  • Welcome to Exercise For Health
Ever wanted to try out a martial art, but never felt confident enough to actually go along to an established class? Here is your chance to try Tae Kwon-Do in a follow along video. This short introduction is gentle, so should be manageable for most health issues except heart conditions or if you suffer from severe arthritis or joint pain.
Martial arts training can be a really effective way of exercising to achieve a goal such a weight loss, improving fitness, learning a new skill or just to have fun getting active. Millions of people of all ages across the world take part in these activities. There are so many martial arts ranging from harder styles like Karate and Jiu Jitsu to softer styles like Aikido and Tai Chi, so my advice is to find one you enjoy and with an instructor that can offer a good history of the art and their own training.

Such a nice and practical introduction. Brought me back to the beginning when I first started taekwondo over 20 years ago.

Awesome introduction! You must have been studying martial arts for a very long time to get to such a high level belt. I really miss doing martial arts. I did Judo for 10 years and Kyokushin Karate for 3 years. Being on blood thinning medication makes it difficult to spar but I still exercise and shadow box.

Thanks for this. I've been studying martial arts for nearly 40 years (Judo as a kid), then started Tae Kwon-Do 30 years ago in my teens and still practice and teach it today, and have also studied Kung Fu for 5 years. Martial arts is a passion of mine, and I think anyone of any age can participate in one they find they enjoy. Kyokushin is hard core .... respect to you!

I study Taekwondo and Shotokan karate.
Have also dabbled in Wing Chun and Kyokushin. I loved Kyokushin but my god it was tough!

Great lesson Sir! Excellent for senior beginners but also for advanced like me (2nd Dan TKDO) who want to restart after a long pause. Congratulations!

That's brilliant, well done. This was a very gentle introduction to it, so maybe I will follow up with another one that's a bit more challenging for experts like yourself.
