Not really because at least the Bad Cop option makes sense when Cole acts like a bipolar maniac, rather than Doubt which was what caused complaints on the original.
You don't need them for this system. There is no lasting damage over being a jerk or a nice guy. Truth means you believe them. Doubt means you're calling them a liar without proof. Lie is calling them a liar with proof. There is only 1 right answer, you don't need to know what he's going to say to know that they're lying or telling the truth.
I appreciate that you haven't sold out after all these years. I'm fairly new, but looking back I can see that you're a very respectable RUclipsr, which is very rare.
Would love Rockstar or someone else make another cool detective game like this. Too few games in the industry that focus on crime solving and crime fighting. Well other than the dark knight himself
Apologies Clarification. Xbox X and PS4 pro are 4k and PS4 normal are still 1080p sorry. So many systems. Summary good game. Also Team Bondi did not work at all on the remaster. I attempted to find out who but for some reason I can't find the dev team who did this in RS.
If they got it running at 60fps on PC i might touch it, but from the original release you had to mod it and 60fps made the car handle like the roads were covered in ice
This game holds a special place in my heart and will be nice to pick up and play through again until RDR2 takes over as my new r* game fix. (fuck GTA and it's shitty focus on online shark cards)
In a game focused around its state of the art, still-looks-better-than-what-they-do-now facial mocap, the graphics not relating to that weren't mind-blowing. But all anyone could talk about were how amazing the faces looked, it was foremost what the game was known for. Its easy enough to look up article receipts from the era.
me to. I am talking about the industry. I mean I may have liked it but it was never considered a looker by anyone working on games. The faceial cap is not connected to what I was talking about though
One of my favorite games ever, despite a few significant flaws. I think it really could have used another year in development. For all of its attention to detail, the world of LA Noire feels quite lifeless with NPCs just walking around on the sidewalk not interacting with anything. Still, the first playthrough of this game is one of the most unique experiences in gaming. I play it again every 2-3 years once I've forgotten the mission details. The Black Dahlia missions were very interesting. And yeah, I agree the dialogue system could have used some refinement. The "Bad Cop/Doubt" option would often result in hilarious, unexpected outbursts from Cole. I remember one case where Cole yelled at a 15 year-old girl and accused her of murdering her mother after I pressed Doubt. Then he carried on the rest of the dialogue like nothing had happened. I don't think that's quite what Team Bondi intended, but it was hilarious. Sometimes I would intentionally mess up interrogations just to see what would happen. I hope some developer makes a game like this again in the future. I don't think LA Noire sold that well, but its universally quite popular among those who have played it.
yea it has sort of a cult following, i think they could've added even just a lil bit more action sequences, especially following up after Red Dead Redemption. I think theres a reason Rockstar decided to remaster this before Red Dead 2 to kind of hint us at how the graphics and attention to detail red dead 2 is going to have but waaay better.
I agree. It is also one of my favorite games. I have to say, after watching films like Chinatown and L.A confidential (which I did a little after this game originally came out. I garnered a new found respect for it's look and art style. Personally, for the most part, I never liked how...colorful the game looked..it looked too bright..like over saturated and almost other worldly. but it was those two films especially which garnered me respect for what they were trying to do.Though I still do prefer playing the game in Black and White, makes it feel more real. I think the games greatest strengths..and weakness..is it feels like im walking on the set of those films (the police precinct especially looks completely lifted from L.A Confidential). and there is this tactile tone that just makes me want to delve into that world and explore. I agree with the comment that it could have used more time, it's a shame it didn't come out more recently, as it could have benefited from updating. The game still feels distant, like it treats you at arms length. I would have loved if they went further with the detective work..gave you more to look through, had even more case notes and more detective work.
I remember enjoying L.A Noire in a very chill kind of way. Just laying back on the sofa on an afternoon, sipping some coffee and just chilling. I've never liked a game like that before, when I enjoy a game I usually become obsessed for a time and then I grow sick at it. Not L.A Noire, it was a slow burner, a near perfect game for casual gaming.
The game that raised the fucking bar in terms of lip sync and facial animation (seriously I think it's great). too bad to have this level of quality your game wont have hair movement lol hence the hat wearing 24/7/short hairstyles.
jim hugh well the tech that went into the facial animations was a big reason Team Bondi went broke and shut down... but someone should really figure out hair lol
My favorite remaster that was *actually* a remaster is the Halo CE one... that was an amazing experience being able to switch between the old and the new on a whim...
This game is designed around 30fps due to motion capture being at 30fps. No wonder its locked at 30 on all platforms. They could've had an option to have cutscenes at 30fps and gameplay at 60 but I am guessing that the transition from 30 to 60 and vice versa would break immersion.
This game was gorgeous. Part of the allure and immersion that keeps this a personal fave. I played a yer after it dropped on 360 on a reg flat screen and was blown away by every scene and jazz song. Cant wait to pick this up today. Anybody that likes single player, great story, great writing, and the post WW2 era needs this game.
I don't know man. I would prefer watching L.A. Noire instead of playing it. The 1940s setting and superb story-line are perfect to be made for a TV show. I still don't understand why nobody ever wants to do TV show adaptations of video-games. Hell, it's even harder to understand how Hollywood fuck up video-game movies so badly.
Before anyone points out the upcoming Witcher Netflix TV show, Netflix only approves that because of the unprecedented success of Game of Thrones. It has nothing to do with the video-game itself.
Great game, can't believe I can play this: 1.)On a Nintendo console 2.) On the go. Just have to make some graphical compromises, but it seems worth it to me.
1. I love this game, despite its flaws. 2. I want Rockstar to make a GTA-style game in the Prohobition setting. Even better if they make us play for both sides. Sort of a mix of Untouchables and Once Upon a Time in America.
Played this on Xbox One when the backward compatibility was announced. I had gotten all the achievements and 100% the game from the 360 days but it was a treat just replaying it for fun! Happy more people get to experience it.
I never got a chance to beat this when it first came out... I'll give it a shot eventually but definately not for 40 (mainly because we've already seen the title before)
Would love to see Rockstar use the same facial mo cap in other games. I know it was supposedly very expensive and time consuming but by god does it look amazingly good.
I think this game is brilliant and I have since owning it on PS3, but I can’t stand the cutscenes after you’ve died once or twice or are replaying missions because you can’t skip them! Which I find stupid and frustrating. But I agree with all your points, great video!
I really enjoyed this game. Was one of my favorite 360 titles, but I never got around to the DLC. That being said, I’m glad they included it and I’m looking foward to playing it tomorrow! Good review as always Karak, keep up the good work 👌🏻
I don't understand why the hell they changed "Truth", "Doubt" and "Lie" to "Good Cop", "Bad Cop" and "Accuse". Those are worse options than the original. If anything, it should have been "Believe", "Press" and "Accuse". That said, it's almost a shame we've never had another game in the same vein since.
I always liked the graphics in this game. They went for a more realistic look as opposed to the 'hyper real' veneer that we so often see. The detailed interiors were often exquisite. The soundtrack puts most of Hollywood's present offerings to shame, there are tunes that actually have some melody, a hook that you can actually whistle to. I look forward to revisiting this & hope that we get a follow up where you play a kind of anti-hero private detective, replete with his flirtatious secretary.
I would buy it for switch for the ability to play handheld, but not for ps4 / xbox one. Doesn't look significantly better graphically imo, so I will just play my original copy on xbox 360. Basically the same feelings I had about the Skyrim remaster
I think it's admirable that you didn't just re-upload an old review, but actually made a whole new one from scratch; that takes time and effort and is deeply appreciated! My one and only concern with this video is that you only mention the improvements for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro; I would have liked to know the improvements for the regular Xbox One and PS4 in comparison to the last gen version. If there are any improvements at all or if it's just standard with a more solid framerate? It might even perform worse, but right now I have no clue. Given the price and the buy-rating, it's not a huge investment to make, but I still think it would have been good to know the performance on the regular versions. That being said, I still think you are the most thorough reviewer around today, and you deserve every praise!
this game was one of my favorites because I remember playing Dick Tracy on the NES and this is what I always wanted from a Detective game. the black and white filter was a great touch too.
Btw here’s a thought I had for something that might improve the drama and depth of these games - the controller should rumble but only briefly when something a character says strikes you as significant and you have to ‘catch’ that rumble by pressing X or whatever. It could happen multiple times, but if you miss one you won’t get that conversation dialogue tree back, and could miss clues stemming from that (cue way more branching narrative gameplay). Basically, inject some investigative adrenaline by putting the dialogue on a timer
I think everything about the game was pretty amazing. Except one. The dialogues. At first they were pretty accurate but then as they got more and more complicated the choises you were given gave you no hints of what your character is going to say. It was impossible to tell what Cole will say after you press a button. I was forced to play with a browser open which made all the investigation joy disappear. It was either a trow of the dice or a complete hold my hand walktrough.
I was very wary, wasn't sure if it was my type of game, but the game was on sale for $20 new at GS and I had $15 credit, and I do love Noire movies and books, so $5 didn't seem like a big deal, within 10-15 minutes of playing, I was loving it, mind you, I didn't notice the rating of "M" for mature on the back, so when I first heard the word "ass", I was surprised, Nintendo always had a thing against gore and other mature stuff, but when I started hear "F**K, F**K, F**KETTY, F**K, F**K !!!" coming out of the drill sergeant's mouth, I burst out laughing, this game threw me off, it is somewhat slower paced, but very in depth so you don't really notice it, language aside, it's not really over done, it flows well with how those types of that period spoke, much of everything is just so authentic looking and feeling, it's very additive, I notice several of the voice actors were from the show "Mad Men", and the facial expressions are awesomely rendered, as if they digitized the actors themselves
Mad Men L.A. Noire should be the title since theirs 5 people from Mad Men in the game, more maybe lol. I read that the same casting company who did Mad Men did this game and that's why theirs so many. Cole Phelps being Ken Cosgrove from Mad Men is really the kicker.
Bought it in 2012 and I really liked it. The facial animation technology is still second to none today (because it's so expensive to produce) and makes perfect sense for such a game. The story is good and it connects the pieces in a way you wouldn't expect. It goes without saying but you should play the game without any walkthroughs.
Got through most of the Traffic desk, and whoa, the sounds are wonky. Don’t remember them being so *off* in the PS3 version. It’s generally louder, and the voiceovers sound like, well, voiceovers. Cars are too quiet and what’s up with the ambient sounds that were added? The bizarre swish sound and the tire screech loops are intolerable. Ouch. The photo mode is cool, though. Oh and hey, the Patrol uniform is accessible outside the Patrol desk!
I remember when I wasn't used to Karak's straight up attitude but as time went on I realized he is so trustworthy. A true servant of the gaming industry.
I've always wanted to play this game. was going to play it when it came out on old gen but my system was smashed. I think I might wait a bit before I get it but I'm definitely looking foward to picking it up 😄
I just came across this game the other day, and yours was the first and only review I have watched about the game. I am totally sold! Going back tomorrow to purchase it. Also, while watching with my husband, at the same time, we both exclaimed that it was the best video game review we have ever seen (Husband is a semi-avid gamer, and I am a far more casual gamer). Subscribing to your channel now! Thanks for the great review!!
Awesome review, and I need to pick this up. For some odd reason, I didn't play it when it was first released. I enjoyed all the Police Quest games from Sierra over the years, so this sounds like it's right up my alley. Now I have to decide between the PS4 or Switch.
I liked this game when it came out but not so much now. The Sherlock Holmes games are better at what L.A noire tried to do. Also I don't consider it a rockstar game because rockstar only published it and team bondi developed it.
This was an awesome review. I love the way that you really dig into the technical and gameplay details that other reviewers completely neglect. ACG might be the only source for good criticism on video games. Other sources analyze games either on a level that equates to "game iz gud" or from a neo third wave cultural Marxist feminist etc. perspective.
I just got this for the Nintendo Switch. I will say it runs smoothly in portable mode making it a better choice for on the go then docked. My only problem is the controls on the joys sticks as the don't feel great. If you have a switch buy it for that its a little cheaper and is far my favourite game for gaming on the go. Hopefully Nintendo will get some more great ports like this.
I somehow had overlooked this one. Never played L.A. Noire. Then again I am a Franchise gamer but the few first/Franchiseless games I have gotten without a sequel yet have been quite good (notably Horizon Zero Dawn and Mad Max. Heard great things (really nothing but great things) about this one so I may well pick it up. Great review once again.
Game looks so fantastic on Switch. Full 1080p and full 720p handheld. Runs solid, love the motion controls and touchscreen support and HD Rumble... and playing this game on the go is just incredible! Will grab for X1X later in a sale just to have it in 4K. But just 1080p on Switch upscaled to 4K by my TV looks plenty good enough. Handheld though, goodness it looks good.
I liked this game but i always had difficulty figuring out if someone was lying or not. I will definitely be picking this up again. I hope Rockstar throws a patch in on day one. This game deserves to look its best.
That was one of the best looking PS3/XBOX360 games that where on the systems. I am glad it is getting a remastered treatment.. Gives me a chance to play it again. I never actually finished it!
LA Noire was the only game I could think of where on the faces the textures became sharper the further away from the screen they were and more blurred the closer they came.
Yeah in a “remake” they would rebuild it from the ground up. Idk I expected better graphics as well, I think it’s the old engine used that’s holding it back
this is why consoles are a scam. too many remasters. barely any remakes. they make the console non backwards compatible so they can milk the shit outta their community. dont buy consoles.
The writing and story was written and created by Brendan McNamara, and also directed by the game. He was also responsible for The Getaway. He needs the most credit.
10:54 That's hilarious when you pause and stop to consider that the story for most Rockstar games ranges from awful to hit and miss and mostly miss, ESPECIALLY in the GTA series. XD
Had this originally on xbox 360, happily recieved my copy again now on the switch, the purchase feels justifiable enough just to have it all on one cartidge (as opposed to the 3 discs on my dying 360). Aswell as having a portable version with the switch.
The game reminds me so much of the first Mafia. The city it self is huge but most you do is drive around. This immerses you in the world incredibly well tho.
Awesome review as always. I've never played this game on the last gen PlayStation so I will pick this up. Thank you again for the excellent work you do
I love these reviews bro they are almost poetic in tone and work perfectly to convey the games on review but i feel like on recent ones you go out of your way to point out insignificant faults in order to use that poetic style. This is a port made from and for 6 year old tech its not pretending to be a new game with that in mind many of your points fall flat on their face. I loved it on xbox 360 so much that im playing it on the switch now.
ACG, my burning question is: are all of the vehicles' top speeds still limited to 85mph? That was how it was on the 360 version of the game. One of the hidden vehicles, the Tucker Torpedo's top speed was reportedly 120mph and I couldn't get anywhere near it.
See, I have a good PC, PS4 pro, Switch and recently upgraded to an Xbox One X. I think it would be most interesting to play on Switch because the textures are from Xbox 360/ps3 times and I think it would look better on a smaller screen or dock it to a 1080p monitor. A masterpiece like this on the go is phenomenal so I'll be sure to get this on the Switch. 4K isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
Love this game... I recommend you play this at night, 1 case at a time do not rush through it... Play it like a T.V series and you will love it
Jstreet serious?
Jstreet yes I played it like that and I rushed through it aswell but playing a case at a time takes the win by far amazing game
Facts
best way to play a game
completely agree its a fantastic game
Good Cop, Bad Cop, and accuse are horrible choice texts. I much prefer the Truth, Doubt, and Lie choices in the original.
I may agree
Not really because at least the Bad Cop option makes sense when Cole acts like a bipolar maniac, rather than Doubt which was what caused complaints on the original.
i know, they made it fuckin worse!
You don't need them for this system. There is no lasting damage over being a jerk or a nice guy. Truth means you believe them. Doubt means you're calling them a liar without proof. Lie is calling them a liar with proof. There is only 1 right answer, you don't need to know what he's going to say to know that they're lying or telling the truth.
that just made cole seem funny
La noire is not a game. Its an experience.
Aamir A fantastic and unique experience. Shame there are bery few games with this kind of level of detail and immersion.
Aamir 👍 👍
I appreciate that you haven't sold out after all these years. I'm fairly new, but looking back I can see that you're a very respectable RUclipsr, which is very rare.
thanks
And its a rare quality in reviewers and youtubers these days. Jeremy is old school and honest man.
Yes, and he's also handsome... You forgot to mention that as well.
DaBaws24 this game was great for ps3
Would love Rockstar or someone else make another cool detective game like this. Too few games in the industry that focus on crime solving and crime fighting. Well other than the dark knight himself
Justb_ don't forget about heavy rain.
play batman arkham knight
Justb_ Play Judgment!
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments
Apologies Clarification. Xbox X and PS4 pro are 4k and PS4 normal are still 1080p sorry. So many systems.
Summary good game.
Also Team Bondi did not work at all on the remaster. I attempted to find out who but for some reason I can't find the dev team who did this in RS.
Been seeing videos of ps4 pro running L.A.N at 1080 60 fps, is this true?
If they got it running at 60fps on PC i might touch it, but from the original release you had to mod it and 60fps made the car handle like the roads were covered in ice
Are you Gonna tell me why you never reviewed Bloodborne?
Damn, only 1080p and not 4k? I'm not buying now.
Said nobody in 2017.
Jonathan Heckler nope. Game can't run at 60fps. And it's checkerboarded on the pro, native on X.
This game holds a special place in my heart and will be nice to pick up and play through again until RDR2 takes over as my new r* game fix. (fuck GTA and it's shitty focus on online shark cards)
Cruxal Same here
Oh red dead will have the same cards. It’s made gta literally a billion
Cruxal Do you honestly think that RDR2 won't have a shark card equivalent?
Cruxal they’ve pretty much confirmed the micro transactions in RDR2
Cruxal Agreed, hope they make a sequel one day.
Still the best facial animations ever.
SavageKarl uncharted 4 says hi
Have you ever played a naughty dog game?
Not better than andromedas.
Nah, uncharted 4 has it beat
Hold my beer- Injustice 2
One of the most criminally underrated games of all time.
john iorio i love the game
john iorio what? This game sold very well.
Is that your Camaro? Anyway STEAM has it for a few bucks tempted to buy it.
Is the remastered ver. out for PC?
john iorio its shit
Did he really just say LA Noir was never a looker??? I have to disagree. But that's okay you are still my favorite reviewer of course
ya it was never ever considered a looker. As I said in the video though there were some good parts

oh dear lol.

You are my most trusted RUclips game reviewer. Keep up the great work!
ehh maybe subscribe..

best part
I must say that line is the one which made me subscribe. Also spaceballs reference!
Clay Davis sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeht

A resolution boost isnt a remaster why don't companies get that
chocolate thunder it's a marketing ploy
yeah this is just a port and not a remaster
My favorite remaster that was *actually* a remaster is the Halo CE one... that was an amazing experience being able to switch between the old and the new on a whim...
Lucas Cyr now thats a remaster
Actually thats exactly what a remaster is. you're thinking of a remake.
How someone can dislike a video without sponsored bullcrap is beyond me !
Played this on PC a few years back with the 60fps mod. Loved the game, thought it was fun and unique. Great review!
Too bad the driving feels really off with the 60fps mod.
I roll a Stoney. What?
yeah the game physics go weird if you go over the 30 fps cap
This game is designed around 30fps due to motion capture being at 30fps. No wonder its locked at 30 on all platforms. They could've had an option to have cutscenes at 30fps and gameplay at 60 but I am guessing that the transition from 30 to 60 and vice versa would break immersion.
The combat in this game was top notch. Still feels so much better then even GTA. Idk why but the gun mechanics felt so realistic
This game was gorgeous. Part of the allure and immersion that keeps this a personal fave. I played a yer after it dropped on 360 on a reg flat screen and was blown away by every scene and jazz song. Watch L.A. Confidential. It's basically the same thing.
Finnish Cold I don't think I can second a statement more. Phenomenal movie
Or watch Mindhunter. It's on Netflix.
Great game, can't believe I can play this: 1.)On a Nintendo console
2.) On the go.
Just have to make some graphical compromises, but it seems worth it to me.
They all look the same graphically... Except resolution...
PGnumbaONE oh really? sweet, I wasn't entirely sure.
No the PS4 and Xbox got a remastered edition, the switch is the original version with motion controls.
Not Andrew
no it isn't 😂. Where did you get that from? !
the graphics arent that great anyways
This was the first Xbox 360 game my wife ever beat, so she’s been pestering me to buy it for her on the Xbox One lol
Fort Worth Raised my girl loved this shit too!!! It’s the whole detective thing man lol
Fort Worth Raised haha
1. I love this game, despite its flaws.
2. I want Rockstar to make a GTA-style game in the Prohobition setting. Even better if they make us play for both sides. Sort of a mix of Untouchables and Once Upon a Time in America.
Whatever man.. But that face capture shit is fucking fantastic.. Wow
Got it for $20 brand new at gamestop, figured I would watch this while it takes an eternity to install
Played this on Xbox One when the backward compatibility was announced. I had gotten all the achievements and 100% the game from the 360 days but it was a treat just replaying it for fun! Happy more people get to experience it.
First minute in and I hear "L.A. Noire was never a looker..". What? This game looked gorgeous when it came out.
ceracen 👍 👍
I loved this and Bully (Canis Canem Edit). To be honest I wish they'd remaster Bully.
I'd rather see a sequel. To this and Bully
I never got a chance to beat this when it first came out... I'll give it a shot eventually but definately not for 40 (mainly because we've already seen the title before)
Negro UnChained Tru, I had the game an lost it, more thn likely stolen lol, ill by it again black Friday better b half price
As always the best game reviews on RUclips. I’m picking this up on Switch. Thanks ACG
You’ve really came a long way man. I remember checking out your AC syndicate review and subscribing because of how in depth your reviews are
thanks
This is nothing like Bully. Bully is more like red dead than this..
DLAROC bully is more like gta than Any other rockstar game
I love this game the first time around I know I’m going to enjoy it again 👍🏻
snake eyes great game
Would love to see Rockstar use the same facial mo cap in other games. I know it was supposedly very expensive and time consuming but by god does it look amazingly good.

But I agree with all your points, great video!
I really enjoyed this game. Was one of my favorite 360 titles, but I never got around to the DLC. That being said, I’m glad they included it and I’m looking foward to playing it tomorrow!
Good review as always Karak, keep up the good work 👌🏻
OVERLOAD24 the weed dlc was great, reefer madness I think it was called
I don't understand why the hell they changed "Truth", "Doubt" and "Lie" to "Good Cop", "Bad Cop" and "Accuse". Those are worse options than the original. If anything, it should have been "Believe", "Press" and "Accuse".
That said, it's almost a shame we've never had another game in the same vein since.
Going to buy it no matter what
I always liked the graphics in this game.
This game will be on sale at $19 or less when PS4 and Xbox does there holiday digital sales. $39 is a bit high for this outdated title.
I just got it this morning brand new in Asda for £5!
Got it for 20$
I’m going out and buying this the first chance I get, for sure. Never played it. Heard great things. Thanks for informing my decision.
3:36... And 5 additional DLC cases not in the original release. It's beyond me why those cases are DLC originally.
I really hope Rockstar will make a second version of this game and soon!
I just bought it and idgaf if its in 4k, bcuz this was an amazing experience for me... Petition for LA Noire 2👍✌
LA New Warrr?
MonkDave666 I was about to mentioned it... 😂
MonkDave666 That's how you pronounce "noire".
I absolutely loved this game when I first played it! I’ll probably buy the remastered version. Great review as always AKG!
Subscribed. I'm not usually a fan of longer videos, but I love your reviews. Keep up the good work!
The actual game was developed by Team Bondi and probably the main reason why the game world feels so much different. Great review as always.
this game was one of my favorites because I remember playing Dick Tracy on the NES and this is what I always wanted from a Detective game. the black and white filter was a great touch too.
I have an issue, I bought this at 12:30 am, 23/11/17 and binge-played the game, finishing it on sunday 27/11/17.I don't know what to do with myself
I could have sworn I was playing this on my old PS4. Time does fly by! Also excellent review :)
I enjoyed the game, it is truly amazing to the detail, they could have work on the free roam in traffic cases more
Why don't more people use motion capture for face animations? This game is 6 years old and nothing comes close to it in that category even today
I've always wanted to play this game. was going to play it when it came out on old gen but my system was smashed. I think I might wait a bit before I get it but I'm definitely looking foward to picking it up 😄
David R It's fantastic. The story line and atmosphere are amazing.
Other sources analyze games either on a level that equates to "game iz gud" or from a neo third wave cultural Marxist feminist etc. perspective.
thanks
" neo third wave cultural Marxist feminist etc. perspective."
Wow, they got you good huh? That's like alt-right gamer bingo.
Jam Dev If he said "SJW" and "snowflake" as well he'd have won the bingo
I finally beat it yesterday. I loved it, but the arson desk felt really rushed.
Sean Vincent I wanted them to port GTA 5 or Rdr or gta 4
I thinks its wrong to see it as an open world game, the adventure genre fits a whole lot better
I would love a remake of Mafia 1.
Karak, I am surprised that u didn't review COD: WW II.
However, I am still a subscriber to your channel. Keep up the good work, homie.
"North Korea and MMO's have rocky launches". Best line I've heard in your reviews and this game is amazing!!!
I liked this game but i always had difficulty figuring out if someone was lying or not. I will definitely be picking this up again. I hope Rockstar throws a patch in on day one. This game deserves to look its best.
Man, I loved this game back in the day! Looks like it's worth another pick up.
Hoping that this will go on sale digitally for Xbox. Been wanting to play this for years....
greenwaveboi same but it already is $40 starting out which isn’t that bad
greenwaveboi It's already on sale and not full price.
If you've literally been waiting for years, why not just buy it now?
After I finish my backlog (I restrict myself to 15 games at a time), this is definitely will be in it.
Good review as always!
When will we get a WWII review?
So remasters are just playing at a higher resolution/framerate? What happened to actually doing something other than porting
NebulousIdea " remaster" that's the key word.
Yeah in a “remake” they would rebuild it from the ground up. Idk I expected better graphics as well, I think it’s the old engine used that’s holding it back
NebulousIdea Theres a difference between a remaster and a remake.
this is why consoles are a scam. too many remasters. barely any remakes. they make the console non backwards compatible so they can milk the shit outta their community. dont buy consoles.
The writing and story was written and created by Brendan McNamara, and also directed by the game. He was also responsible for The Getaway. He needs the most credit.

That's hilarious when you pause and stop to consider that the story for most Rockstar games ranges from awful to hit and miss and mostly miss, ESPECIALLY in the GTA series. XD
Thanks Karak, never played this on my main platform, PC, but based on your review just bought it for Switch.
Predicting GTA 6 will be about a cop. You heard it here first.
I may actually buy it if this happens, love this idea!
You're for me the best reviewer, very clear and very articulate. Great job. Any thoughts about NFS and Call Of Duty WW2?
Gonna play the VR version with my vive!! Can’t wait :)
Not a looker? I remember thinking the game looked amazing and it still holds up nicely today
Xbox is having a big sale and I wanted to know if La Noire for only 20$ is worth it or not so thank you so much for this review
If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360, buy it for that. If not, wait for a sale on the remastered one. Don’t pay €40 for a 6 year old game.
