ItsFulez a lot of things from California say that they can cause cancer, like my table, it's just so that people who have cancer and that item can't sue the creators
that's only because products sold in California require that stupid label, you're not eating it and it's definitely safer than the 50 cent one made with no care who don't have to put that label on their products cause they're international. that label is on a lot of products, and it's kind of dumb because it's on way to many things now that it means nothing to the consumer
...yet the same people who over pay for devices that use sapphire screens cause 'marketing' will pay $ 55.00 for that screen protection even if the end result is still the same as that when using a $ 0.50 one.
Video starts at 8:00 if you want to cut the crap. If you want to know the results then all the screens crack including the sapphire protected one in the drop test.
@@visveshnarayan7964 Exactly, Sapphire scratch resistant is rated at 9 Diamond is at 10 Meanwhile Hardened steel (nails are usually not hardened) fall down at 6
110 duh! Why would you pay more for something that does the same thing. I'm always dropping my phone, so I just want something to protect my actual screen till I get a new one 🤷🏼♀️
This is why you need a decent case combined with a glass screen protector. Impacts against the corners or edges of your phone will destroy the screen, no matter what screen protector you use. The screen protector is more useful for preventing scratches to your main screen, as well as limited protection against direct screen impacts (which should be very rare if you have a decent case that has a lip on the front).
@@setalight7290 If the asphalt isn't flat enough, it can still hit the screen directly. So yes, I'd avoid dropping it on asphalt, but it'll still help greatly against corner or back impacts. Face impacts could still hit the ground directly due to asphalt's roughness.
@Yolo Flame That's also like saying when your car gets totalled you don't buy a new one, also I'm not rich or spoiled. When your phone breaks you need a new one right? So you just buy one and try to keep it in good condition
@Yolo Flame Yeah but you know how apple is with their crazy 600 dollar screen replacements. You might as well buy a new phone. (Also, I have a Pixel 3a not some iPhone X.)
Ethan Short exactly, it was the best choice from the beginning practically. He said he goes through them 2 to 3 a month at ,$1.50 a month, that's a lot of months before you get to$25, let alone $55!!!!
Yeah the edges tend to chip from general wear-and-tear but if you either don't care or don't mind switching it out every so often it's great. I personally use a matte film screen protector (Which I get for about £1 for a pack of 5) on top of a tempered glass one to try and protect the edges as well as reduce glare and fingerprints.
I'd use the cheapest one in combination with a good case, something foam based maybe. I've had a lot of luck with that combination on my old iPod Touch 4G. I had a Nerf case, and I kid you not, that iPod succeeded in hip height and head height drop tests without even getting scratched for two reasons. The first reason is because the case near the screen was a little higher than the level of the screen, so it kept the screen from hitting the ground. Second, if it had gotten scratched, it would have been the protector and not the actual screen.
Let's just say this, even if this will get lost in the comments... Everything is known by the state of California to cause cancer. Admit it. This comment blew up 😂😂. I'm shocked.
Nicken exactly. That's what I was thinking the whole time with the screw box, like, except for pure glass screen protectors, you're gonna see a couple scratches if you do something like that, it's meant to prolong the life of your screen, they're replaceable at a decent price for a reason lmao. and furthermore, a screen protector is only as good as the case as well, hand in hand a good screen protector and a case, you'll never break your phone as long as you replace it every time it does happen to break.
Dejrou Games they are designed to protect the phone but when it's coming down on concrete from head height without a case a screen protector isn't gonna be helping
the cheaper tempered glass protectors seem to be really fine for general use, they protect against scratches, and often absorb some impact damage, even if the protector itself is single-use, it still does it's job of protecting the screen
Great content. Eye opener. Thank you so much. And sorry for your phones. I tend to drop my phone ALOT. In fact I end up buying more than 2 phone a year. This year alone 4 phones. So I need to buy a screen protector that can help with the impact a bit..
You have clearly got the fake Sapphire screen protector. Real Sapphire screen proters shadders very easily and does not scratch. There is no way you can bend sapphire.
Since they are China made, maybe some things may be lost in translation. I think he said they were "Sapphire infused". Thus it is not 100% Sapphire only glass. I don't know why people put screen protectors unless you want to sell the phone later. Most smartphones have Gorillar glass which is pretty resistance to scratches unless you really try hard to scratch your screen or you live at the beach and you have sand in your pocket with your smartphone all the time.
Kyle Warburton i mean not really seeing as how they could have found absolute cheapest and thinnest glass and then the plastic one could be pretty thick and then sapphire is actually very very strong
He is also expecting a screen protector made for preventing scratches on the screen to protect the phone from a drop like a chock absorbing case. This guy is clearly a moron or he did that on purpose just to drum up attention.
Ramon Gonzalez it didn't crack under on the first drop it cracked on the edges where the screen protector wasn't covering those edges would usually be covered by a case so that wouldn't happen if he had a case on it the screen protector protected the screen like it was supposed to

The "bubbles that can't go away" are dirt. All you need to do is take off the screen protector and remove the dirt or dust. The only way I know this is because I tint cars for a living lol

I use a thick case with a good around the screen lip on my phone, and I use the cheap glass protectors. The case absorbs drops pretty well. My phone is exposed to a lot of dirt so the scratch resistance and feel of the glass is nice.

Thank you for your conclusion. I have long argued with my wife about this, but I don't have the budget to do the test like you. Man, you educated us so well. Keep up the work!
Sapphire my ass... Cheap ones work just fine, and if you really want to protect it, just use a kinda wallet case, not a screen protector, it will break, and you'll regret it...
Because the edges of the iPhone have curves, making a screen protector to curve with the edges would compromise its integrity and is very expensive to produce. So they only cover the flat portion.
EverythingApplePro I hate it so much that's how my iPhones get cracked the edges aren't protected this is why I'd rather android devices better durability in the screen and better fitting screen protectors
Jack Millar We also are NOT responsible for any slowing you make experience on previous generation iPhones... *We just want to admit that Samsung are better in almost every single way apart from emoji's.
Thing is, protectors need to be weaker than the glass so that it can absorb damage. Just like cars, engine area (front) is always weaker than the cabin area to absorb collisions.
ᴹᴬᴿᴷ The reason they are 50 is because they have free lifetime replacement. so yes I paid 50 dollars but I've used the replacement 5 times so in reality its like almost paying 10 bucks per protector. Plus if I use the warranty more I'm saving even more money. that's why it's 50 bucks.
Loved your video. No stammering or annoying music like most reviews. Thorough and fairly well shot. Well done! Personally, I hate screen protectors. But I guess they serve a purpose for the clumsy and careless.
yeah, the phone's glass is much stronger than the glass on these screen protector, still If you don't mind having it on your screen then the added protection, marginal or not, is nice.
When he said it was ridiculous that the $0.50 screen protector drop made the phone have chips on the side it made me feel that 1st of all what do expect from something so cheap 2nd of all it’s called a “Screen Protector” not a phone protector 3rd of all if your having a problem with anything that does not have to do with the screen getting damaged then look at all the people with phone cases and maybe learn to get one too
HYBECTIVE Right! Quantity>Quality One quality thing can last you so long, but with enough Quantity of something, it can be used to last as equally as the quality item (or more) and even be used to gather another quality item......
I love zagg screen protectors because of their warranty and protection tbh. I drop my phone all the time and they barely if ever crack. And when they do I can file a warranty claim with them, pay 5 for shipping and get a brand new one
I had a zaag screen protector on my galaxy s7 and I dropped it many times to the point where I litterly thought that the screen under the protector was cracked allso, to my surprise tho when I took it off my screen underneath was litterly like brand new no scratches nothing. My phone allso had a case on tho, so I think a case with a screen protecter is really the ultimate way to go. The phone with no case and just a screen protecter is ridiculous your just asking for it to crack the way he did the test on these is wrong, it's preety much like having no screen protector.
The screen protector is supposed to break by breaking it it takes the force of the drop and the energy and absorb it the energy and momentum is what breaks your screen in the event of a drop
lol you break multiple tempered glass protectors a month? I had mine on for over 6 months before it got cracked. also if you are doing scratch resistance get some hardness pics.
The screen protector might be better for scratch resistance rather than shatter resistance. Having a good case would help the shatter resistance by absorbing stuff like the face down and edge impacts,
So I have not officially used a screen protector of any kind since I got my iPhone 7 in 2016. I used that until I got my 8 in 2018, and again I have no screen protector installed. The phones are mint, not a single scratch to be found on either one of them. I take really good care of my phones so I dont need one, but it seems to shock a lot of people when I show them my phone and they realize I have no protector lol. I never, under any circumstances however, put my phone in my pocket. I use clean hands only when operating device. This explains why it's mint, when I'm doing something that requires me to put my phone in my pocket, I use alternative phone instead
I'm guessing, because everything causes cancer in CA... the snowflakes in the desert are hyper sensitive to the real world. But again, I'm just guessing.

Lol
Arturo Penuela
Ok 😂
Wow You have a sapphire ass
Sapphire my PC Gaming
Sapphire my ass... Cheap ones work just fine, and if you really want to protect it, just use a kinda wallet case, not a screen protector, it will break, and you'll regret it...
Who else thought that the screen protector would be yellow 😂
Pasha Soro me
Pasha Soro me😂
Me...

I don't understand why iPhone screen protectors are like that they don't go edge to edge it's stupid
Because the edges of the iPhone have curves, making a screen protector to curve with the edges would compromise its integrity and is very expensive to produce. So they only cover the flat portion.
EverythingApplePro I hate it so much that's how my iPhones get cracked the edges aren't protected this is why I'd rather android devices better durability in the screen and better fitting screen protectors
besides the Samsung edge phones
Jack Webber I more talking about the droid turbo 2 😂
Jack Webber and I mean those aren't bad they have better glass durability than a iPhone 😂
Honestly the only thing I don't like is the camera.
Also, The apple logo should be a flash light (led) which would be neat :)
PissedOffHoneyBadger There's a mod for that.
Apple: Sorry, that is classed as an accessory which will cost an extra $499 per device.
Jack Millar Lmao, too true.
No, Razer got a copyright on that
Jack Millar We also are NOT responsible for any slowing you make experience on previous generation iPhones...
*We just want to admit that Samsung are better in almost every single way apart from emoji's.
8:28 me going through the iphones of my friends
Everyone I know have phones with hella cracked screens. I drop my phone often but somehow, it still has the least amount of cracks from them all.
You should stack 100 .50. Cent protectors on an IPhone and see if it lives.
I don't care if it's cheap I just don't want my screen fucked up by my cat
Devin R Your cat can't fuck up your screen , unless his paws are dirty by sand or hars debree.
True
Devin R omg ikr
iPhone 7 vs iPhone 7 clone drop test.
Like if you agree.
Zaydin Carnahan I was going to like till I read 'Like if...'
Zaydin Carnahan Or maybe water test?
Zaydin Carnahan omg yes good idea!!!
Yessss
Ask and you shall receive, I will post a video with the brand new iPhone 7 clone and compare them!
Thing is, protectors need to be weaker than the glass so that it can absorb damage. Just like cars, engine area (front) is always weaker than the cabin area to absorb collisions.
nope
the car yes but not on the phone, prove it!
But the question is Can it prevent Note 7 from exploding?
Rana Area 99.99% chance
Rana Area
That's a different video. The S7 comes with a Explosive Proof Phone Diaper. The Apple version is called the iDiaper.
Rana Area don't try to be funny, you aren't.
I just buy the 10$ ones from amazon with the best reviews that work the same as the damn 50$ one
ᴹᴬᴿᴷ o
fffgh
ᴹᴬᴿᴷ The reason they are 50 is because they have free lifetime replacement. so yes I paid 50 dollars but I've used the replacement 5 times so in reality its like almost paying 10 bucks per protector. Plus if I use the warranty more I'm saving even more money. that's why it's 50 bucks.
ᴹᴬᴿᴷ OMG SAME TRY TECH ARMOR FUCKING AMAZING
I work at zagg and I approve this message
I use Nilkin glass protector on my iPhone for like 6$ and it's the bomb.
lmao ^^
I’m actually very impressed with this vid. It was engaging, to the point and not just another RUclipsr rambling on and on
Loved your video. No stammering or annoying music like most reviews. Thorough and fairly well shot. Well done! Personally, I hate screen protectors. But I guess they serve a purpose for the clumsy and careless.
And then theres me, using no screen protector or anything like that on my iPhone and I didn't even get a tiny scratch.
David Albrecht exactly .
It's not for scratch, it's for shatter
LOL I also have no screen protector or cover but I was climbing and my phone fell between the rocks now it has a few minor scratches haha
yeah, the phone's glass is much stronger than the glass on these screen protector, still If you don't mind having it on your screen then the added protection, marginal or not, is nice.
I'm stupid so I break one o the $.50 ones every couple weeks
This channel has so many more subs now. I subbed when he was at about 1k and last time I checked his channel, he had slightly more than 1.5 mil subs.
My $15 glass screen protector from Walmart does the job just fine
This is like that Buzzfeed food series but for tech!
TheGamingFireUltra and not as bad
hello Indian Tech Support i entered youtube and it said i got a virus! and it said to call 3w8574396837499658237563576 help me!!!!!
When he said it was ridiculous that the $0.50 screen protector drop made the phone have chips on the side it made me feel that 1st of all what do expect from something so cheap 2nd of all it’s called a “Screen Protector” not a phone protector 3rd of all if your having a problem with anything that does not have to do with the screen getting damaged then look at all the people with phone cases and maybe learn to get one too
I like how he goes feom 20$ to 25$ each time
TK Gaming ohhh
So he does!
Legends say that ApplePro still searches for the Sapphire and glass...
Thank you for doing this video! A $2 screen protecter saved me phone today😂
It's definitely not about price when it comes to these things!
Samuel Asche How did the iPhone brake itself If in the drop test that he did it doesn't ,even in a higher distance?
Yes, it is!
Jhonatas Igor - I have an otterbox commuter on my phone and the drop cracked the protector
Rather buy 110 $0.50 glass screen protectors instead of one damn screen protector
HYBECTIVE Right! Quantity>Quality
One quality thing can last you so long, but with enough Quantity of something, it can be used to last as equally as the quality item (or more) and even be used to gather another quality item......
HYBECTIVE right!
UNKNOWN SOURCE did you hear about something named jokes
RAWASY GAMES LOL yeah, I barely just caught the joke and it appears to be your english writing and sentence composition........
UNKNOWN SOURCE yeah , i'm sorry i'm arabian
When he was bending the expensive one I can imagine it snapping in half 😂
SMTPlayaNifera he tore it in half
2 years ago I bought a Sapphire screen protector my dad thought it was plastic and ripped it off.
Why did he do that just cause he thought it was plastic
@@techhelpportal7778 No it WAS plastic
When he said "a nice juicy one here... smear my oils all over it.." I was soooooo uncomfortable 😂😂
3:15 Close your eyes and listen
lmao
U GOSH
SKYLuka p
Lmao
SKYLuka Trninich omfg
SKYLuka Trninich OH MY GOD
Thanks. I will never buy another Zagg product again!
I love zagg screen protectors because of their warranty and protection tbh. I drop my phone all the time and they barely if ever crack. And when they do I can file a warranty claim with them, pay 5 for shipping and get a brand new one
I guess some people really enjoy wasting their money on obvious shite and being tricked. That's some next level masochism.
Anthony Valentine you we are just lucky . Anyway is good to know that most expensive is just a plastic.
I had mine on for over 6 months before it got cracked. also if you are doing scratch resistance get some hardness pics.
pullup188 I have tamper glass and a 16 buck case drop so many times for 1.5yr hasn’t crack since day one
pullup188 I use a new one every other month or so. I get the cheap ones.
I had a Zagg screen protector on my phone and my screen still managed to break when it fell from 2 feet.
obsessed with the way he says “protector” 😂
The screen protector might be better for scratch resistance rather than shatter resistance. Having a good case would help the shatter resistance by absorbing stuff like the face down and edge impacts,
It's not sapphire. It's plastic. Hold the "sapphire" one right over a flame and see what happens. It's a total scam.
Woah tempered screen protectors are only 25¢? Lol in my country they sell it as high as 8$
Bernard Beato well that's probably in store. Check eBay or AliExpress.
MCD0И4LD TЯUMP3T Yeah from aliexpress :)
aliwalyd3 lol Buy them from Aliexpress :)
for us its as high as $15
Bernard Beato $20 for a sheet of dogshit here

Billy Bob I probably won't remember you, but I liked the comment. XD
No no no your wrong. It only causes cancer in California. XD
goodman854
How?
I'm guessing, because everything causes cancer in CA... the snowflakes in the desert are hyper sensitive to the real world. But again, I'm just guessing.
