Haha! Thank you so much. I am so glad that it was entertaining to watch! I have so many opinions about this. I feel that certainly could be true for people, trying to rebrand it. For me, it's more or less creating a label that I am not here to teach you how to homestead, this is not my reality 100% of the time, and I embrace being my weird fantasy loving self. Even though I do appreciate homesteading and all that I have learned, I don't feel connected to that online community anymore. I like to make art more and this is how I like to make it! I definitely started off my blog and social channels by sharing the more millennial version of homesteading 10 years ago because that's what I thought that I had to do to be a part of that community as a business owner, but I don't feel that way anymore. Anyone can homestead and do so while being their unique themselves!
I have autism and adhd along with ptsd from being abused for many years in my past. When i have a bad day, i come here. It gives me motivation to go outside or bake or cook something to can. The lack of narrating makes my brain calm down. I so appreciate what you do!

Just saw your video for the first time, wow, stunning. The moment I saw you take down the CottageCore Baking Book I had to order it. I've just started to adapt to the cottage core lifestyle (I'm 80, never too late) and it is bringing much needed calm and peace into my life. Blessings!

But the smell of spring and the change of recipes for Easter gathering of all the families recipes oh the smells. Chickens to be fed, eggs to gather and bunnys all across the lawn.the fresh chives or wild ramps aka leeks to flavor everything lovely. Ty for sharing the linen on the line and the pretty yellow iron. I can almost hear the crack of the sheets in march wids of the laundry drying and the smell it leaves on the clothes. I agree the memories we have and those who keep them alive we are special folks keepers of time home by not lost when we keep them alive. Although inspired their European roots, have a different aesthetic history and sensibility, although it's less obvious in this video.
I haven't made puff pastry or seen anyone else make it since I used to watch Julia Childs make it on PBS. This brought back so many good memories. I'm dealing with severe depression right now and watching this really helped me get through the night.

Absolutely beautiful bakes and sweet, beautiful fur babies. My fur baby who is also a ginger like your baby, was a rescued stray. When i look back at pictures of him when we first got him, I’m reminded that he was so fat lol! Most strays and ferals can hold their own, find food and shelter and make do. You’re so sweet to take such good care of them ❤
