The first gift was to Patrice Motsepe, a business man in South Africa. The second gift was to King Mswati, the Monarch of Eswatini. The third gift was to Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa. The fourth gift was to Chief Buthelezi, the traditional Prime Minister of the Zulu nation. All the gifts were gifted to this people from King Misizulu ka Zwelithini.
Thank you my brother for explaining to our people. As a Zulu man, keeping our culture is central to my growth, our growth and a nation that respects her culture is destined for greatness. Ngiyabonga.
BTW Patrice Motsepe is the current president's brother-in-law. King Mswati the 3rd is King Misuzulu's uncle and Chief Buthelezi has served as Prime Minister to 3 Zulu kings, the first king he served under was his cousin, King Bhekuzulu.
The old man who was gifted a lion skin is the Prime Minister of our Kingdom. He has been working for the Mornach for almost 70 years or so and has worked through 3 Zulu Kings. He is Royal and He is also the Chief of his Clan. He has done SO MUCH for our Nation and he is one of the main reasons we still stand. He deserves this honour!
Those skins are very real and very expensive.
I don't know too much about Chief Buthelezi but I've always enjoyed watching him. He is such a lovable man who really did a lot, not just for Zulu people but for SA. He's a national treasure.

Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi is Kings Misuzulus's father,fathers cousin, he is also double royalty (if I can put it that way) his mother is Princess Magogo kaDinuzulu, the sister of King Solomon kaDinuzulu, and daughter of King Dinuzulu , who are the forefathers of the king you see today. so Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi maternal family is the ZULU royalty and his father Chief Mathole Buthelezi , is also a chief in the Buthelezi clan. When you hear clan names like " NDABEZITHA , MAGEBA " for the king but also the same for Prince Buthelezi is because he is also a NDABEZITHA on top of his clan names " SHENGE ,NDABA " as he is of royalty by blood maternally and paternally (same as the king you see today, he is also double royalty by blood as his uncle is KING MSWATI THE III from eSwatini previously known as Swaziland ).

Thats a leopard skin, traditional Zulu regalia. "We do not wear a cheetah skin". The lion skin is only reserved for royalty. Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, was honoured with a lion skin for serving the Zulu nation for more than 50 years.
The King is called Isilo and Isilo is a Zulu name for a Leopard. He is also called Ingonyama,which is Lion in Zulu.

Zulu monarch is known to have fought and won the British colonisers, they are known all over the world and they are the biggest monarchy in Africa.

Yes and King Mswati III is the last remaining absolute monarch in Africa. His sister ,Queen Mantfombi was married to King Zwelithini ( King MIsuzulu's father ) and was the current King Misuzulu's mother . So King Misuzulu has royal blood from both sides of his family.

The guy you said looks like a politician is also a king but from Swaziland. The queen who passed away last year(The current king's mother) was a princess from Swaziland. When the Zulu nation was mourning the death of the queen, the Swazi nation was also mourning because that was their princess. I don't know if I make sense
Also you asked if the animal skins are real. Not all of them but for us who knows the difference we can spot it from afar. Real animal skin is super heavy and most of the time we have to do traditional dances wearing them. Can you imagine? Oh and yes, we cut them ourselves but it's usually older males that cut them. I don't know why but I guess it's mainly because animals are dangerous so they leave the killing of the animal and cutting of it's skin to the male protectors.
The other animal clothing that is not so obvious to people are the black skirts(that's the inside of a cow, not sure what it's called in English) that women wear. Normally worn by married women and those who are getting married on the day of the event
Oh one more thing. I promise this is the last one. Prince Buthelezi(the one who was gifted the lion's skin from King MisuZulu) is not only the Prime Minister of our nation but is also a Politician. He was the president and founder of his political party IFP for super many years from the days when our country was still governed by apartheid laws. They would secretly kill white people because they were fighting to gain back their land. His party during the apartheid era was known to be extremely dangerous

The animal skins are professionaly processed some people can do it with their hands it's takes time but the payout is good and these sell to almost R50k for the kings and for average people it's about R15k a set depending on what kind of animal skin you want mostly are cows, cheater and the most expensive one is a leopard
