Good work Josh!!! Drew is the man and has a great team. Absolutely nothing but good things to say about their attention to detail, build quality and most importantly in my book, customer service.can’t wait to see you try to break it.

Well listening to him clear his throat a thousand times payed off noticed he only needed to remove a few valve arms to do the re-torque. That’s a time saver
@@horsetorquesdiesel Yes sir! At least that's the plan (but you know how plans go). Current plan is for a clean 5-600 horse tow rig/7-800 horse daily, theoretically my planned set up should be able to flirt with 4 numbers when set to full derp. Basic plan is 6.7 (probably bored .20 over as the engine I got crapped out a valve on number 5) with 362/476 compounds, 100% overs, 12mm stroker, I Hamilton 226fm head (already have it, bought from pdd), wagler street fighters, as for pistons and girdle well I haven't decided yet. As for transmissions the current plan is to back it up with an Allison 6 speed. So all in all its going to take all my lunch money. Sorry for the long comment.
The best thing you can do with engine oil is just make sure you stick with the same stuff everytime, it's worse to use different brands everytime because they are all made differently and usually don't mix well. Even with my pull truck I use the same everytime. Shell Rotella haha I love it and I know a guy who has a hotshot company and he has 4 cummins trucks and two of them are second gens with a million on one and I believe around 850,000miles one the other second gen. :) but to each their own. I'd like to try to pdd oil and see how it handles hauling abuse for sure
Would firepunk be one of the 2 companies you're looking at for tuning? That's who I'm going to have tune mine. But mine doesn't have near the mods yours does, just a tow rig with an add a turbo kit and slightly bigger injectors
I went with a Northstar battery on my latest build. Check them out. They have a 65 rated and slightly smaller than that Odyssey. 5yr warranty too. I see that Steed speed. All day every day and even on a street truck? That might be my next purchase.
If your breaking in rings AND doing studs on the head.. Which one do you do first? I hear ring seating should happen almost immediately after first start.. But you also want a head retorque.
Just curious what is the thinking behind the hot re torque. I would think the torque should be checked a few times but if metal expands when it's hot why wouldn't you get a tighter clamping force if things were torqued cold when they are shrunk as small as they are going to be.
@@adamyork9652 not really. They want everything stock and lame, (I mean come on they consider changing an exhaust converting something into a race car, which they claim you aren't allowed to do with a streetcar) and they won't back down. I think we might end up like the old time hot rodders and figuring things out the hard way at home.

Do you need to do a hot re-torque on a original engine thats all stock internals if you install 625s? Or just do the 3 torque specs then put valve cover on and just go aboutyour day?

Not to mention I’ve been at events, and heard some BS from his workers. Slapped it on the dyno and clipped 1st place by a few hundred horsepower.
@@horsetorquesdiesel The exhaust is black asf on max effort. I have his automind programmer and his horn. Its limited to 110mph on the max effort. Love every second of it!! Congratulations!!
The extrude home of ddp injectors really lets them flow a lot with a smaller hole and that makes them a lot cleaner for the power than most.
Well listening to him clear his throat a thousand times payed off noticed he only needed to remove a few valve arms to do the re-torque. That’s a time saver
I was sick for about 2 weeks. My apologies. Yes when you do a hot retorque you only need to take off the intake arms.
Keep up the good work brother👍 I can't wait to see this thing make a number 🤘
Great to see it fire off so easy even cold! Can't wait to see the numbers it puts down. Love the street truck life.
Should be even better with some tuning
That truck is a whole new beast!!
That’s the goal for this year now we just have to get it dialed in.

Amsoil rules especially when you have a Amsoil dealer license and you get prices cheap. $80 for an oil change is better than $130 :)

CenPeCo is arguably one of the best oils for your engine. Ask Tony @ DHD how good it works, pretty sure you saw what happened at UCC............
If your breaking in rings AND doing studs on the head.. Which one do you do first? I hear ring seating should happen almost immediately after first start.. But you also want a head retorque.
That’s what the 5 min at 1800 then 15 min at 1800rpm are for. Gets the rings seating and then the engine hot enough for a retorque
If the battery voltage is low it will freeze and swell the plastic casing and damage internals
Awesome engine! Did u go with a Stage 3 head? Sounds rowdy man! Go my man!
Stage 3 yes sir’

Josh... ATS just dropped 2 videos today (3.18.21) on their Allison that is a direct replacement for the 68. Total turn key. What are your thoughts?
A built 68 > built Allison in a ram truck.
Nixon transmission
Randy’s transmission
CG transmission
Redhorse Motorsports
All build quality stuff
