!
I've had a non-existant relationship with alcohol all my life.
I always think of creative reasons to tell others why I don't drink - because I am always asked this question. 😂
I don't like the taste, is the reason why I dont like it. But when I tell everyone this, they respond with, "well maybe you haven't found something you like yet!"... and then they order so many varieties fir me to try. I don't think anyone understands except those who avoid alcohol for the same reason...
I prerfer only tea or water when I drink anything at all. For coffee/tea dates with friends, or a special treat, I'll opt for a cappuccino or matcha latte with a plant based milk.
I want to add, sometimes I've been hurt by not drinking alcohol, in the past..I would often not get invited out, because some found it awkward I wasn't joining in on the drinking. This has since improved as we've aged into our mid-late thirties. 😊😊
Hi ❤ can you talk about your experience in VS and your opinion on their come back? Im personally sooooo happy that VS is back 🪽🎀💖
Great topic! Well done!
I didn't start drinking until after I was 30, and even then just a little and not super regularly, I'm a one and done kind of person for the most part. Alcoholism runs in my family on both sides and has caused a lot of struggle and heartache for loved ones, not to mention health problems.
alcohol, i struggle a lot with it, i like drinking a bit to socialize but i don't like how i feel next day so it's better for me not to drink at all😅 and try the extensions, for longer hair too, You look beautiful in any way ❤
First comment! Love you sanne, you’re the best!! ✨🫶
Happy Saturday Sanne
I would like to see the Fall 🍁 in your neighborhood ❤
Yo no bebia casi in la
Gracias
I almost started day drinking one or two weeks in my life before I did stand-up comedy each night. I have a comedy friend who relapses a lot after trying to quit alcohol cold turkey by going hiking in Phoenix. Comedy shows cause him to drink and he ends up being carried out by a large woman after he gets plastered. It looks like a hard life. So I decided to not drink ever again except maybe 1-2 mixed drinks a year. I even used weed as a crutch for my comedy in 2020 when I did Zoom shows. Weed can be a great tool for writing or punching up jokes in between shows. I’m all Decaf coffee and mocktails over here.
I would love a realistic day in my life or Q&A
Thanks for God I’m Muslim so I don’t have any relations with alcohol , love u Sanne 🥰
