When I was a little boy about 50 years ago my parents thought it would be a good idea to plant 2 acres of long neck pumpkins. A few hours a day I would carry long neck pumpkins. One over each shoulder. Back to the house. Momma was a prepper. We canned pumpkins for weeks.

For sure you can use fresh pumpkin to make pumpkin pie. However, I would roast it and make a pumpkin purée. That will be better than canned. You want the smooth texture of a puree for a pie.

That’s good how you could be able to grate your pumpkin, as you’ll usually do when you grate some cheese. Normally, cutting into pumpkins could be very dangerous, because they have really tough skins on the outside. So, it could be very easy to accidentally cut yourself. But, I also know that you could actually bake your pumpkins, and scoop out the pumpkins to get fresh purée.
I'm so happy you loved it! 💕 This recipe makes a 7 inch cake that's about 2 inches tall. I think the camera angle in the video makes the cake seem taller! You can absolutely double this recipe if you wish❤️

Not sure what went wrong. I made it right now and after 25min at 320F the batter was still mush. Took a total of 45 min baking time. Are you sure it is supposed to be 320 and not 350F? It was nice and moist in the end though that it does not need the icing.
Hi hun! My oven might be hotter than yours ( I have a small european oven). You can absolutely turn up the temperature to 350. I'm so happy you loved it!❤️

Yes I agree. Check your local supermarkets though, they usually sell some form of pre-cut pumpkin. Add it to your food processor and you're done 💕
