A lot of good thoughts here 😁
Thanks brother always 🙏
What does Doc recommend for patients post hair transplant? (Category 2) thanks
Well, being I can only get 5mg Finasteride my dermatologist told me to 1/4 them into 1.25 and take that daily... I am 66 years old.
I would prefer a 1mg dose, considering taking the 1.25 every other day.
My Rx company (Wellcare) only offers Finasteride in 5mg 30 count.
Yep,you can also just go 6 days a week with that dosage. No need to go over 7 mg a week.Otherwise you run into the law of diminishing returns.
thanks bro
Thanks for that. I'd love to know what his options were on older fellas
@Chris_Bartlett I'm not on Instagram or any social media crap except youtube
Hey Matt. I was wondering where on the norwood scale you would place yourself currently? My hairline looks a lot like yours at 18
0.5 E.O.D. is only like 2.0 mg a week.(wasn't enough for me,so I don't recommend it). Sweet spot for most people is somewhere between 3.0-5.0 mg a week.
So maybe try 1mg EOD to start?
What about taking 0.25mg Monday , Wednesday, Friday and Saturday ???
What do you recommend for case 2 (hair transplant)?
Bro can you provide a hair cloning new video please
I did 6.5k grafts 2 months ago. A month after the HT my doctor advised me to use 1.25mg of Finasteride 3 times per week [monday, wednesday and friday]. After only 1 month of usage I can see tiny hairs sprawling out on temples area, and this is due to Finasteride as grafts weren't transplanted there. So yea 1.25mg of Finasteride 3 times per week at least for me so far is working like a magic thank God!
PS: for anyone wondering I'm using finasteride from PROSCAR. I'm based in Montenegro [southeast Europe/Balkans].

Decided to give oral fin another try started with .25mg daily for 2 months, bumped up to .5 for two more months and now 1mg daily. Sides haven't gotten worse.. lets hope the hair stays the same!

Optimal dosage for people age 40+ is 2.5 mg finasteride in the morning and 2.5 mg at night. This is what I am taking. I am almost 45 years old. 1mg of finasteride per day is too weak once middle aged. In addition to this I am taking 2 1/2 mg of oral minoxidil by day and 2 1/2 mg by night. I am taking estradiol and estriol cream once a day and will start taking spironolactone 50 mg and work my way up to 100 mg. @@chrisbal4882 None from finasteride and my body got used to the minoxidil but it took awhile. Will be interesting to see what side effects I get from spironolactone as a dude. Men rarely take this drug outside of male to female trans individuals.

You can try 5x week
1mg everyday would give maximum effects. Only thing that will happen with higher doses is a build up of the drug in the system. Good lead to side effects, could be okey
Iam from 2.5 mg no side effect
Try adding A stimulant like minoxidil instead of increasing the dose of Finasteride.

I can get the 5 mg. tablets free through insurance. Would one 5 mg tablet every 2 weeks work? Or if I can cut them in half, then a half tablet once per week? (for thinning hair, not bald)

@@malithsamaradivakara6967 how about one 5 mg. Tablet every two weeks?
If you only take Finesteride 3 times a week do you have to space the days out or can u do them all consecutively?
I think ideally space the days - but no mandatory. Some doctors recommend use a fixed schema like 'Monday - Wednesday - Friday' or 'Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday'. But this is completely flexible
What about taking 0.25mg Monday ,
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday ?
Wouldn't it be more beneficial for your body and hormones if you consistently took the same dose everyday as opposed to eod in order to regulate hormone production?

I was going to disagree with this guy, but eventually he comes to the same conclusion. This is precious hair we are talking about -- and we need to stop it dead in it's tracks, so just jump on 1mg ED. You can't risk trying a low dose, only to find out 3-6 months later that you are a non-responder at that low dose. Hair re-growth is slow enough already; can't waste time. Just jump straight to 1mg and if you get sides, then lower dose and frequency until they go away. I also like his protocol of adding Dut in once a week, which I think should be the next step after someone has been on Fin for a considerable time.
The problem with your plan is that it ignores limp dick syndrome. Hair is not as precious as the ability to have sex.
I am currently abandoning oral Finasteride.

@nazhul this would go in line with Dr Bhatti's sweet spot - 0.5mg - 0.8mg Fin EOD.
Doing the same as you three times a week (~1.25 mg, MWF). I'm thinking of reducing to twice or even once a week to maintain my hair or increasing dosage to 4-5 times a week to see if I can improve my gains. Not sure yet since I'm ok with not losing more hair and not having side effects with my current regimen, but I risk losing hair again or experiencing sides by changing my routine.

Finasteride really works, 0.25% or 1%.
The sad part for me is that after 10 years it all the sudden stoped working. I have spoken to a lot of people who have used it for more than 10 years and a lot of people experience the same. I’m 34 now.
I have even done steam cells 2 times. I spent like 30k on it. It was a waste. I wish I had used that money for a trip or something like that.
So finasteride slows down the hair loss process but sooner or later hair loss wins. Hair loss is embedded in our DNA, it has been part of our DNA for thousands of years.
I am still on finasteride, oral minoxidil and topical minoxidil and finasteride. Dermorrolling once a week. It’s obvious I’m balding and keeping my hair long makes me look reducidlos. My next option is hair transplants but this is a fight against reality. My brother did hair transplants and it looks so bad in Person.
I honestly believe that shaving and doing scalp pigmentation is not a bad option.
You need to swith to Dutasteride and the Minoxidil pill. Take just a quarter of the minoxidil pill then another 1/4 an hour later for a week, then go half then go full. It can cause chest pain. I had chest pain for the first 3 days and severe chest pain when I took it twice one day by accidet. Going on month 5 now and it seems to be working. Only thing that sucks is i have random hairs on my ears growing and the tops of my hands have been growing so fast I have to cut it once a week
