That is a cool kit and you're doing a good job on it. Keep up the good work Budd!
Thanks 👍
Very cool. Nice to hear such positive things about this kit. Can’t wait to build one.
Hi Luca, here’s an interesting idea, where the decal was accidentally glued. You could make it in to a diorama to have a spot where two of the race cars rub together going around a corner. It’s just a thought that hit me while watching the video.
Cheers Doug from Canada
Nice progress...looks like a great kit.
Nice kit
It sure is
Looking good, can't wait to see the final!...Luka you're making me want to get one of those kits! 😊
Great effort Luka! Please show us the final because it looks like it will be fantastic when it's finished!
I plan on it. This ain't over
Awesome looking Indy car Luka, Ron
Ambitious project for the timeframe. Props for that.
Thanks
Can't wait to see it finished. I'm definitely going to get one.
You will not be let down by this kit.
had so much fun as always Matt
For sure
It was looking good. I liked the non painted cleared plastic look. It really looked painted.
Thanks. And I didn't have that issue with not being able to slide the decal around.
C'mon Luka finish the kit
Not surprised!
Sorry about the kit 😢
It's all good. Still having fun.
Everything looks great so far! I can’t believe that’s not painted just clearcoat over plastic. It looks amazing. Man that is a lot of carbon fiber.
Thanks
Nice work so far. You need to get in touch with Jim and see how if he can get you the part you need, and the decal you messed up. I’m sure he will take care of you. Thanks for sharing.
Looks really nice without paint, the hiccups with it is just modelling , but I’m still looking forward to seeing you build it as I’m building McLaughlin’s car at the moment, also with Larson winning last night you have to finish it now :)
That's for sure
Was great hanging out with you in Discord. Looking forward to the finished project. (Sorry about that oops). Liked and subbed my friend!
@@timcarson8146 that was fun
don't feel bad , not finishing happens to all of us at one time or another Luka, Still a very beautiful kit. I'm still going to pick one up, but I'm definitely gonna have to save my milk money.... priceeeey! lol. Better luck next year.👍
From my time in building wood furniture. I found when using different products from similar or matching containers, I would wrap a wide rubber band around the area I was most likely to grab it for application. Helps keeping us from pronouncing the writing on Jason's (Blue-Ox's) hat. Love the build and please post updates.
That's a really good idea. Thanks
It is a great kit! I didn’t finish mine either. There is just so many decals, it takes 48 hours just to do that.
Hey, we're part of the "not finished" club lol. Still fun.
We might had not finished. But we sure had a heck of a lot of FUN!
@@TheLukaCeeChannel for sure!
It still turned out good. i'm in next year
So much fun
Good video. I have the Newgarden kit on the shelf, but I doubt I'll start it until the winter. I'm currently having more fun being outside. I hope that you post updates until the final reveal.
Tough luck on losing the wing part and the decal fiasco. Great build series. I had never even considered building an Indy Car kit but this one piqued my curiosity.
I love this kit so much. The decals alone would take me a week. Can you buy JRs kits without becoming a member? I sure wouldn't even try 48 hours unless l was on sports enhansing stuff. 😂 Looking forward to the final.
@@garyslentzii2796 oh yes. They sell them on thier website. salvinosjrmodels.com
Enjoyed watching your build get to this point. I have a question that I guess could help with your similar bottle problem: Is Tamiya Mark Set better than the Micro Sol, Micro Set products? I have used them for many years and always been satisfied.
I have Micro Sol and set. I like the Mark Fit better mostly because of the bottle and the applicator brush.
Looking great Matt, decal work looks spot on.. think someone else mentioned it but with the missing part and decal oopsie I'd think it would look cool with a tyre mark and a bit of light race wear. Looking forward to seeing it finished and glad you had such a good time with it all .. that's all that matters. Speak soon anyways! 🙂
Thanks John. You have got to get in on this next year.
This 48hr build has been an inspiration to look at one of these Salvinos JR Indy cars look like a very enjoyable build.
Bummed to hear about the bottle mix up I have joked about using mark fit for glue cause that’s just an oops and a simple smile, blowing the decal apart is no laughing matter - seriously feel for you bud.
Finish up this one and please share when complete.
Acrylic clear looks nice, have you any experience with Duplicolor clear? If so, what's your opinion? Enjoy the scale model podcast, great information
No I have not. I do know of a few people that have. It's been talked about on my Facebook group.
I thought that kit was a tall order Luka! Looking good! 😎👍
Not really. I just had too many things that took me away from the brnchthis weekend. I could had finished it on time if I spent more time on it over that 48 hours. I think I can have it done in about 2 or 3 hours of work time.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel Now that you mention it, you did say you had some commitments. That's a cool kit and I hope to see it finished. 😎👍
@@theintake8961 I'm working on it thus morning. It's a fun kit.
I know a guy that can get you one of those wing tips and the buggered decal. Happy birthday Felix!
Oh yeah? You must be someone pretty important then. 😁😉
@@TheLukaCeeChannel 🤣🤣🤣just a slightly bigger (fatter) guppy in a parking lot puddle
Hey Luka. This is the first time I watched one of your video's. Have to tell you something. I went to one of those IPMS shows this past weekend it was held at Havlock N.C. I took two models, my F4U Corsair and my Pontiac GTO. I entered them in their contest. When the judging came around and they had everyone wait to see if they won anything I waited. I did not win anything. Which was strange to me. So I went and took my models to my truck and talked to a guy outside and he told me if you are not a member of IPMS then you will not get judged and not get an award. The vendors were really cool. But I will NOT be taking any of my stuff there again. I just thought I would tell you this because I know your a member right?
I have never heard that one. I think that person gave you very incorrect information. I have not only won at IPMS regional shows without being a member. I have beem a judge at some not being a member. I'm not a member right now.
But you have to do what is best for you.
I'm picking up your bad habits, i was adding a decal and mixed up my dropper bottle of water with my extra thinner😮😅
Yeah thinner does not help your decals soften😂
Oh NO!!🥺
Ugh….Matt. I’ve done that myself with Tamiya glue.
I’ve also knocked an entire bottle onto a finished chassis.
Holy COW. Yep, to to roof I would go!
On the other hand, that is how a third of Dallaras look after any given race, only cleaner.
check in your pockets for your part.
😂
To me a lot of models that have real high gloss shine look out of scale
I agree in some cases.
The other week I lost the upper control arm for my next gen Camaro kit, tore apart the entire hobby room for it. Picked up my kit instructions sheets and found it underneath them. It was right under my nose the whole time……
That's usually how it works out. 😂
Well. I feel better now, that I didn't make it either. Lol
You know you’re famous for doing that.
Dude, its definitely not a failure!! Even if I did lose money on you AGAIN!! Lol jk. We got to hang out almost all weekend and build stuff, how does it get any better then that? I'll tell you it doesnt!!!
100% sorry you lost money but thank you for your faith in me. We know where Chuch stands. 😁😉😂
I give you an A for effort. Lol.
Thank you, Ron. 😁
