Hey bud! I struggled with trying to get the air out of my cooling system for at least 4 hours! Nothing worked until I watched your video! 2000 Celica. I've been a professional mechanic for 50 years, and couldn't figure it out! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Cheers Brother!
@@RafasGaragehey man idk if you’re gonna see this but I just opened my bleed valve before watching this video and the coolant went down quite a bit in that area. Am I going to have to bleed it again because of that like you said?
I tried all that I could but nothing seems to be purging the remaining air out of the system. I’m not sure where the it’s trapped but would someone be able to help? I recently replaced the thermostat (I made sure it actually worked, & then made sure to install the correct way). Did this procedure (minus elevating the coolant reservoir). I was able to massage lower hose until I didn’t hear any air. However can’t reach the upper hose due to other stuff being in the way. The reservoir on the breather cap side is half full, & I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be completely full but can’t seem to get the system to refill it on it’s own. Any tips? I also warmed up the engine to open the thermostat and then drove on an incline. After letting it cool down I was able to get some more coolant in, but I can tell it’s still not at max capacity (it overheats). Please someone help. I am so new to DIY cars and it’s daunting doing everything myself as a 21 yr old female. I’ve already spent a lot at shops fixing other things and this is supposed to be simple but I can’t seem to do it 😢 Please please please help lol I just wanna drive my baby.
Hey bud changed thermostat and coolant temp sensor, bleed it and everything. Did notice the thermostat open because the hose on passenger side got hot but after driving it for a mile or so check engine light came up and still gave me p0125 code for closed loop. Don't know what else to do.
Hello, I have a question about the coolant, what should be pink or red> Toyota Celica 1.8 TS, VVTL 189 KM 2003, I will be grateful for your answer. Regards Fan Celica and good Video materials
If you don't properly bleed you will maintain air inside the upper block of the engine and when the engine warms up both fans will run full blast and not want to turn off. The reason is that the engine head will overheat because of the trapped air. Since the coolant temp sensor is located in the upper engine block next to the hose outlet, it sends a message to the computer to cool down the engine. Also be careful to properly plug the engine coolant temp sensor otherwise the fans will not turn off either.
Baby blue instead is brighter!! That video on the coolant thanks I know for a fact lots of celica owners did not know that or thought they did correct procedure

Coolant should be red/pink not green
The red toyota coolant it can be consume. The pink its longlife and more durable👍
Great video thanks
You’re welcome ☺️

I just added coolant and seems to have that outcome cuz it’s not working
Would the heat detected by ECT sensor cause the car to not start after that?
@@duplicityustin3400 the ECT sensor controls the fans and the fan speed. if you run it without plugging in for example, it doesn't affect starting up.
What if I just recently bought the car and don’t know what coolant the previous owner had
Yes!! Good video
Is that an original ECU duct? Someone stole mine off. How do you make that?

Bro how do I get my dash to be blue like yours?!!??! I’m tired of seeing orange!!
Bernardo Gaytan you need to change the face 1st then put led ur color
Can u send a copy of those bleed instructions I can’t read em on phone bud
Hit me up on instagram
What about if a put the same coolant I still have to bleed it ?
Hugo Rivas only have to bleed it if you disconnect one of the coolant hoses
Ok because the coolant on my celica is under the lowest mark and I would like just add coolant and don’t all that of bleed the radiator.
