      Pumpkin and caramel. I love the pumpkin bars but the only recipe I've seen before had a dry vanilla cake mix baked I think on top of the pumpkin, I'd have to look. But I see now it's not even necessary to use that, and I'd rather not anyway! Thx!

    Very much for this recipe. I made it with a few substitutions instead of white sugar. I used a cup of maple syrup. I also made flax eggs. It is cooking right now.

    I’ve always used an entire 15 oz can for one loaf but I never thought it was too much. I’ll use less next time to compare.
    I made pumpkin bread just a short while ago and I used 12oz of melted butter instead of oil. I did notice a better flavor with this! I won’t use oil anymore. And I also used maple syrup instead of sugar.
    It’s very moist! 😋

      I used butter as well(half a cup). When i saw oil, i thought ewww, why oil and the worst one at that?? Glad i did, it was delicious!

      I have Celiac and thought my gf flour would work and it didn’t. It’s not self rising I guess so that was my fault. Many recipes I can just substitute my flour but this time it didn’t work😢

    Finally a great recipe explained well. Thank you so much .I just made one ,and I used the entire pumpkin can so it may not come out good. I wish I would have seen this recipe first.

      @@jackieonate3439 let me know how it turns out. If you want to use an entire can, just make two loaves. But it’s doable it one loaf too, for me it’s just too much pumpkin 🙈

    Not being harsh I love fresh pumpkin over canned. I guess I was spoiled as a kid. Home made pies cakes ect. The recipe sounds great. I will try this recipe come harvest time. It's 7/25 and my pumpkin patch is exploding. Can't wait! Yum!

    Thanks for the warning about not using a whole can for one loaf. Sometimes less is more!
    Favorite fall dessert? Either sweet potato pie or butternut squash pie. I know that the second is not very common, but it's amazing! I did a video on my channel about 2 years ago. I will be making it again for Thanksgiving, I think.

    Thank you for sharing your recipe. I only had half a can of pumpkin so I was looking for recipes that used just that and I found yours. The bread is currently baking in the oven. The only change that I did was make sure to use 3/4 cup of white sugar and 1/4 cup light brown sugar.

      Oh absolutely! I recently started using avocado oil for everything and it works great in the pumpkin bread but I haven’t tried it with butter yet

    My favorite pie nobody can make for some reason but it's sour cream and raisin pie they used to call them desperation pies during the Great depression. I have a 1962 Ladies home journal cookbook I waited for years for this book and my Mom finally gave it to me it's got so many unusual pies in it. I can't say I've tried them all but I've tried at least half of them.

      Definitely but I don’t think it will be sweet enough. I’m not a fan of super sweet things so this already has less sugar than most loaves. I say go for it!

    I’m going to make this right now! Thanks for sharing this simple recipe. I’ll be substituting for coconut oil instead of the “vegetable oil”, which is really a very unhealthy polyunsaturated fat. Healthy fats like butter, ghee, lard, bacon grease, olive oil, Avocado oil, and coconut oil are good for you and add great flavor to your dishes. Coconut oil is great in baking because of its light, naturally sweet, and nutty aromatic. Try it in your brownies, it’s a heavenly combo with the chocolate. 😊

      Yes definitely! It may have that olive oil smell, but that may just be me bc I feel like olive oil has a strong smell 🙈

    How can I do this an substitute baking powder? With my pancakes i use 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt together with 1teasp baking soda. … will this work?

    Very good recipe!
    I made it gluten free and vegan (swap eggs for chia seeds and used gluten free flour mixture) Ended up perfect! I would put a bit less sugar next time (Mine pumpkin purê was very sweet already )

      @@Snapright no, you can you all purpose. Just add another 1.5 tsp of baking powder (so 2 total) and 1/4 tsp salt :)

    I just made this right now and it was really good and the perfect size I didn't want to make a bunch of loaves as other recipes would have...however I tried to add a streusel topping but I used margarine so it didn't really crisp up like a butter streusel topping but it still came out really good I definitely will make this recipe again it was not too sweet or dense with pumpkin puree..instead with the amount u recommended..it was very light and it was moist🎉 ty put me in that holiday vibe hahah

    I just tried this bread recipe for the first time and it came out amazing. I changed half the amount of flour to chickpea flour as an experiment and it works great. Adds onto the nut flavor and a more crumbly texture. I also added chopped sunflower seeds, pepita's, and walnuts. Add in's are a must for me. Oh and I did use coconut nut oil instead of Vegetable oil, for those wondering if you can, yes you definitely can use coconut oil as a substitute. Thank you for sharing this recipe, I will absolutely make this again.
    P.s. I also planted the pumpkin seeds in the side of my house so we shall see how many pumpkins I get out of making this one bread. Free Pumpkins!

    Thank you Sarah but why not using fresh, pumpkin and making it with instead of using Can ? Your recipe is nice, but definitely use organic and fresh pumpkin.

      Oh I totally agree it would be even better! I'm just too lazy to clean it with my baby and toddler running around so I buy an organic can. I'll have to try it though :)
