You just made me feel so much better about my purchase. I didn’t want to purchase a super expensive vacuum but at the same time I didn’t want a piece of crap. I didn’t do much research on it before my purchase but I just knew it wasn’t the worst lol
As someone who owns one of the more expensive vacuums: 1) Buy on sale (I saved $130 on my vacuum during black friday, which definitely helps me justify the buy) and 2) It pays for itself in both time saved vacuuming (because it does such a better job), and the more expensive vacuums also have the "self cleaning brush rollers" (which work incredibly well). So all that time saved may not mean money in your pocket, but time is our most valuable resource.
I found that if you press on the gray pedal again after the first release from upright, it allows the vacuum to go lower when trying to get under furniture. Obviously not as good as a lift off canister, but I find I can get under the bed further. Great review, thank you!

ive noticed that with a sealed system (and daily vacuuming), my entire house just stays cleaner in general. I have actually started taking the bin outside to empty it, and my home is virtually dust free now. I havent cleaned my TV screens in over a year, have only dusted and done baseboards once. I (admittedly) used to sort of tune you out/skip ahead when you got into filtration stuff, but I will admit, it is absolutely worth it, and definitely a must-have.

Honesty, after switching to a vacuum with a "Sealed System" with a HEPA filter, I can never go back to an unsealed vacuum. I don't care how good of a value it is or how good of a vacuum it may be. Thanks for this review. I appreciated your mentioning its weight. I have an expensive Oreck that I bought years ago. I’m not that happy with it and find now that I’m senior it’s getting heavy and hard to use. This Bissel sounds like the perfect vacuum for an older person living on a fixed income. Added note - based on this review I went ahead and bought this vacuum and couldn't be happier. It's easy to use, even for someone w/ arthritis like me, and it does a great job. Much better than my expensive Oreck did. My rug looks like new - which is great for a rug that was bought used. I also like the attachments used with the hose that pulls away from the main vacuum. Again, that is helpful as I have trouble bending to clean baseboards and clean up spider webs, etc.
I have an older Dyson and I had a room mate who had this vacuum. And this vacuum was fantastic and almost better then my Dyson. This is a great vacuum for the price
Yes, it is a good vacuum, but NOT for the price. There are better options for not much more money than this, like the Hoover T Series bagless uprights.
I’ll continue to be somewhat of a snob. My only concern, other than the unsealed system, is the longevity of cheaper vacuums. I do have occasional issues with my vacuum, but every part is easily available, for a reasonable price.
This was a great review of the product. I didn't even know about the suction blocker light. That was definitely a gem. I actually bought this exact vacuum a few months ago and have loved it ever since. It is the best vacuum I've ever owned. My daughter's vacuum died on her a couple months ago and I told her what a great vacuum this was and she bought one too. The reason I found your review on RUclips was my daughter asked me how I was cleaning my vacuum filters and I decided to look for a video that gave me more in depth information than what I got from the manufacturer's video that told me how to clean the filters, etc. You didn't cover this subject but I did want to compliment you for the great review.
While Bissells are cheap and in my opinion aren’t built the best, they are good if you just got your first apartment or even a small mobile home. They do clean well for their price, and are fairly easy to maintain as their bins come pretty much completely apart.
How could people watch great reviews like this and not subscribe! I'm on my lunch break, have lots of options to watch on RUclips and the first one I pick is Vacuum wars. I just got a Shark DuoClean ZS36 the other week which is amazing, it was an upgrade to my Shark Rocket DeluxePro. Now I have my Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum (NV352), Miele Blue Star Canister Vacuum S514, and my Shark DeluxePro in storage since I love my Duoclean so much. My friends and family say I have a vacuum problem.
I really think you should do a harder deep clean test with a fluffier and or deeper carpet because if a lot of the vaccums do a 100 maybe there is still a difference in deep cleaning capability.
I'm definitely not a vacuum snob but who wants to spend good money on a piece of junks. Our vacuum just died yesterday so I went on the Khol's site to order something to clean my floors. I've bought $59 Dirt Devils in the past so I knew I wanted better quality than that. This Bissell Pet Vacuum was on sale for $106 and it had pretty good reviews. After listening to your expert assessment I feel really good about my purchase. Thanks.
I just ordered one of these. I have a Roomba robotic that I run everyday as I have a Labrador retriever that is a shedding machine but it can't get into small spaces well. So plan to use the Bissell to get into those difficult spots and to use for a quick cleaning when I know someone is coming over for a visit. This may not be a Cadillac of vacuums but it should handle my needs.
Just received mine today and found your video. I like it so far, I’m playing with adjustment heights for different levels of my carpets. It did so a great job. I have long hair and I needed something for that pick up. Worked well.
I picked this up yesterday at Target for $139. I needed a vacuum right away and considering there are 2 shedding dogs in the house gave this one a try even though I had not seen VACUUM WARS info on it, which I always like to see first. I think it does a good job, but I found it to be a bit heavy actually, but mine does have a "rewind" feature for the cord - which I don't really like and I believe contributes to the weight. I am glad to see that it gets a positive review here as I had to get something quickly, and used my previous learning from Vacuum Wars to make a decision at the store in an emergency! Thanks for the vids!
@@AnnnEXE it does pickup our pet hair well, but it would be better if it had a HEPA filter and maybe a slightly better seal for the dust bin. I still use it everyday after all this time so for the money it’s definitely worth it. If you have a bit larger budget, and are sensitive to dander/dust/etc., maybe get a HEPA filter vacuum.
Shark was the first vacuum I ever used that didn't send my allergies into a frenzy and cause me to choke when vacuuming. That was primarily one of the reasons I hardly vacuumed. Even though the Shark Rocket stick vacuum wasn't HEPA, the seal was enough to make the difference. Now I don't even consider a vacuum that isn't sealed, and will always gravitate towards HEPA as well. The Cleanview I have stopped being used after I got the Shark Rocket, and the one time I did use it for a super quick "let me see if this gets more than the Shark" I ended up coughing so much I had to go outside till the dust settled! That and I found the height adjusting was never very good.
same with me! every time i vacuumed, all the "leakage" would put me into a sneezing fit. got a basic shark navigator years ago that had hepa and have never went back (and never will)! i love not sneezing my lungs out with a waterfall coming out of my eyes anymore 😅

My parents literally just got me this vacuum a few days ago for an early xmas gift. I immediately looked on your channel to see if you reviewed it and couldn't find anything. Just used it earlier today and now I see you uploaded this video.. HAHA. It's definitely very great for its value and definitely beats my cordless Moosoo vacuum on my medium pile carpet..
I’ve noticed a lot of people throw out bissell powerforce vacuums I think there good for there price I’ve got a bissell powerforce bagged and I love it the machine cleans well and is easy to maintain
One con that's never caught is where that hose comes out from the vacume. Bissell puts it higher which causes it to pull the vacume over, often violently fast if there's high suction. I have many bruses around my spine to prove it. Aside from this major problem i would be happy with this vacume.
From 4:00, it is possible for the floorhead to stay in contact with the surface you are vacuuming, you just have to hold the grey part that keeps the canister up untill the canister is fully horizontal. I noticed this on my Bissell Powerlifter Swivel Rewind Vacuum before and since these 2 vacuums are relatively same in design, I just want to mention it.
I just bought this vacuum from Amazon. I have 2 Corgies and a Golden Retriever, which are super shedders because of their cotton undercoats and outer fur, AND a German Shorthaired pointer with hair that embeds itself in couches and carpet like silky needles. This vacuum gets it ALL. The ONLY things I would change would be making the hose being longer, or more stretchable, so I could reach higher up.
Thank you so much for your videos! I was seriously considering this vacuum but I am also a snob about the hepa filtration/seal. It's an absolute must in our asthma household. 😬
i recently got it. i have a lab and a cat, i also have a maltipoo who doesn’t shed at all but my other 2 animals so & i absolutely love it. 10/10 no complaints
I bought one type of like box damaged, from Amazon deal for only $72 well instead of $120 brand new, worth it just put in corner of your house for a handy cleanup really quick around the house and patio
I have this vacuum and the problem areas for me: I have had hair get in the belt melted the belt. Hair also wraps around the inside and you have to pull the drum to get it out. Lastly the wells are absolutely terrible on large area rugs
I have this and although it is great at picking up pet hair from carpet for a cheap vacuum, i think its too loud, and i noticed dust sitting on it after vacuuming. The air also seems stuffy after using it, id rather pay $50-$100 more for say the shark navigator zero m, which according to these videos also more powerful and just all around better... i only wish i found this channel sooner
I usually only ever bought the 50-60 dollar basic vacuums and finally splurged on this one bc it wasn't TOO expensive and it has honestly been my favorite vacuum I've owned in the last 15 years
I have 4 cats and a small house. This vacuum is awesome honestly. As he said if you put too much pressure on the spin brush it stops, but other then that it's wonderful for my house. I'm 5 ft. So the long attachments help me reach higher areas and my fans to vacuum. I will say the only hard part is cleaning the canister out, if you are forgetful like me and wait too long it's u ch a chore to clean it. But other than that I've had it for two years and it puts up with heavy hardwood floor vacuuming in a 1300 Sq ft house. Clean up sand from. Shoes and even horse pellets which I use as litter.
You are AWESOME!!! Great and very professional review. Not even the manufacturer do an evaluation like that (!!!!). It was delightful to watch your video and explanation
Dammit, I finally thought my search for an affordable, well performing vac was over, until I reached the end of your video. HEPA filtration (a vac that doesn't leak) and ability to vacuum under a table is a must. My search begins anew....
I recommend the Dyson Ball Animal 3. It has a sealed system with HEPA filtration, the brushroll is beltless and doesn't tangle, it has much better build quality, and it has a lot of suction power. I bought my Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra from QVC, and it works great!
I got to agree with this assessor on this particular model I didn't know where to set the level setting so when all else fails 12:00 or mid-setting is the right one and that is the one I always have been using since I bought it 3 years ago and it seemed to do the job on high carpet low carpet hardwood floors and linoleum but I wrestled with this pet and being 71 years old and not having the greatest back I don't enjoy that and when I did adjust the level and it was pushing itself but also pushing the dirt damn if that wasn't a disappointment!
I ❤ all of your test. As a mom of 3 tots, the only test missing is a year later after daily or weekly use how much do the number drop? Keep up the great work
Would love to see you review the self cleaning mopping robots. There are a few of them out on the market right now, most of which were released this year.
There are several reviews on Amazon that state that many of these vacuums got tangled with pet hair and CAUGHT ON FIRE. Instead of looking at the aggregate of reviews, I always look at some of the bad ones to see if there is a common thread. It is a big problem with reviews that some companies can pack the reviews with fake reviews so you should always look at the bad ones and determine how credible they are. Some of these bad reviews had photos and video to match.
@Frank Maggard exactly. When I visit my mom. I always deep clean her house and the outside. After all it’s still my home. She Owens this one and it picks up very well , and I always empty out after each use. It’s still like brand new.
Just switched from this vacuum to the shark apex duo clean zero M. Vacuuming up dog food on hard wood sucked! Sure I could adjust the height but I could also just have grabbed it with a broom. I like a vacuum that does it all with minimal effort. I had to pin dog food to the base board and ram it to get it. Owner of two dogs, floor got cleaned. But not that clean. Had to go over spots a few times. Don’t get me wrong. For the price point sure. But if you had a house with 90% hard wood and dogs shark all the way. I love my apex. Also, I found on carpet it required me to really push it to get it to move. Almost like it hated being on carpet [yes I tried all the different height adjustments. Medium mile carpet]
Very informative video. I have a Jack Russell Terrier and this dog sheds a ton of hair. I have a Dirt Devil vacuum, and it clogs easily where the hose comes into the canister on the backside with his fine hairs!! This video, and the great reviews of this Bissell vacuum made me order one from Walmart
I bought the Bissell 2692 and thought it had swivel but it doesn't. I do wish these were HEPA rated too. But this vacuum is 100x better than my Junk $60 Dirt Devil it replaced. I went out on a limb and bought it due to it being on sale and having a great experience with the Bissell Pro Heat 2x 15489. I still hope to get a Shark ICZ362H and a Ecovacs Deebot N8+ for black Friday in 2022. Hopefully those will be available at an even deeper discount next year.
I have this exact vacuum. We brought it because it was super cheap, we have two cats so we needed a vacuum that can pickup pet hair, and my family can’t afford a shark or dyson.
@@TheVacuumWizard I think it’s the Bissell Cleanview 2486 Which has similar design, though it doesn’t have swivel feature but has a Hepa filter. And a little cheaper too.
It doesn't. I had one of these and honestly, it was pretty good and inexpensive- for a bit. After cleaning it and cleaning it, the brush at the end of the head just snapped and stopped working. I realized it was my wife's hair just wrenched around the brush lol
I have a small battery powered vacuum, it's not really performing the way I'd like on area carpet in the house even though rest of the home is tile. After seeing this online and finding your review for it I was sold. Thanks for the metrics and thoughts on this vacuum, I think it will help me a lot.
This is one of those vacuums after a year or two the exterior of the vacuum is covered in fine dust(unless you regularly clean your vacuum) due to it being a unsealed, non-hepa unit.
This problem i experienced with the older model of this vacuum was it did not last last. after one year of use it was completely unusable. I took good care of it too.
Now I bought my Bissell Pet vacuum about 3 years ago so it's not exactly this model but in minute two of this 5-minute video it speaks exactly about on hard floors it is pushing the dirt around instead of vacuuming it up so maybe I'll get the answer in the next 3 minutes but if I don't if anybody has any suggestions other than that one issue on hard floors linoleum or low pile carpet I love this little "Sucker"lol 🤪😝🙄🤔
I’m unable to push my Bissell CleanView Pet 2252 vacuum forward on my Karastan deep pile carpet despite trying all five settings; the only way I can clean is by pulling it backward. Do you have any suggestions on how I might be able to vacuum in both directions? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
I love bissel vacs. I only buy bissel vacs I find they seem to last along time and they are affordable and they always do a good job. Mind you I take my vacuum’s apart and clean them all out wash all the filters and even the tank periodically so my cheap bissels have lasted me longer then some of the higher priced vaccums some people I know have.
Maybe I’m missing something. I have two of these one upstairs and go downstairs. The height adjustment doesn’t work on either one and these are not vacuums that have been heavily used Any suggestions? I’m about to pitch them both!
I just bought this vaccum today and was amazed right from the start. When I selected it, I thought...ok so what, a vaccum is a vaccum and nothing really different. Today I was proven wrong! This vaccum immediately began sucking up all the dog and cat hair instantaneously! I had to empty it 3 times bc it was so powerful. It's not real loud in my opinion co.pared to the one that died earlier today. The cord rewinder is not extremely powerful but it does the job fine. All in all I am very impressed with this vaccum and would give it 5 star review.
HEPA filter is critical your cleaning the floor and contaminating the air. Air is a more important thing to have clean than the floor since you breath air and you don't breath floor.

A year later, would you say anything has changed?
While Bissells are cheap and in my opinion aren’t built the best, they are good if you just got your first apartment or even a small mobile home. They do clean well for their price, and are fairly easy to maintain as their bins come pretty much completely apart.
You didn't give any better alternatives, so thanks for the advice I guess?
Just pulled the trigger on this vac based partially on your review. Thank you for the detailed review. Youre awesome!
I hope you really enjoy it! Thank you!
I was thinking the same thing
I wish there was someone like you for pool vacuums/robots
When you do a review, you really do a thorough review.Thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks.
we hope you enjoy it!
I usually don't click links that earn people money like this but i like you, nice video
Thank you so much for this review. I've been searching and searching for vacuums at all price points.
You're welcome! Glad to have helped!
Just received mine today and found your video. I like it so far, I’m playing with adjustment heights for different levels of my carpets. It did so a great job. I have long hair and I needed something for that pick up. Worked well.
Great to hear!
This or the Kenmore Featherlite Lift if you have pets and shag carpets?
I bought this last year and I'm so glad I did. It's a great vacuum!
Great to hear!
Eh, I have one upstairs without rewind. Same weight, and you begin to hate not having the rewind lol
I’m a lazy bum, I live the rewind feature
Thanks for the info! Does it do a good job picking up pet hair?
@@AnnnEXE it does pickup our pet hair well, but it would be better if it had a HEPA filter and maybe a slightly better seal for the dust bin. I still use it everyday after all this time so for the money it’s definitely worth it. If you have a bit larger budget, and are sensitive to dander/dust/etc., maybe get a HEPA filter vacuum.
Saw a few of these at my local TJ MAxx for 99.99, might stop by and see if one is still here!
What does this have to do with this Bissell?
@@renegirardi6624 And I quote - "The Cleanview I have stopped being used after I got the Shark Rocket, and the one time I did use it for a super quick "let me see if this gets more than the Shark" I ended up coughing so much I had to go outside till the dust settled! @@schlowe2003Extremely wordy.... But I read it several times and realized you were saying that you didn't like the performance of the Bissell. Got it.
@@renegirardi6624 your the kind of person who wonders why they have problems, you create them.
Wow, thank you so much for all the work you do to test these products so we know which vacuum is the best to buy.
Our pleasure!
That's awesome!
My mom asked me what I want for Christmas. This. This is what I want for Christmas.
Thank you for this great review!
Glad I could help!
I noticed this on my Bissell Powerlifter Swivel Rewind Vacuum before and since these 2 vacuums are relatively same in design, I just want to mention it.
you're not a snob you're just trying to keep us safe from breathing toxic air.
If this were cordless, I'd buy one today! And a couple as gifts!
Your content is of great value when it comes to vacuum shopping! Just amazing! Great work man!
Thank you!
So glad you are happy with it!
I’m not really in the market for a vacuum cleaner. These vids are just fun to watch.
Thanks!
Well you just saw me I just ordered it now. I've been looking all night and going crazy. So thank you for your help😃
I hope you are happy with it!
Bissell is my ISH!!!!!!!!! I stay keeping their vacuums and carpet cleaners! I don't mind cheap sometimes,I just need it to WORK lol
I usually only ever bought the 50-60 dollar basic vacuums and finally splurged on this one bc it wasn't TOO expensive and it has honestly been my favorite vacuum I've owned in the last 15 years
glad you are happy with it!
So glad you are happy with it! Thank you for sharing!
You are AWESOME!!! Great and very professional review. Not even the manufacturer do an evaluation like that (!!!!). It was delightful to watch your video and explanation
Wow, thank you!
Great value for the price! The CleanView Swivel Pet impresses with features and performance.
Lol I know I'm getting old when this is what I look up on RUclips, great video thanks
I have this model and love it, no complaints.
That's great to hear. Glad you are happy with it.
Glad it was helpful!
You can get it to lay down flat if you press the pedal again when it starts to lift up. It has 2 positions for tilting back.
Your totally right! Im super sorry I missed that.
@@VacuumWars Took ne years before I realized Bissell's could do that. It's all good!
Oh I didn't know that! ... Thanks!
I’m a kid under 12 and I love watching ur vids
That's great! Hello!
This was The best $100 i spent in a very long time. i have a Belgian Malinois that is always shedding and this vacuum does a great job for me.
Glad you are happy with it!
Is there a video how to use the wand attachment I’m not getting suction what could I be doing wrong? Thanked for any help!!
I have this exact vacuum. We brought it because it was super cheap, we have two cats so we needed a vacuum that can pickup pet hair, and my family can’t afford a shark or dyson.
I hope you are happy with it!
this vaccum but in the hepa option is pretty great, have you reviwed that one cant find it on here.
I haven't, but maybe that is a good idea...
What's it called??
@@jerrysmith8326 not sure of the exact name but it's the seivle rewind pet I think
@@TheVacuumWizard I think it’s the Bissell Cleanview 2486 Which has similar design, though it doesn’t have swivel feature but has a Hepa filter. And a little cheaper too.
It's marketed as a pet vacuum, yet no mention of how it handles hair tangles.
The attachments are tangle free and pet friendly. The attachments are designed for easy pet hair detangling.
Please told me what is the best wet and dry cordless cleaner. Thanks for you
I'm working on a video for that right now. I hope to have it complete next week.
Was in the process of trying to repair my Shark. Thanks!
You are the Vac' Ninja! Great video and demo, thanks 😎
why thank you very much!
Have you try the Febreze filter on that vacuum it may change the filter sealed con to pro
Very useful review. I needed this mainly for hard floors to pickup cat litter and hair.
Still the shark for me for best performance this year 👍
Ah my first ever bigger vacuum purchase besides a Eureka I have.
This problem i experienced with the older model of this vacuum was it did not last last. after one year of use it was completely unusable. I took good care of it too.
We are sorry to hear that. Thanks for chiming in.
I got the helix power for super cheap. Works awesome. Only have 1 room with carpet
Thank you for your review. I have a Dyson and I paid so much money for it and after a year, this vacuum is not working well at all.
Way to go!!!
Maybe I’m missing something. I have two of these one upstairs and go downstairs. The height adjustment doesn’t work on either one and these are not vacuums that have been heavily used Any suggestions? I’m about to pitch them both!
Wow it’s amazing how detailed the tests are. I gotta check out your other videos because I need a vacuum bad and I’m not trying to pay more than 300
I just bought this vaccum today and was amazed right from the start.
Hey @vacuumwars what's the cheapest sealed system hepa vacuum?
Yay, another Vacuum Wars video!
But do you think its good for pet hair? I would love to buy this affordable vacuum. Thanks
HEPA filter is critical your cleaning the floor and contaminating the air. Air is a more important thing to have clean than the floor since you breath air and you don't breath floor.
This is actually one of bissell’s decent vacuums the suction is actually decent I was surprised
