A dear friend gifted me with a subscription to Victoria magazine, and I've been admiring that lovely blue and white tea set. It's lovely to see the set "in action" - and your homemade treats look delicious.
What a delightful video! My daughters usually don’t relish watching “mommy videos,” but my seven-year-old was captivated, and when you showed the complete tea spread, she literally clapped her hands! 😁 Then she declared, “I want to make it ALL!” And for some unexplainable reason, I had tears in my eyes. There’s something so deeply emotional about simple acts of service, care, and family ritual, if you know what I mean. 💗 Thank you for sharing, Jennifer!
A few years ago when my son was seven he wanted "a proper tea" for breakfast on the morning of his First Communion. We had the nicest time over tea and scones and fruit before getting dressed and heading to church.

This was beautiful Jennifer! Your daughter laughing at the end was so cute! My daughter recently turned 12 and we decided to splurge a little this year and give her a proper tea party at a local venue. She and her friends got a history and ettiquette lesson along with the full tea party experience and it was delightful! I was so happy that she and her friends all loved it. The adult ladies in our family thoroughly enjoyed it as well! We really need to re-create it at home sometime. Great video!
When my youngest was about 12, we went to a place with some other moms and daughters and we dressed up in period costume and were taught about the fan, coming down staircase, etc. and ended with a tea party. I had the best time!
@@TheDailyConnoisseur I was blessed to work with an elderly couple who became like parents to me. They've traveled the world to go to tea rooms! Needless to say, I've learned a lot from them.
Today I had 10 friends from our Sunday school class over for brunch. We sat out on the patio by the pool visiting, drinking tea (iced, too hot outside in Texas for hot tea now), eating yummy foods and sharing our lives. Looking at the flowers and butterflies, listening to waterfall. Discussing the strange times we are in, its effects on our country and especially our young adult kids. Encouraging each other. It was so so good to be together face to face after such along time. I hope we never take that for granted. We’ve all been so hungry for fellowship with dear friends. Im always a little nervous when I host altho I love it, but I thought, what would Jennifer say? She would say focus on your friends and blessing them, not the imperfections of your home or cobweb in the corner I might have missed. Thank you for the wonderful video today, it was so peaceful & lovely!
For some reason when your daughters came into the frame I choked up. They have quite grown up. I have been watching since your very first condo days. Seems like such a long time ago now. This is beautifully done. Great mom, giving great memories to last your family for years to come. Well done.

That was all so beautiful! ❤️ I have a suggestion for the chilled butter. Put the butter in the freezer beforehand. When frozen, grate the butter, then put back in the freezer for a bit. When it’s time to incorporate it into the rest of the ingredients, it blends so easily it’s like magic!
I still remember having tea with my mother and sister. We would dress up and make it into a full event. I have been crafting my collection so one day I can have tea time with my daughters.
What a beautiful upbringing your daughter is having. It’s a lost art that a young girl today learns how to make tea sandwiches and has a proper tea with her Mom. So inspiring. I really enjoyed this type of video....so calming and relaxing watching you cook. Please more like these ❤️

I love this, it is not necessary to spend millions to host a nice afternoon tea with friends/family... all the ingredients are so simple and already at hand... Being chic doesn't have to be expensive or you do not have to be rich to be chic... Great video... will definitely save it for when we can host again :)

I used to have monthly tea parties with a couple friends and their children. We had so much fun and the children loved using the china tea cups, adding sugar cubes, cream and stirring with a tiny spoon. The tea cakes and biscuits were fun to share and eat too. Your video reminded me of those sweet times. Thanks for sharing this. The laughter at the end was my favorite part!

How fun! I absolutely loved having tea parties with my mom. One time we even made our own clotted cream! Our dream was to have tea at the Ritz in London. It was a special day when we finally crossed that off our bucket list. It was scrumptious!

That was just wonderful ! All the effort that you went to, everything looked delicious and beautifully presented. A scone with clotted cream and jam is my absolute favourite, my mouth was literally watering when you were eating yours ha ha. We had a 'Sunday tea' every Sunday growing up (I'm in the UK). Mam seemed to spend all day Sunday cooking/baking goodies from her BeRo recipe book. We would have a Sunday roast at 1pm and at about 5pm we would have Sunday tea. As a 'grown up' I have carried on the tradition. Stay safe X

I love a good tea party! My kids and I had them, my friends and I had them and as a pastors wife, I had a big one once a year in May. It is a ritual and a blessing. My favorite one was a group of middle school girls who were part of my daughters bible study group. We set the table on the lawn with white tablecloth and napkins. My daughter and I made all the tasty goodies, we used my good china. I’ll admit I was a little scared about that but wanted the girls to feel special. It was a perfect afternoon. Nothing was broken and memories were made. Who could ask for more?

One of my very favorite traditions in life! So glad you shared this. We do mini tea parties at home as often as we can. Especially during this time of limited contact with the rest of the world, it helps us to remember what it is to be civilized😻
Absolutely beautiful! I grew up eating tea like this every Sunday. From an older English lady, I've made sausage rolls for decades and there is no really need to cook the sausage first. I love sausage rolls warm out of the oven. And if you don't twist your scone cutter when cutting - just press down then poke them out, they'll rise even more - the twisting sort of seals the edges inhibiting the rise - that's an old fashion tip from the cream tea county of Cornwall! And now to the thorny question of do you put the cream or jam on your scone first? That's a hotly debated subject here and it looks like you had a Devonshire cream tea! We had home made scones, jam and clotted cream too this week. I think you have reminded a lot of us what a simple but glorious tradition 'teatime' is. Thank you. Very best wishes Rose (Cornwall UK)

Makes me want to hire a personal chef. Love participating in the indulgence, but .... fortunately we have a French pastry shop nearby. Get to enjoy without the work. Beautiful tea set and service makes it all work. Love my tea time.
One of my very favorite traditions in life! So glad you shared this. We do mini tea parties at home as often as we can. Especially during this time of limited contact with the rest of the world, it helps us to remember what it is to be civilized😻

Absolutely beautiful! I grew up eating tea like this every Sunday. From an older English lady, I've made sausage rolls for decades and there is no really need to cook the sausage first. I love sausage rolls warm out of the oven. And if you don't twist your scone cutter when cutting - just press down then poke them out, they'll rise even more - the twisting sort of seals the edges inhibiting the rise - that's an old fashion tip from the cream tea county of Cornwall! And now to the thorny question of do you put the cream or jam on your scone first? That's a hotly debated subject here and it looks like you had a Devonshire cream tea! We had home made scones, jam and clotted cream too this week. I think you have reminded a lot of us what a simple but glorious tradition 'teatime' is. Thank you. Very best wishes Rose (Cornwall UK)
