Great video. I love your Jim Green reviews. So far I have the Numzaan, African Ranger (with one more on order) and I just got the Razorbacks. I wasn’t sure if I would like the Razorback but since I saw your review on the AR8, and the Razorback is built on the same last, I decided to try it. Where has this boot been all my life? Fits me like it was made just for me. Now I must buy some AR8’s. I will be boot poor, but happy.
@@kennethdiehl9639 I also came across the AR8 by chance; wanted higher boots than the Razorback; are a good choice; However, I had a problem with the very flat toe box; more on that in the next AR8 video; but they are absolutely recommended
You don't break in Jim Green. Jim Green breaks in your feet. These are extremely hard and stiff. I oiled that boots every other day, for 2 weeks. 6 or 8 liberal coats of mink oil soaked into the leather and helped soften them a little. Then I applied Lincoln shoe polish. The first few times I wore them, was for short periods. Then gradually, I was able to to wear them for a few more hours. Eventually, I was able to wear them all day. Once broken in, they are great. Sizing is true to USA Brannock device. V-Tread "frog grip" soles are good enough for wearing in The City, on sidewalks, carpets, hardwood, tile, and marble floors.
You are totally right; I also applied leather balm and oil to make them softer; but that will only do for the outer layer; will take some time to get these comfy - but they will also last forever;
Breaking in these boots is brutal. After a few trips to the urgent care center to treat bleeding, discharge, blisters....... Use Lincoln Shoe Polish Tan. They buff out nicely.
Greetings from ireland, beautiful boots hope they serve you well,great channel, love your humour .
Greetings from Austria - happy that you could enjoy the video

Didn´t know these boots were that solid;
Just got my custom JG's in the bronco brown pull-up leather. It seems to be as rugged as the cape buffalo hide.
I´m shure they will serve you good!
