I recently organized my pantry and it’s honestly changed my life. Grocery shopping and cooking is so much more fun when you’re organized. I’m obsessed with your parent’s kitchen. Is it just me or do the ceilings look suuuper high? It looks so homey. Also, your editing was extra good in this video 💗🌱
The triangular "crackers" is Swedish crispbread, aka knäckebröd. Meant to be eaten with lots of toppings. Its just hard bread basically. Very shelf stable. Loooveed this video!
I just wanna say thank you - I started a new job right after I watched this video and decided to take on the project of reorganizing the copy room. I completely overhauled and reorganized everything for zero dollars by being resourceful and reasonable. I thought of your video and how it’s okay to use what you have and how things don’t have to be perfectly aesthetic to be helpful. Got major brownie points for reorganizing and now I know everything we have there 🎉 thanks Em
Loveee this video!! Appreciate that you updated after two weeks of using the new system too. More organizing / decluttering and/or pantry videos please!
I remember my sister trying to reorganize my dad's cupboards and Pantry and I just stayed the heck away from that venture. Old people get crazy about thier stuff 😅
Ughhhh! I loved this emily, so much more realistic and money concious. As a mid twenties something that has had to move back home, the urge to organise and improve functionality is so relatable 😂 (but also trying not to scare your mum with too much change 😂)
This was great for me. I’m redoing my pantry as well. Seems like a forever project. I just did my first spice draw!! Love it. And gained back a shelf in my cabinet. Beth B in Sarasota Florida
8:48 it's swedish crispbread! it's a staple food in the nordic countries. historically they were a cheaper alternative to bread as they have a much longer shelf life. a common way to eat it is with butter, some kind of deli meat or cheese, and slices of cucumber, paprika or tomatoes on top. :p
This is SO RELATABLE. JESUS. I reorg’d my mom’s bathroom cabinets two years ago when I was in town and she was out of town and she still texts me about an old ass expired ass mascara I threw away 😭 like girl!!!! You have money just buy a new mascara!! Lol
omg omg omg omg I just organized my parents kitchen(mine as well still live at home). Didnt buy anything but some utensil holders from dollar tree im so excited to watch this vid!!!!
I feel like this could really benefit with those stick-on battery lights (either sensor or just tap it) they come with multiples usually. Might help with seeing/using more. Love seeing organization methods that are realistic and not wasteful!
Thank you for posting this and inspiring to work on my pantry today. I started it over a week ago, lost steam and have been tripping over a pile of stuff on the kitchen floor since then.
Girl how’s it going? I hope it went so smoothly and now the only thing on your kitchen floor is a happy pet or a stray chocolate chip from the congratulatory cookies you deserve 👏
I did a huge pantry cleanup a couple of years ago and even filmed it, but never posted it. I have such a strangely-shaped pantry, it's very hard to organize! It's not a walk-in - just like a huge cupboard that is very deep and sort of triangular and has a huge vent pipe going through it on one side - UGH - so hard to organize! I ended up using a lot of metal mesh baskets, but they're still not ideal. My biggest tip though - I had so many boxes of various kinds of tea and they took up so much space and some would get shoved to the back and forgotten about for eternity.....I bought two clear flat-ish rectangular boxes (about the height of a tea bag) and took all the teas out of their boxes and put them in there. One box is for caffeinated tea, the other is herbal. The clear boxes stack on each other and they fit nicely in one of my smaller cupboards. I got most of my organization stuff at WalMart. They had a pretty good selection. I still have issues with my spices because I have so many and no good drawer for them and no space big enough on my wall for a giant spice rack. Especially now I have a roommate who loves buying duplicates of what we already have, lol.
I LOVE doing this to my mums pantry. She lives alone now and never really shook the mentality of providing for a family of 4. My dad is the opposite and his eaten foods are fresh on repeat but he did keep things that he was just blind to. last week I legit threw out remenants of bread crumbs that were 20 years old...he did however force me to put back 14 year old custard powder because it is unopened...small steps.
For things that don't fit or I've decanted into other things but I want to keep the instructions, I just cut that bit of the box off and keep it with the inside packet thing
Could the candy be use for baking- eg cookie mix-ins, brownie toppings, cake decorating and _then_ GIVEN away? Kind of a covert ops situation if no one will take them as is 😂 P.s. The lightbulb made a world of difference- not to detract from your amazing work! But it really highlighted it 🔦
“And now for the tea…” (I realized you did not mean juicy details like a full minute later but also I think the tea was don’t buy candy for people unless they ask for it explicitly 🍵😗)
Tip for removing Stickers: Take a hairdryer and warm up the sticker it should come off clean then. Otherwise usually glue is water or oil removable if water and soap doesnt work try a tissue and some oil 😊
I kind of do something like this for a living (in grocery stores, on a very large scale) we always make sure the cans touch each other to give more room for more product. Idk if that's not helpful here though lol
I went to my moms house and was making whipped cream so I tried to find powdered sugar. I found a bag it had expired in 2009. Found a second bag that had expired in 2014. 🤦♀️
I usually really enjoy your content Emily but I'll never understand why people throw away expired food I grew up poor, & still am so I'll only throw a sealed food item away if it doesn't look/smell/taste (regardless of the expiration date)
As an ocd kind of girl this was way too satisfying for me to watch 😂😂😂😂 nice job!! I hate when mums don't let you throw away stuff that clearly need to go 😅

love organizing content that uses no/minimal money. the before and after sound effects are premium. 😂
A busy lady who loves to provide. I think that is a lovely compliment to your mom, and I’m keeping it for myself, too😊
why is this literally so soothing - it's because it's so realistic.. and not full of buying new crap

Loooveed this video!
Also bumpin that
knäckebröd is so good. it's very cheap where I live too, so it's perfect for broke girlies like me 😼
i did eat them with toppings & they were so good & sturdy !
i love those breads
they are also very typical in denmark
i've shared some topping a while back on my youtube videos

This pantry corner reminds me of when I first started watching Your channel and me finding my favourite channel to watch. Thanks Em! ✨
I've just stumbled upon your channel, but wow what a breath of fresh air to see a realistic video and not the constant "buy! buy! buy!" 😩🙌

My Mom also has a hard time letting go of things, too. Kudos to your Mom for letting you help sort the pantry out. 💚🌟
I LOVE this. I need to do this for myself. I feel like a spice drawer must be an improvement. I will have to try that eventually.

I like how you always put emojis in the titles ❤️

Woah! Never been this early, let's goooo! Love your channel Emily!! 😁✌️
thank you ❣️🥲

im shocked by the insane amount of food in that pantry
i love ur vids boooots 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Good work. Would some simple, clear labels on shelves help users to find where things should go? 🥇
this itched my brain
nice
i wish i had a big pantry like this :((
i know it's gonna be so disappointing when i move out
I kind of do something like this for a living (in grocery stores, on a very large scale) we always make sure the cans touch each other to give more room for more product. Idk if that's not helpful here though lol
i would but because they don't fully fit on the can rack it ended up better a bit spaced out... when i find a better tier shelf i will adjust tho haha
I went to my moms house and was making whipped cream so I tried to find powdered sugar. I found a bag it had expired in 2009. Found a second bag that had expired in 2014. 🤦♀️
I remember that food coloring package from my childhood. I'm 40 years old.

Must have been stressful to do it! Great job😊
I love you ❤

You can remove the sticky stuff with rubbing alcohol

Plus the editing was brilliant 😂😂😂
Loved this video, organizing is so sexy to me 👀
I wish i could do it in my house but my cupboard is too deep 🥲
ugh i'm sorry i hate deep cupboards!
I love Ritual. Imma use your code my next re-subscribe. I tried c/o but I like 1 pill better.
awesome organizational work!!
do you have Goo Gone? using that for stickers and then hand sanitizer is great for those sticky labels and residue.
