In fact, I thought they were all the same thing! After having a few people contact me about this recently, I thought a tutorial would come in handy to clarify it all for you and help you learn the difference between the Puff, Bobble and Popcorn stitch in crochet.

This video cleared my confusion I never had lol HAHAHA I just thought it was different names for the same stitch lol
so goog jop 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I sincerely thought I was going crazy. I recently got a book teaching how to make crochet succulents and the instructions for the popcorn stitch are instructions for the bobble stitch. Thanks to you, I now know this to be incorrect. You never let me down. You taught me to crochet through your videos over 2 years ago and I've not put down my hook since. Thank you!
You are very welcome and I am so glad that they have been of help to you :)
One of the most clear instructions on RUclips. Thank you so much for the concise information. The tutorial is just amazing and to the point.
You are very welcome :)
Thank you for your helpful video, you're easy to follow, to understand, and your voice is easy to listen too. :)

Thank you so much!! I also thought these were basically the same stitch as well! It seems just when I need help w/ a project, you are there w/ a tutorial just in time! I am attempting my first bobble square! I go to you for everything, thanks again!!
Thank you. These are awesome stitches. I can not wait to try them myself. I truly appreciate the way you break down each stitch. Thank you so much for your time in making these vlogs.
Thank you so much for showing not only the stitch, but how you place it in the row, how you start and stop, and how you turn to make the next row. I also appreciate that you specified that the bauble stitch makes different size stitches for the next row to track into.
Your video is wonderful and concise, I've been designing a blanket for my young neice and your video has given me the information to easily plan the stitch count to include popcorn stitch letters. Thank you so much. I just have to make sure I use the correct stitches because I'm used to American crochet terms and I'm really glad you include them.
Thank you so much, and I'm so glad that this has been of help to you. Good luck with your blanket :)
Perfect. Thank you for the clear instructions!
Excellent teaching as ever. Thank you ❤️❤️

Thank you for another excellent tutorial in which you explained and demonstrated the three stitches really well! I attempted the heart bobble stitch square that you did an earlier tutorial on quite recently and fell in love with the stitch then - I love making the actual stitch and the effect it gives too! I shall now give the other two stitches a go as well xx

Thank you for your tutorials! I love to crochet but I have to have a tutorial to follow. I’m fairly new and I’m more of a visual learner. Thank you so much! I would love to learn how to scatter the popcorn stitch or bobble stitch throughout my crochet! Like crocheting an initial or name in bobble on my blanket. 🥰
You are very welcome, I do have a tutorial for a bobble heart square which maybe of help to you - here is the link:- ruclips.net/video/aNX69TazoG0/видео.html :)

Hi Sarah-jayne, love your tutorials....can you tell me what hook you used in this video; can't seem to find the info in your links. Thanking you in advance.
I enjoy your videos thank you :) Just a question, is there a pattern besides the marshmallow stitch where the bubbles are on both sides ? Thank you for any information you can share !!!!
Thanks a lot for this great tutorial 😍
You're welcome 😊
thank you ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for this video it was very helpful I have been trying to figure out the best puppy stitch to make a blanket for my daughter and it turns out the bubble stitch was just the one I needed and you did clarify a whole lot of confusion.
You're very welcome :)
Oh thank you so very much. I have been trying to learn how to do the puff stitch but all the tutorials I watched prior to your video did not show how to go on to do the next row of puff stitches. I tried to do the second row of puffs but they were facing the wrong side of the fabric. I wondered if I needed to make a row of single crochet (I'm from U.S.) between my rows of puff stitches. Your video was the only one I found that said to do just that. All the other stopped at the end of the first row of puffs and left me totally hanging. Thanks again for helping me to figure out what to do. Now I will be able to make my puff, bobble and popcorn stitches like a pro.
You're very welcome :)
Thank you so much for sharing.
😊💚😊💚
You are very welcome :)
I started making puff stitches following an chart and at first one realized that I dont know which way is right and I didn't know why 😇🙈 I searched for tutorial for the puff stitch and clicked on yours, luckily first one, and its cristal clear now why the confusion, I had all of them three mixed up in my head and didn't know which one is right 🙂 thank you
